The best restaurants serving British food in Salcombe and Malborough South Hams South West

Very clean, organised barn stop offering a good selection of cakes and snacks. Also a great variety of drink choices. Clean and tidy tables and toilets. All offered on an honesty basis. I hope people respect this trust and pay for a lovely place to stop and refuel.

Friendly, brilliant service ,very traditional hotel, have been 8 times in last 6 years, FOOD outstanding , not found better anywhere in the UK. FANTASTIC location, seeing SEALS swimming in the harbour at the edge of the beach AMAZING.

This is a fantastic place to go for ice cream or for us adults a nice cuppa. Delish flavours with a wide selection, staff very friendly. And most importantly individual toilets! Would highly recommend.

Great cafe. Owner lovely, friendly and accommodating. Always busy, even in the middle of winter. Bacon doorstep sandwiches are awesome.

Although we’ve been coming to this area for years we’d never explored Bolberry. We stumbled across Oceans Restaurant during a dog walk and stopped for an excellent lunch. So nice we booked for dinner a couple of nights later and we’ve just returned from a lovely meal, probably the nicest evening out we’ve had for a long time. Excellent food, lovely setting, great service. We will certainly return and highly recommend.

We've been coming here for six years. The staff were always very friendly and the food excellent. Not any more ! Under new ownership, there has now been no food at all for several months and the staff are often off-hand. To make it worse, the Old Inn website still claims that food is served and even gives a sample menu. The pub's facebook group, which has frequent updates from the new management, states "... high quality homecooked food sourced locally." And there are posters either side of the front door proclaiming that food is available !

We popped in for a quick bite and the steak pasty did not disappoint and it was delicious. What we loved about it, it was hot 🔥 and full to the brim. It had a good portion of meat and it was well seasoned and tender. They had a lot of other savouries and sweets on offer and would recommend them all if the quality is the same as the pasties. I don't think you can do much about the atmosphere, 1 member of staff, empty shop and no noise, not even background music playing.

Amazing coffee and flapjack as a lovely snack. Fabulous view over the salcombe estuary. Will most definitely be returning :)

Warmly greeted, and seated straight away which is unusual in this popular venue. Service prompt and food excellent. The fish pie was wonderful and clearly home made. The fish and chips, just wow.

A lovely way to celebrate my Granddaughter’s 18th Birthday - fine dining and good service with a celebratory cake to round things off. The view from the restaurant is amazing and added to the ambience of the meal.

Definitely the best Vegetarian Breakfast. Served all day . Excellent value and great coffee. Friendly staff and dog friendly. Don’t forget to browse their shop as well . A veritable Aladdin’s Cave.

Had the best lunch at the Victoria today. The food was outstanding so was the service, definitely recommended it .

Welcoming cozy bar (we sat in the bar rather than the lounge) Fabio the owner / manager was very friendly. We ordered a slice of pizza and he generously brought out the whole pizza (no extra charge) the other meals were beautiful. We will definitely return. Well worth a visit.

This was our third New Year's Eve in a row at The Ferry Inn and I couldn’t think of a better place in Salcombe to spend it than our favourite pub. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Steve the manager and given glasses of Prosecco. Throughout the evening the atmosphere was warm and friendly, making it an extra special night for everyone. The food was outstanding, fresh and well presented. Every course was delicious, and the generous portions were perfect for a such a special night. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly so we enjoyed our evening as much as possible. The Ferry never fails to deliver, and this New Year’s Eve meal was no exception. We’re already looking forward to more visits in 2025!

Great pub on the narrow streets of Salcombe. 3 real ale on offer, doom bar, landlord and a very local brew Salcombe. Varied menu for lunch time, and interesting specials, attentive service and a real fire make this pub worth finding.
