Very clean, organised barn stop offering a good selection of cakes and snacks. Also a great variety of drink choices. Clean and tidy tables and toilets. All offered on an honesty basis. I hope people respect this trust and pay for a lovely place to stop and refuel.

Really chill vibes, just off the high street of salcombe so you miss the manic foot traffic. Really tasty food and beer and both the owner and staff were incredibly friendly. Would recommend to anyone in Salcombe who wants to stray from the usual pasties or pub grub and eat some healthy and delicious South African food.

The best...in Salcombe for Glorious, clean, tasty, sandwiches, baguettes, salad boxes, deserts to take away. Fine, quality ingredients...prepared in a light, bright, scurrilous clean shop environment. Great, genuine, customer service. Thank you. A credit to the catering proffesion. Much Respect.

We stopped here for a coffee after a lovely walk in Hope Cove. Ended up having cream tea followed by a lovely glass of wine. Cream tea was beautiful, service wonderful, staff amazing, and view incredible. Felt so welcome. Thank you. Will definitely be back

Early booking for my wife, 4 month old and I after strong recommendations. Lovely spot, real nice inside. Maitre D was fabulous all evening - steering my wife away from “messy” dishes that wouldn’t be ideal with a 4 month old in her hands!! Food was fab, the best bit if bass I’ve ever eaten. Service could be a little sharper - I had to ask for more drinks and chase my fries that arrived halfway through the meal. That aside, great evening. Call ahead to book for sure.

Salcombe Dairy Ice Cream in Salcombe, United Kingdom, is a must stop for ice cream lovers. With more than 40 years of tradition, this ice cream parlor is known for its artisanal approach and the use of high-quality ingredients, many of them from the region. The ice creams are made without preservatives or artificial colors, which enhances the authentic flavor of each ingredient. They offer a wide variety of flavors, from classics like vanilla and strawberry to more daring combinations like honey and ginger ice cream or dark chocolate with sea salt. The texture is creamy and smooth, and the flavor is rich without being overly sweet. As well as ice cream, Salcombe Dairy also produces sorbets and chocolates, adding more delicious options to their offering. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere in the store is welcoming, with views across Salcombe Harbour, making the experience even more special. It is the perfect place to enjoy an ice cream while strolling through this picturesque coastal town. Without a doubt, an experience not to be missed when visiting Salcombe.

Absolutely amazing place for a treat, prices are reasonable for the experience. Our waiting member of staff was amazing and funny. A great experience, a little limited on vegetarian options over vegan but that's to be expected these days. Overall, very good.

We have eaten at this lovely coffee shop several times in the last few days and the food and very friendly service has been great each time. Coronation Chicken salad and club sandwich on day one, tea and cake on day two, full English and Vegan breakfast this morning and Devon cream tea this afternoon! Excellent produce and very filling portions. It's a good job we are walking around 6 miles a day! Highly recommended. We'll be back again before we leave Salcombe!

Booked in advance. Table ready on time Waitress extremely friendly and polite. We were advised there was a massive table in but we were still a little disappointed when it took 1 hour and 5 mins for the mains to arrive The starter arrived after about 30 minutes The starter was amazing. Great portion and super crispy fish. My husband’s ribs were a good size, chips decent and a little pot of coleslaw Unfortunately my salmon (£24) came and the size of the salmon was wholly inadequate given the price and even more so as they were aware how long we had waited. I pointed it out ( they agreed ) and I was given a fantastic replacement 15 mins later but my husband had finished eating. Hardly the idea of sharing a meal together. I was offered a free drink but as I was on squash I saw little point. I had hoped I would be offered a goodwill discount but sadly this was not the case. I was not going to ask as I shouldn’t have to. So overall wonderful food let down by the chef and waiting staff letting it go out when it was clearly an inadequate portion. I have only dropped one star for the issue we incurred as the food quality, staff and ambience were great.

SUPERB…. We had the haddock, chips, minted peas etc personally delivered to our accommodation , a beautiful holiday cottage behind the restaurant, which is dog friendly and has stunning views. The whole experience is excellent and we cannot fault any of it. Everything wonderfully cooked to perfection. Thankyou.

Limited opening times, No food so asked out of curtesy if grandson could eat a snack. Was told no but to eat outside in the garden which had a closed sign on the gate, so had eat in the smoking area. Didn't feel particularly welcome. No alternative snack was offered. Wasn't very accommodating, we were staying local and would have returned for a meal but they said closed Monday and Tuesday and we would need to book if wanted to return. I would advise anyone to give this pub a a miss as there are much better pubs in the area
