My family and I had a fantastic and reasonably priced meal at the Imperial on Saturday. The food was tasty, plentiful and well presented - and the young waitress who served us was smiley and friendly. Will definitely return.

We stayed here for close location to the polar Express train ride, excellent location, excellent staff service, also had a meal which was great food and breakfast, would definitely recommend and would stay again. Thank you.

Christmas lunch for 12 of us. Pre ordered from a balanced and varied seasonal menu that included fish and vegetarian options. Excellent value and we were very well looked after. Exceptional selection of well cooked Vegetables, recipe for the red cabbage please . Some of us were disappointed that we didn't have room for a desert ! This is a family owned proper pub with helpful competent staff. Parking right opposite but payment by card challenged some of us oldies.

We realise that this restaurant cannot provide a large menu especially during the autumn /winter but on our evening the fish choice was not on (replaced with a lazy prawn dish) and out of two desserts the crumble was also not available! Feel this is lazy as there is so much fish available locally and the excuses to not provide an apple crumble is in fact rather lazy from the kitchen. If you only want to offer pizzas and burgers, fine but don’t disappoint people with omissions.

Homemade Treats: Everything is made fresh daily, including jam-filled doughnuts, buttery croissants, sourdough, farmhouse white, granary, or wholemeal loaves, chocolate brownies, pasties, and cakes. Wide Variety: The Bake House offers a wide range of treats, from pasties to gigantic Chelsea buns, and deep-filled sandwiches served in freshly baked granary baps. High Ratings: The bakery has received high ratings on various platforms, with customers raving about the delicious and fresh food. Friendly Service: The staff are known for their friendly and attentive service, making the dining experience enjoyable.
