Totnes Brewing Company in South Hams

Brilliant place, heart and soul of Totnes. Lovely friendly staff. If you're into Great Cider or Craft Beer you won't be disappointed. But they also have other options as well. Great vibe. Dog friendly. And you can bring food in.

Downstairs is a lovely pub which allows you to bring in food to eat if you like, with a great beer garden that doubles as a DJ stage sometimes at the weekend. Upstairs is a cool venue for live music and shows. Cosy but not too much.

A very old pub with a friendly welcome. Brew their own beer and it's brilliant! Loved the 4.5% IPA. Sat out in the beer garden for a couple of pints. Great start to a tour of local pubs.

Good selection of beer at sensible prices. No food available but you can get it delivered via Deliveroo or similar. It was a bit quiet for a weekend, maybe too early.

If we could 6 stars we would! Loved it here, great little find, brilliant staff, excellent ale and cider, cosy atmosphere and friendly clientele too. Two guys left offering us up the best seats in the house! Spent the evening watching the world of Totnes going by. Perfect end to our Devon holiday, thanks guys, we will be back! 😊

Having previously given a 5* review I retract it 100%. The barmaid and regulars didn't like it that I asked for wine details. "'Take it or leave it attitude' Appalling. Accused of being rude. Said they were pleased I was going home next day. A pub is as good as its staff. Dreadful

Another awesome spot to visit in Totnes… Really vibrant inside and outside. Nice touch to the place. Got a good selection of drinks and nibbles… Not sure if they cater for little ones but the court yard out the back is very secure.

Proper boozer, loved it. I've seen reviews about unfriendly staff, I have to say, from my experience the staff were fabulous. The beer range was exceptional, their brewery set up is brilliant, I tried the Mosiac and I was lovely. I'm really glad I made the visit.

The guy jarred knows hospitality he made us sooo welcome above n beyond service. Makes u want to return n thats b4 youve had an ale or superb coffee made to yr specification. He puts most staff in the hospitality trade to shame. So take a lesson from australia 's jarred all those who want customers to return.

Interesting quirky little pub selling real ale and craft beer. Worth a visit though staff weren't wearing masks and didn't encourage anyone else to wear them. Worth a visit if in area.

Wow what a place. A beer lovers dream run by passionate, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Dog friendly with the best beer selection I've found so far in Devon. A cosy but large indoor space with a beer garden out back. Good tunes, great pints and the lovely smell of fresh beer being brewed. An absolute must if you are in the area.

Not the greatest selection of Craft on at the moment, and often closed. Having said that, at least they are still going! I really like the courtyard out the back.

5 star beer, ale or cider take your pick the Devon mist is a must try tho, you'll be surprised by the garden out the back witch is just as nice to sit in as the pub. I'll always be a fan as the atmosphere is what you look for 😁

Wonderful drinks selection and 'bring your own food' policy

Only had one lunch time pint in the outside area, but it was an excellent IPA, brewed on the premises. The staff were efficient and friendly, so well worth the walk up the steep high street or Castle Street.

The Totnes Brewing Company was a recommendation by the Steamer Quay Campsite. We spent a lovely afternoon in the garden looking up to the castle sampling the beers they brew. Very helpful friendly staff that enhance your experience with great knowledge of their stock. Have to say we left inebriated 🥴 thank you all. We also had our tea delivered from the the Pie Street as you can eat your own takeaway in the pub. How cool is that 😎

A great bar, with friendly, helpful staff who knew their beers and helped us both pick something we would enjoy. Could happily have stayed much longer.

Totnes is a must visit town in Devon, and this place is a must visit if you're in Totnes. Lovely staff that are friendly and helpful. Brews good beer along with ample selection of others and offers flight to try various guest beers. Allows bringing in take-out from other restaurants which is great, allows visitors to try good food and beer at the same time.

Outstanding service from the Aussie guy. Warm and inviting place, good music, excellent choice of beers. Shame we don't live nearby otherwise this would become our local. Absolute must visit.

Pintshop never fails to deliver straight up pure vibes. The instant you walk in the door the vibe will hit you so hard you will instantly need a pint of Korev and a rolly to calm yourself down. Rumour has it that the government is plotting to bring about the downfall of this brewery due to its "unquestionably superior vibes, which threaten the not only the local pub economy in Totnes, but indeed the success of bar venues all across Devon" (extract from classified document).

A great selection of good beer. Lovely traditional Salon ambience. Best of all you can order outside food, have it delivered to the pub and eat it in.

This is easily one of the best watering holes in totnes and the surrounding area. With funny, kind and considerate bar staff and a stupendous range of ales, lagers and cider from all over the world it is a must see. The large beer garden is stunning in the sun and atmospheric in the nights. A warm inviting atmosphere draws one inside with a blazing fire and comfortable seating. I have many fond memories of grand people and interesting conversations which would not have been if not for the facilitations of the totnes brewery.

Absolutely fabulous! If you like beer and you're in Totnes don't think twice! Intact if you're in Devon just make a beeline there right now!!

Staff are lovely, selection is great! It's got a good old timey feel to it. Only negative is that there were flies everywhere to the point where I got one in my drink. It's tricky when there's beer around I know.

Great selection of craft beers, ale's and ciders, some local brews and some better known stuff like Bevertown on tap. Definitely go here again when we are back in Totnes.
