What a great traditional pub. Fabulous Sunday lunch today with drinks. Staff and regulars all very pleasant and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

Community pub that seems to engender a good feeling in everyone. Great staff and some top notch small batch brews from all the way in the back of the pub, where George turns out some classic bitter, Albert ale, a cracking stout and a refreshing pale. Food was tasty and cooked to order. Ideal for the caravan site as it's a short walk home.

We came across The Albert by luck and had a delicious roast dinner. It's quite quirky and has a tasty home-brew beer. The bar staff and the regulars were all very friendly.

Traditionally old pub serving an excellent selection of Bridetown brewery cask ales, which are brewed on the premises all served in tiptop condition.

Best pub in Totnes. Very cosy and great selection of beers. Haven’t tried the food yet but it looked good.

Love this place! We go for the open mic live music on Wednesday nights and have a pint of their Albert Ale which is brewed on-site. Amazing 👏

This is an absolutely cracking pub. Good beer which is mostly brewed in house. The staff and patrons are friendly and if you are a dog lover, they roam freely which was a refreshing change. Go here at least once every time in Totnes. I recommend absolutely.

Lovely local brewhouse pub. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and customers, decent beers especially their stout, enjoyed my limited time here. The landlord arranges various themed days such as a Sri Lankan menu or sausage and mash days. Plus mini beer festivals. Excellent pub.

Absolute gem of a pub, classic freehold in the heart of Totnes. Best steak I’ve had in any pub anywhere. Great food cooked simply, excellent beers brewed in house. Very reasonable prices! They’ll certainly make a regular out of me!

My favorite pub in town, though it’s hidden away on the far side of the bridge so it’s easy to overlook. The beer is excellent, the staff friendly, and of course there’s a little cocker spaniel, also called Albert if I remember right. The seats aren’t terribly comfy, but everything else is perfect.

Great pub and micro-brewery. Was here for the beer festival. All their own ales and definitely the best pub festival I've done in a long time. Not a bad beer amongst them. Friendly people and a chance to chat with the head brewer.

Pies are unbelievable. Bar staff chatty and knowledgeable. Pub looks like a second hand shop,which is absolutely bloody perfect. Oh and the beers are great of course.

A Quality establishment, home of The Bridgetown brewery, 3 of their ales are served., A great multi room layout. Friendly pub dogs roam the premises.

We went here to join a ghost walk on a Tuesday evening. The service in the pub was very good and the landlord was very knowledgeable about the drinks he served and even had his own brewery in the back! The ghost walk was great too, very informative and hosted by a nice guy who was very friendly.

Enjoyed a pint here during a friendly open mike night every Wednesday I believe. Good service and beer. Just across Dart river from high street, worth a visit, group of mature lady tourists from Switzerland were enjoying the evening too on my visit.

Had a very pleasant Sunday lunch in the Albert, chosen at random from the many places available in the area. A lovely old-fashioned pub (maybe older than the mid-19th century the name suggests?) which hasn't been ripped out and modernised, and much the better for it. Very nice beers, some brewed on the premises, friendly staff, and the roast lamb we had was plentiful, nicely done and came with 3 veg plus roast potatoes and a good-sized Yorkshire pudding. There are options for small, medium and large, which must be good for those with a smaller appetite than me (most people!). I only wish I could have spent an evening there.

Fantastic local pub with brewery, definitely worth finding

I love this pub. Very atmospheric and cosy with friendly and knowledgeable staff. They brew their own beers and have a nice open fire in the back room. We haven't eaten there but a lot of people recommend the food.

Went for the quiz midweek. Good fun, friendly staff, nice beer and reasonable prices. Definitely going back for another go

Excellent old pub just a short 2 minute walk from the centre of Totnes over the old River Dart bridge. Well worth visiting for the great food and tasting the superb Bridgetown range of real ales brewed on the premises.

This is a lovely local pub, with its own microbrewery, and simple but great pub grub priced to suit. Its got 5 stars because it is exactly what it presents as, a great local, good food, friendly, and cosy. Go there and support a smashing little venue.

Came in here this evening with my best mate, we felt welcome.😊I tried their own two ales they brew, plus one on tap. All very good and moreish. Chatted with locals and landlord/ barstaff. Really enjoyed our visit. Cheers Bottoms up 😀

Great pub supper friendly, dogs allowed made really welcome and would advise it for a great choice to get a bit outside of town.

A bit basic but then, it's old and traditional. Has its own microbrewery and other local beers and is a free house.

Cosy little alleyway of a pub; wood panelling, old photos and brewery paraphernalia, feels like the weight of the surrounding buildings are slowly crushing the space smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller. Flipping love it! Great in-house beer too, and a mere £3.20 a pint. Geddon bae, geddon.

Best Sunday lunch in Bridgetown, Been coming here for Sunday lunch for a while now and never once have I had to give negative feedback. Really wonderful pub with friendly pub dog set in a great location, beer garden with Thier own brewed beer. Please make sure you book for Sunday lunch as it'll become very busy. Excellent little pub with a very tasty selection of ales made in house. The outside seating is in need of a bit of tlc and it's perhaps not the best location for a large group but as a quiet local boozer I can't rate it highly enough.

This is my favourite pub in Totnes. Although it's all, it has the variety of a front bar, snug bar and terrace out the back partly sheltered from sun, rain, wind. Landlord brews his own beer as well cooks his own pies etc. Great little local 'proper pub'!

Not really a pub for a relaxing drink, especially on Sunday. Sunday is geared up for roast dinners, you literally can not find a space to stand or sit. However, I have been there on different evenings and it is the complete opposite,stand, sit anywhere you like. There is no atmosphere
