The best restaurants in Salcombe and Malborough South Hams South West

Assuming this is the right place as there have been a few changes, but….. really glad we stopped to eat here. Slightly away from the melée but food excellent, service excellent and play list, well, also excellent.

A lovely way to celebrate my Granddaughter’s 18th Birthday - fine dining and good service with a celebratory cake to round things off. The view from the restaurant is amazing and added to the ambience of the meal.

I went here for a family birthday and the woman who served us was so RUDE! She said to my husband that he SHOULDNT BE EATING IN A PLACED LIKE THIS. And because i took the service charge off because i wanted to tip the waiter in cash before i could ever do that she started criticising MY HUSBAND and saying that we was not good customer and shouldnt eat here because of the people we are we are never eat here again and i do not appreciate the staff at all

Definitely the best Vegetarian Breakfast. Served all day . Excellent value and great coffee. Friendly staff and dog friendly. Don’t forget to browse their shop as well . A veritable Aladdin’s Cave.

Great setting - we could watch the racing in the estuary and look out to sea. Went for drinks as we were staying with friends in the town, so had no parking problems. You need to sign in as a guest from another sailing club. The bar had a decent range of beers, and we noticed there was food available - so I had a delicious half-pint of prawns, and the others had whitebait and one had soup. Well-presented food. If there is any complaint it's that the menu is delivered from a database that can';t offer an order of bread. The bread with the soup was excellent, and we tried to order some more to go with the other food, and were told it was not possible. Looks like the machines are taking over!

Very nice - quite amusing how everyone waits in the street for orders to come out. really nice food. Four of us ate 3 cod and two large portions of chips.

Greeted by the lovely Nicki, warm fire in the bar and a real cosy pub Fantastic choice on the menu which boasts huge local suppliers Local meats and fish all available, after eventually deciding what to have I went for the mixed grill Wow!!!! Perfectly cooked medium rare rump steak, lamb chop, pork chop, gammon steak, 2 sausage, chips, mushroom, grilled tomato and a fried egg Every single item cooked to perfection 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 And all of that for £35! Amazing value for money and made so welcome Cannot fault our evening and definitely coming back Thank you team Fortescue!!!!

Dog and kid friendly pub in beautiful location - they have board games and other family favourites to keep everyone entertained, food is good - though depending on the dish the portion can sometimes seem a bit small. The views are beautiful.

Thought this would have been a good establishment to eat at. Unfortunately as we first arrived and got ourselves seated. After about 15 minutes I'm o one came to our table. To provide us a menu or ask if we wanted a drink. I went to the bar to see if I needed to order there. As no one had come to our table. We were told someone will come. And to sit back down After another 5 minutes we were attended too. I ordered the home made steak burger. My other half ordered the fish and chips. After about 45 minutes or waiting. I asked when would our food be served, We were told another 5 minutes. Another 15 minutes past . No sign of our food. We were then told there had been a mistake made on our order!! We were offered 2 glasses of coke on the house. But I said our car park ticket is now running out. I decided to ask for the bill on our x2 drinks and bail out. As this was becoming a joke. Not a nice experience. As we left with no food served to us after over an hour A ''local'' decided to give my partner and myself verbal abuse on us exiting. My partner was very upset by this . And also the experience in general. The restaurant by the way was less than half full. Not busy . Which sometimes you can understand for a delay. All in all I feel this place is very over priced. Service very poor. And my advice is stay away. Try somewhere else.

Visited the Jetty Restaurant at the Harbour Hotel and ended up coming back two nights in a row. Food was excellent but the service from James and Alex was especially brilliant. Engaging, well informed, professional - made it a very enjoyable and entertaining evening. Can highly recommend.

Good food and a lovely atmosphere

I booked 2 nights for friends online, i had some simple questions about parking and accessibility but couldn't get hold of anyone to answer my questions so i cancelled. I cancelled nearly 1 month before the cut off for a full 100% refund ( clearly stated in their contract when booking) . I then spent nearly 2 months calling, emailing, leaving voicemails to get my money back - they ignored every one. In the end I had to claim the money back via my bank. If my bank hadnt stepped in and help, this establishment would have stolen over £400 from me. I am writing to hopefully sway others and stop them doing the same to others
