Over £9 for two single scoop ice creams!!!Both in their chocolate cones - which really are not worth it. Not only that but rum and raisin ice cream was pretty bad, had bits of ice through it and was crunchy like it had been defrosted and refrozen. Would not recommend this place.

Lots of ice cream flavours to choose from and they are all delicious especially the sorbets and lots of tables and chairs for people to sit and big space. Lovely

Situated in the centre of town in a prime site, excellent product, sitting space inside with cheap side side tables and chairs but a rip off - money trap. Cheaper ice-cream elsewhere in town. No AMEX credit card accepted.

Had ice cream here with a friend, both of us received more liquid than solid ice cream. Flavours were bland and if eating in a cone it was simply a melted mess. Overpriced and poor quality, avoid.

Had ice creams here whilst walking round Salcombe - we ordered the mango sorbet and Salcombe mud flavours. The mango sorbet was really nice and creamy, but the Salcombe mud was tasteless and had ice crystals in it so it was basically like eating ice with a grainy texture. There are better ice cream shops out there.

We just bought ice cream on hand at the Harbor Café. The ice cream tasted good, but unfortunately there were ice crystals in each of my two scoops (different flavors). This is usually a sign of temperature fluctuations during storage. Ice crystals form when ice cream thaws slightly and then freezes again. For me this was a lack of quality, especially since the ice cream was relatively expensive (8.60 GBP for three scoops) and the second scoop was smaller than the first. The man behind the counter was friendly. In the front area, various fudge creations made from local ingredients were offered. There were several uninviting seats in the back area. In my opinion, there is a lot of potential being left out here.

Enjoyed sitting outside in the hot sunshine on a relatively cool day, sipping ice cafe, not bad. Service was good.

Good choice of ice cream flavors in a cone at this cafe close to the Salcombe waterfront- we enjoyed their peppermint/chocolate and blackcurrant/sorbet. Also good espresso. The nearby maritime museum is interesting and worth a look once you've enjoyed one of this place's treats.

Check out the Council hygiene status of this establishment. The window shows a 5. The real hygiene status is 1, as quoted on the Environmental Agency website. Today, the BBC have published a report about the number of establishments that lie about thier hygiene status. It's better to check their website than rely on the stickers in the window. 23/4/25 Good to see that they have made an effort to improve thier standards. It's now a hygiene status of 3.

Lovely atmosphere. Considering the prices I wouldn't go for a romantic meal in the big hall, anyone and everyone walks in and out. There is a more cosy area but we weren't given an option to sit in there. it's a beautiful building full of history. My steak was medium rare but was very hard and crunchy on the outside, I had trouble cutting it and the meat inside wasn't melt in the mouth. The smoked salmon was over powered by a real citrus. My husband had lamb which he said was perfect so he love that! And the cuttlefish was perfect.

£2 deposit for each glass is a bit odd, especially as it forces you to queue twice - once to get your drinks, then again to get your deposit back. Also, make sure your payment at the car park in Bigbury goes through and you receive an emailed receipt. The £60 parking fine made this an expensive day out (not the pub's fault obviously). Unfortunately RCP Parking have taken away any desire I might have had to revisit.
