The best restaurants serving British food in South Gloucestershire South West

Food was great, I really enjoyed the katsu chicken fries, salt and pepper chicken and the halloumi fries, highly recommend and a great price. Lisa was on point with customer service. And will be returning. 10/10 brilliant

Lovely pub, perfect garden for the kids. Spent the afternoon here for an organised Easter egg hunt and they had a great time. Free drinks for them aswell as so much chocolate! A great local too have 😊

Friendly and professional staff. With food that's a chefs-d'œuvre in its own right, piquant starters and surfeit mains, this business is undoubtedly the foremost hidden gem of the area.

What a friendly bunch ! The food is delicious and we always feel very welcome 2 staff members stand out going above and beyond to make the experience excellent James /maya well done to them.

I can’t fault the food or the price at this restaurant. We did enjoy and the setting was beautiful - the hall itself is really impressive. Only feedback : I feel like they’ve missed a trick! When we told a local we were going there it raised an eyebrow - they considered it very highly and on arrival, I understood why. But on seeing the menu, I couldn’t help but be a little disappointed. For such prestigious surroundings and a grand entrance, I was surprised the menu consisted of burger, curry and fish and chips. I was expecting fine dining and locally sourced ingredients to match the high level of service and location. I would happily have paid more than the £14 main course price tag for something a little more special. As I said, the food was good - just a little underwhelming as it had the feeling of being bought in / pre made (example - the pâté). I would recommend the chicken pie but not the brownie - it wasn’t really a brownie and needed ice cream or cream with it.

My partner and I go every 2 weeks - the breakfast is great and the staff are absolutely lovely. We can't fault them at all. They always do their best to please their customers and the overall environment is very hygienic and has a lovely atmosphere. We always see the café's regular customers enjoying their coffees/teas whilst having their chats. Thank you!

Food was ok but definitely overpriced for the amount you get. So many tables jammed in, it was very difficult to manoeuvre a small pushchair around and find space to store it whilst eating

The graceful driveway after entering through the main gate leads you to a wonderful visage over the beautiful Somerset countryside, the Bristol channel, Severn bridges and the wonderful spectre of the high ground of South Wales in the background. The parking facilities, entrance and reception are welcoming, well decorated and maintained. The staff are efficient, polite and very helpful. A great place to play golf, meet up with colleagues and enjoy the wonderful facilities. All just one turn from the Cribbs Causeway turnoff.

The thing that lets this place down is the noisy gym people upstairs, dropping weights! It sounds awful. The food is the best part.

Lovely little cafe. Very reasonable prices. Very friendly service. Ideal stop on journey off M4. Will return. My son loved the food.
