My elderly parents visited the pub yesterday for lunch (Valentines Day), they had reserved a table and were seated in a separate room just past the bar on the left side. Unfortunately the room was freezing cold making it uncomfortable. When raised to the bar staff they agreed it was cold, but made no effort to sit them elsewhere or adjust the heating / offer alternative heating for their stay. Needless to say, they won’t be back and felt this was poor

Wonderful coffee, breakfast and service. The staff were such lovely people too. Highly recommended location and atmosphere for family, friends or business engagements. I'll certainly be back! Thank you

Not been in for a year or two the old skittles ally is very much now a locals bar as the main pub is I believe for evening dining very good pint of bass for only 3.90 per pint clean bar not unfriendly

We visit at least once a week. Great cafe, lovely staff and food is excellent. Dog friendly and seats outside too. Definitely recommend all year round. Good to combine dog walk with lovely cuppa and breakfast

Live football being televised in a great beer garden. Staff were extremely personable, a great selection of beer and the pizza was great. Approx 15 minutes on foot to Bristol Rovers' Memorial Stadium with nearby street parking available. Would return!

I have frequented the bistro a few times now and I can wholeheartedly advise that the culinary delights are well above par of any other establishment. Their take on a traditional curry was mesmerising as was their petit déjeuner du jour. They produce some of the finest omelettes I have ever induced including cheese, ham, mushroom and even onion, whatever you like? It's the small things they offer that amaze me, like offering a choice of tinned or fresh tomatoes. Just mind blowing. Tracey and Claires mission statement is clear, "If you don't see what you fancy, just ask". This lowly frequenter of restaurants such as Kims Cafe can see many fanciful items on and off the menu. I urge you to visit this taverna of taste when you can, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I popped in for some fresh baking on the way to the bus. The place was clean, busy but polite and with quick service. I got two tray bakes slices E.g. Granola for 95p each. Will use again.

Came to the Codrington Arms with the family for a birthday meal and it was amazing! Half of us went for burgers and half went for the pies but all of us finished everything! :) The staff went above and beyond it was a very welcoming experience. Was such nice atmosphere in the pub and they have a really nice beer garden! Oh and the mac and cheese chips absolutely slapped 😙👌 will definitely be back again!

Walked in the pub where the owner/landlady was smoking outside. Not a great first impression. Went in to be told they were only doing roasts. At 1.15 they only had 2 chicken left. We ordered and sat out side with our drinks. The waitress called us in to a very empty restaurant area where are meals were on the table. Lots of roast potatoes and some meat. We asked when veg was coming out to be told the had run out of veg the night before!!!!! We couldn’t believe it! We told them we didn’t want it. The landlady/owner did offer us to take meals free of charge but that wasn’t the point. We have been before but the fantastic chef they had has left! We’ll never go back. Needs a complete revamp and new chef!

Hardworking friendly new owner. Traditional uk cafe fayre at VERY reasonable prices. My son has just moved in around the corner and we have been using the cafe a fair bit while renovating his home. The food and welcome is great. Would definitely recommend. They even do traditional sunday roasts to eat in or take away.

Had Sunday lunch with friends....it was a standard affair but veg not great, a charred carrot, bit of kale and a charred parsnip. Meat quite dry. Lack of dessert options unless you liked cream based ones.

What a wonderful time we all had at the Sip and Paint evening, despite my level of painting experience being mostly confined to painting the walls, when decorating at home, I really enjoyed the evening, lots of encouragement from everyone, great company, great nibbles, great shots, barrels of laughs, well done to all the staff who organised, can't wait for the next one 😀
