We love The Coffee Bean, perfect place for family and friends catch up..honestly the loveliest , well presented food served with a warm welcome by the lovely friendly staff 😀

We love visiting here whenever we’re in Chipping Sodbury. This time we were there for their breakfast menu! The chicken waffles were delicious, the perfect amount between sweet and savoury! Good service and good coffee too!

My daughter and me had a lovely breakfast here.The waitress even got me the chefs black pepper to use which i thought was a very lovely touch.

Ordered a bagel filled with smoked salmon, black pudding (best I've ever tasted), spinach, fried egg and hollandaise sauce. I asked for the fried egg on a separate plate for my husband (I can't eat whole eggs). Everything was cooked to perfection and the hollandaise was served in a separate jug so we were able to share. Our cappuccino and latte were good. The staff were friendly. Definitely go back next time we're in Chipping Sodbury.

A real - and highly positive - surprise. We were just on the main drag thru Chipping Sodbury and it was jolly cold. Needed somewhere to sit down, have a drink and a rest and warm up. The windows were all steamed up so we didn't know what to expect. Was a real surprise when opened the door and found the place heaving. (Admittedly, a Sunday morning would be busy in any good place). We managed to get a table for two inside (they have a courtyard but we wanted the warmth so were fortunate a table came free). Anyway, the menu was amazing and the food coming out from the kitchen looked even better. Seriously well presented. The Good Lady had a granola bowl and it was stunning. So well presented. I wanted a full breakfast but just would not have been able to squeeze it in so went for a veggie sausage and egg sarnie. Very pleasant. Friendly staff. Quick service. Great food - and all seemed very reasonably priced. Could understand why it is clearly the local 'spot'. Would highly recommend.

We had no booking , but they found us a table for four. The food was not delayed and of good quality The staff were helpfull and thoughtfully. Would definitely return

Nice coffee & paninis, teapot enough for 2 cups. Polite staff, table was cleaned when we were seated which I like so I know it is freshly cleaned. Didn’t have a cake on this occasion, however, the cakes are very nice.

Great little cafe at the bottom of the high street. Friendly staff , quick service , great food . Good choice of hot and cold drinks breakfasts, lunches , and cakes . Falafel salad very fresh , colourful, and filling . Didn’t feel pressured to vacate table , despite size of cafe . relaxed atmosphere. Can accommodate extra seating in covered area with heating outside .

The Coffee Bean (Chipping Sodbury), is still the hidden diamond in the high street. A phenominal breakfast, cooked to perfection. The politest and most knowledgeable staff, in this cosy, warm environment. A diamond of a business.

We had breakfast here on a Sunday and it was fantastic. Full vegetarian English, and a vegetarian wrap. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the service was quick. Really lovely decor and tableware. The cakes looked amazing but we were too full to sample them unfortunately!

We discovered this lovely cafe by a chance today and what an experience it was! Happy, welcoming staff, amazing coffee and breakfast to die for. We are from Bristol but will definitely be back soon. Highly recommended!

Absolutely banging breakfast!! If you’re after a proper English breakfast this is where to go! Really nice, sweet and welcoming cafe, highly recommend.

We popped into The Coffee Bean for a snack and were tempted by the imaginative breakfast menu. Lovely pot of proper tea and a full English. Superb ! This lovely little cafe has everything. It’s beautifully neat and clean, the service is very friendly, the menu choice excellent and the prices reasonable. What more can one ask for ? It is obviously very popular with the locals as it started to fill up around lunchtime. This alone speaks for itself. Thank you.

We come every Saturday and are greeted with smiles. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the coffee is ace. Thank you to all the staff , specifically Helen for your wonderful service and good/drinks.

Great service this morning. The ladies were very accommodating and put together a table for us- 6 children aged 5-8 and 3 adults. The service was very quick for a large group, reasonably priced and the food was delicious. Good selection of food and drinks on the children’s menu. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning in the future.

We were visiting family so the three of us called in for lunch. Place was busy and we can see why. The staff were all really friendly and nice, we ordered drinks and hot food which all arrived quickly. The food was superb, clean plates all round! This place is amazing and we will be back!!

On a damp Thursday morning, we were greeted warmly and took a window seat for some breakfast. We ordered coffees, a garlic mushroom and spinach bagel with bacon, and a full English from the excellent breakfast menu. Our freshly prepared and nice and hot food was served by friendly waitresses, who were very keen to ensure we had all we needed and really enjoyed our breakfast - it was delicious! A great little cafe on the vibrant and pretty Chipping Sodbury High Street.

Came for breakfast while visiting the area with family, including two small children. Very welcoming and friendly, and accommodating for families. Lovely menu with some great children’s options. Fantastic breakfast, one of the best I’ve had! Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

A great little place for a great coffee. We very much enjoyed our two americani with cake: a piece of carrot cake and a piece of gf polenta cake. Both delicious. I’m happy to recommend The Coffee Bean as a super independent coffee shop.

Wonderful food, brilliant atmosphere and location, and top quality coffee and cakes. Came through the town by accident, will make it our normal route when visiting the area.

Lovely coffee and brunch choices. I often have the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Lovely coffee served with a chocolate. Friendly staff. Quite a small venue, but there is some space outside. Have eaten here alone and also with the family.

The best coffee in Chipping Sodbury! Excellent food. Freshly prepared and served in generous portions. The kids lunch box is very good value and always goes down well.

Have visited The Coffee Bean on several different occasions recent and have always been met with a cheerful, friendly service. We had lunch here on Sunday, a huge ploughmans with plenty of cheese, bread and other goodies, my jacket potato was lovely served with lots...

My son had a milkshake and burger and I had a vegi brunch and pot of tea. Nice friendly atmosphere and they had oat milk for my tea. Excellent cleanliness and service 😊🙏💖

We arrived at 11.45 on Saturday (today) we were greeted with a big smile and asked if we were having drinks and food; we were shown to a table and given the menu; so much choice on the breakfast menu which is served until midday....

Just stopped for a wee snack on the way to Swansea. Panini was great according to my wife. Milk shake went down a treat. Will be back next time we are passing. Service was sweet too.

Popped in to the Coffee Bean after a visit to the Dentist in Chipping Sodbury. Ordered 2 panninis with Brie and cranberry. Absolutely delicious. The panninis came with hand cooked crisps and a mixed leaf salad with cue and multi coloured toms with a delicious...

it was very hard to celebrate in lockdown so decided to give a gift of a birthday tea for two so that the 'birthday boy' at least had something different and special. Knowing that appetites reduce with age! I was contemplating getting one for the couple to share but on discussion with the coffee bean team I ordered 2 child teas. Absolutely perfect in amount and content. All tied up with a lovely ribbon and birthday label. So thoughtful. It mean't so much to them. Thank you.

I ordered afternoon tea for 2 and made a request for a couple of changes to the set menu which were accommodated without issue. I ordered a week or so in advance and then collected from the shop on the day that I needed it.This feast was beautifully laid out, with real care and attention to detail. Every item of food in the platter was tasty, fresh and just enough!I wouldn’t hesitate to order from Jason again, needless to say my Mrs was over the moon on her birthday. Great stuff! Highly recommended.

Stopped here for a take out lunch on the way back from the cotswolds and it was delicious. Had the Brie and bacon and cranberry paninnis which came with slaw and salad or chips. My boyfriend had chips and they were lovely and nicely seasoned. They came in nice takeaway boxes with cutlery. Staff were friendly and food was so yummy.

The coffee bean is by far, the best coffee shop I’ve had the pleasure to frequent. I stumbled across it my sheer chance but had ran past it 100 times. From my 1st visit, I was so impressed with their coffee, cake, breakfasts, but what makes it is the staff. Always a smile, even when it’s mega busy, they always try and accommodate your needs. I have been pretty much everyday in the past month. I even work from there once a week. They have got it spot on in this place and the quality of food is outstanding. Thank you coffee bean for making this tough time that much better.

Absolutely love this place, I go every two weeks with my mum, it’s so very friendly and clean in these times we are going through. I always book in advance as so popular. Very good food and good prices, love the cosy corner but outside in the small court yard on the summer is beautiful, now for winter it’s covered and with heat lamps and blankets. Nice family run business making the most of its location. Cakes and meals are extremely good portions. Healthy food options. Very friendly staff and atmosphere.

Reservé una mesa pero no necesité tanto espacio esta mañana. El desayuno está bien preparado con buenos ingredientes. Se sentó en el patio soleado y las mesas estaban bien espaciadas. Muy buenos capuchinos y las damas fueron muy amables y hicieron un buen trabajo limpiando las mesas y sillas. Los capuchinos son deliciosos. Volveré y lo recomiendo.

It was absolutely great and the staff were lush and friendly and the food was amazing not a long wait on food very clean cafe. I had a ham and cheese panini only would of prefer cheese more mealted but I was lush really good food and good quality. I will come back. Only the cafe is a bit small like it would be better if there more space between tables but other than that absolutely amazing loved it great atmosphere.

First time I've been here since change of ownership. Coffee was still good but cake choice uninspiring. Had a look at the menu which is very basic compared to the previous one so don't think I'll be back for lunch. None of those lovely salads to go with the quiche and sandwiches and none of those wonderful seasonal weekly specials. Definitely not what it was, and I think the only time I've had such a choice of tables to sit at which makes me think I'm not the only person to be disappointed.

Cosy little café on the highstreet which serves the best breakfast I've ever had, incredibly tasty, well presented and made with high quality produce.

Coffee Bean is a great cafe. We come here most Sundays after doing a walk. Very friendly helpful staff and delicious food.

Five of us went for a walk along Chipping Sodbury High Street. We strolled down the Left hand side, curled around the monument, turned right and finished by the Indian restaurant called The Megna (which I think was called the Sultan in another life) before crossing the road and starting to walk back in the opposite direction.

Popped in on a busy Saturday morning and sat outside.

I know it takes a while to get somewhere up and running but my mum had pooched eggs which were like fried eggs. Bacon was salty and you get smarties with every hot drink . The waitresses are always lovely but the new owner wasn't as friendly as the previous owners. Plus we had to wait quite a while for food. Hopefully they get there in the end but I won't be going back anytime soon. Good luck to them though

This is a small lunch/snack place. Very intimate! You are close to the next table.

Nice little cafe with helpful and friendly staff. The food was good no complaints. The dog enjoyed the visit too. My only suggestion is, can you get the tables levelled please so they don’t rock. I’m coming back 👍🏻

Tuvimos la comida más deliciosa del día: hamburguesa de champiñones con una variedad de ensaladas realmente interesantes en diferentes aderezos diferentes y muy sabrosos. Todo aquí es hecho en casa con ingredientes de alta calidad. Además, un plato muy completo y un precio muy razonable. Gran café también. Muy recomendable. Servicio amigable.

Vegan breakfast with scrambled tofu available. Other options include sausage sandwich and Keralan curry meaning that you can go out with your omni friends and have choices.

We called in for lunch after a garden tour in the rain, a few miles away. My wife had a tuna jacket, served with no fewer than four types of salad, all cleverly herbed or spiced. I had the macaroni cheese, generously cheesed and served with ripe cherry tomatoes and a beautifully and subtly dressed salad. I usually don't eat salads, but this was exceptional and none was left. We both agreed that this was one of the best lunches we've ever had away from home. Service was friendly and the prices very reasonable. We shall call again.

Comimos aquí el Viernes Santo mientras disfrutábamos de un paseo por Chipping Sodbury. ¡Qué hallazgo! Siendo un día gloriosamente soleado, optamos por sentarnos en el patio. Teníamos el queso y la quiche de cebolla roja, que venía con una selección de ensaladas. Las ensaladas eran realmente diferentes, no las habituales "hojas y ensalada de col". Teníamos un sueco asado, una ensalada de calabacín y uno de arroz. ¡Estaban todos deliciosos! También tuvimos bebidas y había agua del grifo gratis. El servicio era rápido y amable y sin duda volveremos.

Si te encantan los champiñones, asegúrate de probar los champiñones con ajo sobre el pan de centeno, ¡absolutamente exuberante! Es una muy linda, diría "retro" pero más antigua tienda de té de estilo, con tazas y platillos encantadores para tu taza. Toda la comida hecha por los propietarios, los pasteles puede que no sea una gran selección, pero los bollos se ven muy bien, los flapjacks son realmente grandes y los pasteles son realmente caseros, se perdió el pastel de coco y Malibu, pero espero que tengan la oportunidad de intentarlo nuevamente. Dulce pequeño patio para disfrutar tomando su café y pastel también. Me di cuenta de que también hacen tortas para los clientes, que vale la pena intentarlo.

What a gem of a cafe; we popped in for lunch on Saturday; the sun was shining; so we sat in the courtyard. There is a lot on the menu to choose from; prices really good; the specials of the day which are on the blackboard behind the counter are also attached on white paper which Are attached to the menus; I liked this as my partner is partially sighted but with the help of his reading lens he was able to take his time to choose what he wanted. We both had the Stilton ploughman’s; the Stilton tasted so creamy and was full of good flavour. There was coleslaw in a dish; plus there was 3 different homemade salads; all of these were tasty; plus there with tomato; cucumber and salad leaves. The bread was lovely; plus the butter was in a little bowl. We really enjoyed the food so much we returned to the cafe yesterday. The service is excellent; there’s such a lot of choice too. Yesterday I had the Red Leicester cheese and spring onion quiche; it was so tasty; again the salads were also tasty. We will be returning to this gem of a cafe soon.

I’ve visited chipping Sodbury many times, but not ventured in here before. What a revelation, we ordered the ploughman’s and coffees. Service was quick and the Ploughman’s was without doubt the best we’ve had. We will make this the cafe of choice from now onwards.

Myself and my partner regularly visit this place, and have never had a bad experience. The coffee is simply the best in town, the staff are pleasant and helpful, and all the food is superb - the sandwiches are excellent value for money, including some very tasty salads on the plate. The full english breakfast is to die for. This is by far the best place on the High Street and we would highly recommend it.

Visited Chipping Sodbury and found this little cafe warm and welcoming. Good choice of food and some nice Specials. The skinny lattes were delicious lovely coffee with no butter after taste that you sometimes get. Thanks

Came here for the second time on Saturday, it was just as lovely as the first time, The Coffee Bean has a great variety on the menu, staff are very friendly and efficient. Would really recommend.

Ha sido ella dos veces ahora. El café es genial. Tostadas y tortas de té muy sabroso. El Brie, tocino y sándwich de arándanos era genial. La sopa con trozo de pan era excelente.

Qué pena ser tratado tan groseramente. La comida era fabulosa, sin embargo, la grosería del propietario era inaceptable. Originalmente nos dijeron que podíamos tener nuestra mesa hasta las 11 am, la comida llegó a las 10. 50 am Llegaron las 11 de la mañana (no habíamos terminado), sin embargo, la camarera se acercó y dijo que ya no teníamos que desocupar ya que la mesa se había liberado. 10 minutos más tarde (cuando mi amiga aún estaba bebiendo su té), el dueño llegó y frente a 2 clientes recogió nuestros platos y dijo que quería nuestra mesa. Los otros 2 clientes de los que estoy seguro también se sentían avergonzados, dijeron que estaban felices de sentarse afuera (todo fue muy embarazoso e incómodo). Después de pagar la factura, se lo expliqué al propietario, que realmente no le importaba nada, su respuesta fue "bueno, originalmente estaba destinado a desaparecer a las 11 am". Dejamos el té y pagamos. Una pena, ya que estaba deseando volver atrás y probar su menú, pero no todo es bueno, el servicio agradable es también una prioridad para mí.

¡Vine con mi papá a almorzar y me encantó el lugar! Es un tranquilo oasis en la calle principal con muy buen café. El menú es variado y perfecto para el almuerzo, hay muchas opciones diferentes y todo está delicioso. Mi lugar favorito en Sodbury!

Visited The Coffee Bean a few days ago with family for a late morning brunch. Staff were smiley and welcoming and the coffee was outstanding! Brilliant cake choices and lots of tasty vegan options. Highly recommended!

As a cycling group, we always phone to let a cafe know we're coming. This day I hadn't as expected to be only 4 however, another 4 joined us. The Coffee Bean couldn't have been more welcoming even allowing us to take our bikes through to the garden. The food options were excellent for all diets including GF, Vegan and Vegetarian. Good cakes as well and superb coffee as befits a cafe called The Coffee Bean! Great value too.

A great find from a friend recommendation, friendly staff and lovely freshly prepared food, we only had a sandwich which were very good but the hot food coming out looked fab and having more time would definitely be back to sample.

Nice menu here, and good to have breakfast options late into the day (3.00pm). We also liked the fish cakes and the flexibility shown by the kitchen - eg adding tomatoes to the eggs and salmon. (Disappointed there was no Hollandaise sauce available).

When we arrived we were told oven is broken and unable to serve hot food other than jacket and quiche cooked in the oven. My husband opted for the ploughman’s, 5 lots of pickles- pickled beetroot, courgette, Branson pickle, cabbage, onions and cheap coleslaw. 1/2 slice of ham and small wedge of cheese served with thick crust of bread (end of the loaf of bread) cost over £8 my husband felt robbed. My husband explained to the young woman serving today he did not realise the amount of pickles and lack of cheese and ham, her reply was maybe ask for no pickles next time!! , customer serve for a small village.

We were staying in Old Sodbury and decided to pop in here for a coffee and a sit down. Plenty of seating area and clean and welcoming cafe.

I brought my 2 kids to Chipping Sodbury for the Gromit hunt. We were wandering up and down the town looking for a pub for some lunch but found this lovely little place instead. We sat in their garden out the back and had a look at the menu. There was loads of choice and I was very please to see they do kids lunch boxes with sandwiches, crisps, yoghurt, raisins, a brownie and a drink. I had a cheddar ploughman’s and was very impressed with what came. Different types of salads, delicious bread and a massive chunk of cheese. I was so impressed I turned into one of those people who take photos of their food!! It was a nice touch that the chef brought the food to us. If we are every in the area again, we will be back.

Friendly and efficient staff allowed us to take chairs into the shade at the front, brought our drinks whilst we perused the menu and helpfully tried to maximise the space available at out table.

I'd heard this place did a good vegan breakfast and I wasn't disappointed, I've eaten all over the country and this was definitely the best over here ... It would stand up well against any diner in the Pacific Northwest

One of our favourite places for breakfast. The place is tiny, but that adds to its charm! Food is always nice with a selection of cakes on offer in addition to its lovely menu.

Friendly service, a good selection of cake even though it was late in the day on a Friday. I choose the lemon cake and I was not disappointed, it was moist and had a good consistency with just the right amount of filling. The building is old which is part of the charm but the seating area felt a bit cramped. It was not full so was fine, but I imagine it would feel very squashed in if there were more customers. The toilet facilities weren't great due to their size and location but were serviceable.

Thank you for a wonderful breakfast! I was tempted by the tomatoes with avocado... and the garlic mushrooms! Went for full English and delighted I got on the vine tomatoes with it AND the mushrooms were divine! I don’t normally eat toast but your butter was so rich and luxurious I had all four bits. Very decadent having a lovely glass (or two) with it too! Loved the individual tea pots with infusers too! Quality x

Visited here for lunch with a cousin. The cafe is quite small and slightly crowded with small tables, but the food is really lovely and service is prompt and staff really friendly.

Great atmosphere. Great friendly service. Dog friendly. Also they don't unnecessarily stick flour in everything and have gluten free bread and homemade gf cakes. Fantastic for coeliacs.

We visited today for a Sunday breakfast after doing some research online. We were certainly not disappointed. We weren’t greeted on arrival so showed ourselves to a table but other than that the staff were very friendly. The food we ordered, a full English breakfast and avocado on toast was expertly cooked and tasted delicious. We would definitely recommend especially as breakfast is served between 10 and into the afternoon! We will be returning!
