Great place. Lots of ciders. Local ones if you fancy trying some new and some commercial ones too. Food is simple and hot. If you like eating in Michelin star restaurants then forget it! If you are a normal person looking for sensible priced beer and grub then you will love it!

What a find for Sunday lunch and any other meal out I would imagine. Everything from the welcome on arrival, the service and most importantly the quality of food was outstanding. Starters included prawn cocktail, parfait and waldorf salad all excellent. Chicken and beef for main course could not fault, beef perfectly cooked, chicken moist and flavoursome, perfectly cooked roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese to die for and a lovely selection of fresh vegetables. This was our first visit and certainly won’t be our last. Would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you.

A really lovely vibe in this cafe, beautiful display of food and lots of choice. Friendly staff to boot and the West Country Cider Chutney is delicious - so lovely I had to buy a pot to take home. Not the cheapest but you can tell they use quality ingredients and so well worth it!

A friendly, welcoming place that is VERY dog friendly. I love the quirkiness of the tea room. We sat upstairs, which we thought was very charming, with a view out to the main road. The service was excellent and the food was exceptional. They cater well for vegan, veggies and Gluten free. We joined their loyalty scheme and will definitely be returning. It seems very popular, so I would recommend booking to avoid disappointment.

I visited this restaurant on Sunday evening and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the service was inattentive and disorganised. We were left waiting far too long to be seated, and once we were, it took even longer for someone to take our order. The food itself was extremely underwhelming — bland, poorly presented, and certainly not worth the price. What made the experience even worse was the cleanliness of the place. The tables were sticky and clearly hadn’t been wiped down properly. It gave the whole restaurant a grubby, neglected feel that made us question the hygiene standards behind the scenes. The most alarming part of the evening, however, was the staff's complete disregard for food allergies. When we asked about allergen information, the manager seemed clueless and unconcerned. This is not just unprofessional — it’s dangerous. For a restaurant to operate without taking allergies seriously is a serious health risk, and it’s something that absolutely must be addressed. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The environment was unpleasant, the staff poorly trained, and the overall experience left a lot to be desired. I strongly believe this venue should be inspected by environmental health authorities. Dining out should never feel unsafe or unsanitary, but sadly, that’s exactly how it felt here.

My family and i visited the Harvest Moon today for mothers day and i can honestly say i was absolutely blown away. The staff were so friendly and attentive and the food absolutely delicious. My family and i chose the carvery and we had the choice of 4 meats and a wide range of tasty veggies. I just cant rate this place enough it was an outstanding experience and we will be returning

Had a Saturday breakfast meet with friends nice club very smart food was good reasonable price sit outside and watch the golf players.

Great food and atmosphere.Staff are really friendly and accommodating. Superb gluten free selection really well cooked for those with a coeliac condition. A real gem that we would highly recommend to family and friends.

we keep an eye on the specials board-and my wife always goes for the 'blue carbon' salt marsh beef-it is probably the best steak she has eaten. Beautifully cooked and she asks for plenty of fat - often restaurants seem to pre trim their steaks -not here- it arrives with an excellent amount still attached. I go for the mussels when they have them -they are beautiful -if they are not available -scampi and chips are always great. The prices are very reasonable indeed. The hot desserts finish the meal with the same quality.

A fantastic steak house probably the best in Somerset beating miller and Carter solely because of price but food wise spot on. Also try there home made deserts fantastic and the chief/owner makes top notch biltong too.

Absolutely first class fish and chips! We chose this one because this was our nearest from where we were staying and the reviews were good. We ordered online, 2 Haddock, one bag of chips. It said they had our order and would be ready in 20 mins, and it was! Paid by cash when we got there (no facility to pay online), and no waiting in the queue. Huge fish boxed and plenty of chips in a bag separately so they weren't soggy. Would go there again if in the area.
