Lovely place. Staff accomodating. Lovely food and good price.

Service and atmosphere is great. Food is mediocre.

Frozen (partly defrosted) scones, supermarket bread and weak tea - a real tourist trap. Order was sent out wrong to us initially. Would have been nice to have some fresh local produce instead.

Absolutely 100% the best bacon sandwiches we have ever had. Bread was light and fluffy and they didn't hold back on the bacon. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere relaxed. Happy to recommend this place to others.

Lovely place go eat, excellent waitress service, really good quality food is served here. They offer a full lunchtime menu, home cooked meals, light meals, afternoon teas and snacks etc. You can eat inside or outside all in all a pleasant experience.

Only passing through briefly this time, but the cooked breakfast and good service together with the ambience means that we will return.

Coffee was awful, I asked for an americano with milk and I got cup of lukewarm milky “coffee”, I brought it back and got a replacement (staff were great). Just not good coffee. Life was too short to drink the replacement either. Hopefully mine was an isolated case, otherwise great.

We had breakfast here on a visit and the food was delicious, excellently cooked and plenty of it, service was super friendly and lovely. Would definitely recommend going here.

Admitted two people and dog at the point of closing. Very welcoming and friendly. Food excellent and unhurried. Edelweiss is a serendipity .

We visited the Edelweiss cafe for a quick cream tea and a scone. And there were both perfect. The scone was all buttery and served with a cream and a delicious strawberry jam. The prices were more than reasonable, the place was very clean and the lady that served us was very polite. We totally recommend it if you visit Cheddar.

Coffee was rough, requested Oat flat white, came as americano & question if with oat milk 🤔. Toasted sandwich was poor and cost was very high!

We love this little place, the cream teas are amazing. They have lovely cakes and pastries. The staff are lovely and most importantly the toilet is clean! It's a small place with out door seating and very dog friendly inside and and out. Not much room inside for wheelchairs but the staff are happy to move things around to accommodate you if possible.

Lovely little cafe in Cheddar Gorge. Good food, well cooked and friendly staff, it is dog friendly as well allowing pups inside as well as outside.

What a lovely place. The staff were so friendly and the food was deeeelish. It was purely by fluke we went here as we wanted to be sure to get a parking space (2nd time lucky) to visit the amazing Cheddar Gorge and Village, so popped in for a spot of brekkie. I'm so glad we did. What a gem. 10/10.

Lovely location, and I enjoyed sitting out in the sub. The food, however, was not well cooked, and the coffee was poor. Very friendly staff, but I don't recommend the veggie breakfast

Just below the Gorge this is a lovely spot for lunch. The £12.50 main courses are excellent down to earth food.

Nice place, tea was good and the scones on other tables looked very good. Full English was disappointing. Egg over cooked and hard, sausage cheap and over cooked, bacon undercooked and flabby and fried potatoes instead of hash browns seemed weird.

We ordered steak and guiness pie with homemade chips & peas, fruitcrumble and ice cream with lattes. Sounds scrumptious! Unfortunately the reality was beyond disappointing!! The steak and guiness pie was in reality a slither of said pie with frozen French fries and peas all heated up in a microwave,hence the chips were dark brown and all stuck together. The pastry onthe pie was soggy where the filling was and the pie crust was rock hard and was almost impossible to cut even with a steak knife. The crumble was also microwaved and therefore very stoggy, nothing like crumble should be. I can honestly say the best thing about the whole meal was the glass of tap water I ordered. I suggest Trading Standards investigate Edelweiss Cafe definition of homemade - most definitely misleading! The politely thing I can say about the staff is some of them should have thought twice before becoming waitresses. Definitely not worth over £40 for two people - never again!!

Great service, pleasant staff, great food, and clean. We sat inside. If you are sitting outside you order from a window at the side! I'm gluten and milk intolerant, and had a few options. I chose red bush tea and vegan breakfast, very enjoyable. Hubby had steak and ale pie with veg and roast potatoes, which he said he really enjoyed. It was a little bit snug for room where we sat, but it was at a busy time of day. I would recommend it.

I had an all day breakfast, not sure if that's what it called on the menu, but everything on the plate was cooked perfectly. Very fast service too.

Lovely little cafe, it's been here for years without much changing. Proper pot of tea with a China cup and saucer. Lovely full English breakfast and no cheating on the tuna sandwich and chips either. Prompt and friendly staff, well worth a visit.

We had two teas & two bacon sandwiches. All delicious & well delivered from the takeaway window. Four stars rather than five as we would far rather have taken a seat inside, but there's no space for us within.

We had a lovely coffee and tasty full english breakfast, welcoming and friendly service, just what was needed after being on the road for 4 hours, and dog friendly.

Used to be a lot better, food all bought in now ,pretty much the same as anywhere else, but the location is great, even if there are traffic wardens everywhere, but book first ,as always full ,tourists 😀

Lovely and cozy small place in a very convenient location. Few steps away from car parks. Roast beef was amazingly good. The gravy was extra delicious and vege were cooked just right. Cravings satisfied! Food price is very much pocket-friendly. Staff members were nice and polite, too.

Bacon darine £6 or full English for 9.50, guess what I went for.... Coffee was good, good flavour and not silly strong. Carrot cake to take away was best wife had for dinner time. Fry up was good, only criticism is the fried bread was a bit crunchy so snapped rather than cut which means it held the oil a bit too much. All ingredients were tasty, well cooked and hot. Would visit again, many thanks. Oh, and did friendly, which is always good.

The food was great, no issues with the staff or seating. So why 4 star? They're just really slow to take your order through a window on the side of the building. It's not great to stand there for 15 minutes waiting to be served when nobody is infront of you.

Lovely cafe and enjoyed a quick brunch however we felt staff weren't overly friendly and afterwards realised we were overcharged which is a shame as I'm a carer and my partner has a ABI after a stroke, he felt a bit upset and was unable to go back and query as cafe closed early. However nice spot next to river, and unable to park longer than an hour there.
