Brilliant service and lovely setting. Food was really good and our sever Jennie was really nice and accommodating to us and my daughter. We will absolutely return again when we are in the area.

Had afternoon tea for 4. Was lovely so much food we took some home. Staff was really nice friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble for them. Will be back. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area to try.

Had a Sunday Roast and dessert. Good portion sizes, plenty for the children's meals. Excellent desserts. Nice service and atmosphere in the room. My son enjoyed watching the golfers while we ate. We will be back!

Very friendly staff not just because it was a dear friends funeral, you can simply just tell from the love and words they gave out in conversation. Excellent views of the Mendip hills from the upper balcony. I was well impressed. Thank you all for a good experience.

Beautiful sunny day, so course played and looked superb, great deal for texas scramble, with voucher for discounted food, had the Sunday roast beef and veg just right, a few more spuds would have made it perfect, a small niggle, but, worth mentioning.

Update to review: we received a quick response to our complaint and a sincere apology. Poor experience, with no hospitality. We went to book a table this morning, but were told to just come along, before a big party arriving at 3pm. We arrived at 1:45pm, and told that there was no space (despite the restaurant being less than half full). There were only 3 of us, planning our day around a nice meal here, and they did nothing to even try to accommodate us. Very poor.

Lovely Sunday roast and beautiful surroundings worth a visit very reasonable price wise too.

Popped in for a quick bite of lunch. It took over an hour for the main course to arrive. On enquiring, the chef hadn't seen our order which was for a starter, which we received in a timely manner, and a main course which I needed to chase up. Were they busy? No. The were four tables eating when we got there, and one other when we left. They were also wormy for their main course. The waitress was nice and friendly. There appeared to be a lack of overall management or supervision of service quality. Won't be returning.

Disappointing Sunday lunch on this visit

Sunday Lunch, booked for 4.30pm for a table of 9 adults and pre-ordered our food. Plus points .... best tasting Yorkshire pudding ever tasted, veg was tasty and the Cauliflower cheese was lovely but a small portion for 3.50. also drink selection great and served fairly well. Negative points... gravy very thin, almost watery consistency, veg acccompaniment was only peas and carrot batons in a bowl. Only option for potatoes was roasted and they were very hard. Meat although tasty was hard/burned around the edges. Some of the staff seemed to be very unaware of what food they were serving to which table. We told the server that we were not happy with the quality of the meal as politely as we could and to be fair she took our comments back to the kitchen. We were offered a free desert but as none of the party wanted a desert we declined. overall we were disappointed as the bill without drinks came to £236 for 9 people. heard great reviews by word of mouth but our first visit was not good.

Lovely restaurant in a comfortable setting with lovely views of not just the golf course but the surrounding hills. We saw quite a variety of wildlife as well. The food was really nice although there was a limited menu. Food and drinks good value. It was not very busy, but the service was very slow. We had trouble getting attention to order drinks.

Beautiful surroundings, lovely staff who couldn't do enough for us and to cap it all the food was amazing. I couldn't fault one thing and as it was Mother's Day we were all really happy to have had such a wonderful meal. Highly recommend.

Mothers Day lunch was absolutely beautiful. Family of 5 and the children commented how much they enjoyed the food from the kids menu and the adults were all very impressed with the starters and Sunday roast. Staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough for you and the atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommend.

Beautiful place great staff but the foods not as good as it was l.can definitely tell not the same same chef..shame we loved coming here..but the foods lost the wow factor.

We visited for my Nans 70th birthday. Firstly I’d like to express how amazing the staff were, the whole way through the evening. They were so accommodating and friendly, they really made the experience special. Secondly the food was perfection, hats off to the chefs. Thirdly what a gorgeous location. I would definitely revisit and recommend to others.

What an amazing, clean, friendly and welcoming place! Had lunch today in the View Kitchen whereas normally we have the incredible Sunday lunch. The food is the best I have ever tasted ANYWHERE. The way it is prepared and presented is worthy of a Michelin star! The views of the golf course and surrounding countryside whilst eating are beautiful. We were served by Erin again today, who is so knowledgable, professional and efficient at looking after her guests. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It is worth noting that it is also a superb venue for any function like a wedding as it has everything you need!

Spent NYE here with friends had a great night ..staff very polite and professional..food was excellent.. entertainment really good ...very well organized..from arrival time until home time fireworks at midnight to top it all off 5 stars from me

We have just had a lovely afternoon at The View restaurant in the country club. We booked in for afternoon tea. The sandwiches were fresh and very tasty. So many lovely desserts to choose from we didn’t know where to start! My daughter loved the chocolate brownie. Sally our server was incredibly friendly and welcoming. To top it off the View! Wow stunning scenery. Thank you everyone for an amazing experience.

Arrived and were pleased to see the table decorated thats about as good as it gets. Disappointed with the festive afternoon tea. The afternoon tea arrived with an embarrassing 1 triangle cheese sandwich. We complained and was told that the marketing team had advertised the afternoon tea and also last year's menu was on the website which hasn't been changed. Complete false advertising. The afternoon tea is NOTHING like the picture. Some more sandwiches were given to us.. as a party of 3 we received 4 more triangle sandwiches. They were put in front of my husband we couldnt quiet believe that was THE extra sandwiches. Although we ate our afternoon tea, the sandwiches and cakes were stale. We will not be returning. Poor excuse of an afternoon tea complete waste of money and ruined our day.

What a beautiful location next to unity caravan park. I had booked to celebrate my anniversary, and afternoon tea was ordered. The location and parking is excellent, the facilities on site are spotless and all exceptionally very clean. The waiting area near the toilets has plenty of sofas to chill and relax from the main dining area. Staff on approach are extremely polite and friendly and definitely felt welcomed. Now being a Friday it was very quiet in the restaurant so it set the mood for a relax and talk with our shouting at each other, but I can confirm in the summer holiday this place is beyond busy with holiday makers. Tea for two presented beautiful and it does not look much but ended up bringing cakes home, I personally would have liked more sandwiches than pastry but it's preferable to my choice. All cakes were fresh and if you have a sweet tooth then this is for you to try. We chose one vegetarian plate and the other was with chicken and a sausage. All the cakes were very nice and small but enough to enjoy, We thought the coffee was again extremely refreshing and soft not harsh and strong so it complimented the cakes. The cost was £27 for afternoon tea for two and after paying £40 at Weston super mare pier I can confirm Brean Country Club was value for money. We looked at the menus and it seemed very much level with other higher end restaurants in Somerset. The views are extremely pleasant and show Somerset's beautiful countryside so if you fancy a walk you can have a stroll. Access to the club for disabled people is very good no complaints. We did not have a main meal from the menu and would love to return to try this out in the near future, the country club is quiet now in the week as it is out of season but I'm told weekends and particularly Sunday are busy. Highly recommend this country club just choose your time wisely, there is one complaint from us other than I personally would have liked more sandwiches and maybe a few crisp to compliment but every one has their own idea of what afternoon tea means. Thanks again to the staff excellent 👌 service.

Terrible service was made to feel like a second class citizen. Ordered a cream tea for 1 and a cappuccino for my partner, they bought out 2 cream teas, I queried it and was told that is what id ordered and I would have to pay extra for the cappuccino anyway, i disagreed and the chef said that is what id ordered, the manager then came to the table to ask about the mix up, I told him I had made my request clear when booking and told the waiter also….he replied by saying all booking conversations are recorded and he would check the tape…..he then returned and apologised and promptly took the extra cream tea away and said he would negotiate a price…..what’s to negotiate I ordered a cream tea and a cappuccino that’s what I ate and that’s what i will pay for. Very bad customer service here will never return. Made me laugh because the table adjacent they gave them free desserts courtesy of the chef as they were good customers obviously our face didn’t fit.

Ok. Nice view, staff great. Sunday dinner was OK, sorry, but nothing special. Stuffing needed longer in the oven. Price was reasonable. Eat your food and watch people play golf. Nice views.

Really good meal, great service and good value. Liked it so much we went back for breakfast and it did not disappoint it was generous and very tasty. Worth checking opening times, as they do not open on some days out of season and close at 9.00pm some nights. This was not a problem for us as we were staying on the site but if you are coming for golf or another occasion it is advised.

I'm not one for leaving reviews but when somebody/someplace deserves praise then I will. Been to the country club on numerous occasions each time the staff and meals are brilliant. Went tonight for steak night and the meal was cooked to perfection and plenty... Price was good. Staff are a attentive, polite we were served by sally tonight If you're in Brean you really must try

Visited the restaurant for the first time, have been coming to Brean for years and never knew this existed! We had an evening meal and it was fantastic! The steaks were gorgeous and the quality and size of the meals was great value for money. The waitresses were very professional and helpful and couldn't do enough for you! Will definitely be going back and recommending to others. A hidden Gem in Brean.

Myself and my friend was looking forward to visiting but the time we were there felt very rushed. We ordered our Sunday lunch and within 5 minutes it was on the table, you can tell it had been sat on the side as the gravy had congealed, it didn’t have much taste to it either, vegetables were bland and hard. We asked about a wine on the menu for the waitress to say I haven’t got a clue so we ordered something else. Within a few minutes of us finishing eating we were given the bill, my friend still had a full glass of wine at this point. Very disappointed with the experience.

The food was totally rubbish my salmon cake was cooked to a crisp my mash potatoes were so hard I could pick it up like a brick ,, my wifes vegetables were just green beans and carrots only and the carrots were like door stops on leaving my advise to the staff was to sack the sheff he is doing you no favors at all, I love eating at the at the golf club I would say the food wast rubbish,but the staff are fantastic please please sort you sheff 😞

4 of us (two couples) had Sunday lunch here today (3rd September). The staff were extremely efficient and friendly. Three of us had the beef and it was a quality joint cooked to perfection. We like our red wine 🍷 a little cooler than room temperature and they brought us over an ice bucket which was appreciated. Our waitress was called ‘Sally’ or it might have been ‘Sully’ (didn’t have my glasses on when I read her name badge). She was so professional and friendly that she deserves a special mention (although all the staff were great). We will definitely be back.

Lovely setting. Our table was by the window overlooking the golf course. We had the steak and wine menu. Steak beautifully cooked and presented. Charlotte, our chef de rang,quietly attentive. Will definitely be visiting again.

Whilst staying in one of the fabulous lodges overlooking the golf course and Country club, we decided to take advantage of their burger night offer. Two burgers and two drinks for £20. My husband and son enjoyed the burgers while I enjoyed the prawn, chorizo...

We stayed in a luxury lodge on the Brean Golf and Country Club. The area was lovely and we had a totally relaxing holiday. Our view was overlooking the small lake and we watched the ducks in the water. We didn't eat at the Country Club but the menu looked nice. We would stay here again.

Visited with 5 friends for a Cream Tea to celebrate a significant birthday. Scones were delightful and staff were attentive. Visiting again soon for Sunday lunch.

Burger and beer for £10 per person (£20 for two offer.) The venue was nearly empty but for us and one other table. For the cost, the meal was most acceptable. The young waiting staff couldn't do enough for us but by nearly 9pm they started removing the lights from the table so we felt a little rushed out, maybe they shut at 9pm and we should have checked? The car park was very poorly lit and felt unsafe - note to self bring torch next time we visit, in the dark. And we will visit again.

The staff did an impeccable job and were particularly caring and attentive to our two little girls, wonderful service. The food was excellent and the portions were very generous.
