Brilliant Sunday lunch. The kitchen definitely know what they’re doing. Wine list is good. The pub is spotless and you can tell it is well run. Would thoroughly recommend. The team deserve every success. We will be back!

My wife was after a Sunday dinner and fell very lucky securing the last Turkey dinner (it was massive) nice and hot and a good quality plate full. I missed out and went for the BBQ ribs and another plate full of meat arrived at the table along with chips and coleslaw. I gave it my best shot and sadly I was beaten by another full plate of delicious food. Hands covered in a thick sticky sauce which hand wipes were unable to defeat I had to wash my hands in the gents before surrendering to the Ribs. Lovely Pub/Inn with a nice atmosphere and customer focused staff. If you are passing by and feeling peckish drop in and refuel 👍

We stopped here for lunch before doing the Heddon’s Mouth walk. We found a table, grabbed a menu and then went to the bar to place our order. We were told that orders were not currently being taken as the chef was very busy with a table of 10. Not sure why they couldn’t just take the order and say it would be xx minutes. So - we fully returned to the bar 10 minutes later and placed our order. We both ordered sandwiches. We had hardly sat back down when our orders arrived. How very dusappointing. Supermarket sliced bread and pre mixed sandwich fillers. £9 each. Hardly made by a chef. Very disappointing.

I was in the area with 6 friends staying for a long weekend and we wanted to find somewhere that did roast dinners. We all had a carvery and it was beautiful everything was fresh and tasted incredible. The staff were so friendly would definitely recommend and we would definitely come back when in the area. Thank you : )

We enjoyed the 2.5 mile walk to this cafe from Woolacoombe. The facilities at Putsborough were terrific and if every beach resort were like this, well people would never want to go abroad 😀 There is a large car park with some changing rooms at one end and some very clean toilets at the far end. Access to the cafe is down some steps at one side or via a slope at the other. The cafe is also a shop and like an Aladdin’s cave. Kids would love browsing in here. There is a large menu which includes breakfast baps, various sandwiches, burgers and other stuff but we enjoyed the nachos with chilli and accompanied by salsa, guacamole and soured cream. A big plateful for £12. The coffee was fine but nothing to write home about. Big shout out to the old boy who was serving. I suspected he might be a volunteer but he was friendly, efficient and polite.

If you follow the postcode for this establishment you'll end up in a field miles away! If you go to co-ordinates; N52.06.329, W 03.49.370 you will get a good pint and you'll meet probably one of the best landlords in the country. Enjoy

We have been coming to woolacombe for over 33 years now and have always payed a visit to the red barn and then go to the beach . We decided we would go for our dinner there today as i went in with my husband.I spoke to the gentleman behind the bar and he said it has now changed hands .so I thought great .this should be nice food. I placed my order for 2 meals and 2 drinks .to find the bill was so high so I questioned it at the bar and they they gave me my receipt as I said it seemed a bit high for what I ordered the young lad said the glass of wine was £10.95 which i said was too high priced .i accept the price of the meals if they was worth paying for but they was not worth what i paid .I was really shocked at the price .we had our meals come to the table to find they didn't look very appetising but they were just about edible .looking around the rest of the place there were dirty tables the floor was dirty .I spoke to a member of staff and explained how I felt .and said we would not be visiting the red barn again then left Overall very disappointing
