Food could have been better, lacked taste however it could have been due to what we ordered. Staff were kind and attentive and the atmosphere was really cute and suitable for celebrations and date night. Decent spot to go for food in exeter and good location.

Great service from an extremely friendly bar man who was wearing a shirt and tie which is a rare sight these days.

Coolings was a bit ass. Came here for a 25th. In the all in deal you get 5 drinks right? We came in at 6. By 8:30 we hadn’t even been given drink number 4 yet tables around us were getting drinks left right and centre. Definitely the worst “bottomless” in Exeter

We visited this weekend for a last minute roast dinner. We sat outside in the courtyard which was lovely and ordered two pork roast dinners. Once they arrived we were extremely disappointed as. Hardly any vegetables, not very hot almost cold and hardly any meat. There was also no check backs. I understand Roasts are expensive nowadays but for how much they were charging this was awful. I have tried to find a contact email address to write but can’t find one.

We decided to stop her for a spontaneous mother's day meal yesterday evening. Despite being in a services on a main road it is delightful. Some nice outdoor seating and really cute 1970s style diner done really well (it's owned by the Lounge chain). As a family of gluten free diners eating out can be a challenge but there was an amazing separate menu. Really delicious burgers, and ham, egg and chips. Will definitely be returning. Attentive and friendly staff with a special shout out to our server who had my youngest son in stitches. Will definitely be returning. Great if you're local or just visiting the south West.

My husband and I with our daughter and granddaughter had a delicious lunch today, with friendly service. The brunch I had was the best I've tasted. My husband enjoyed his brunch and it comes with extra toast and marmalade. My daughter said it was the best salad she's ever tasted. We had chocolate cake and the coffee was so good. Definitely will be back.

The order was taken down incorrectly. The soup had run out at 1:30. We had to ask for one of our drinks that hadn’t arrived with the other one. Our dog was certainly not welcome by one member of staff who sat as close to us as possible (for her own lunch) and then complained that our dog was sniffing the floor by her. I should add we were told where to sit on arrival. Not a relaxing time.

This is one of my favourite places for a drink or food. Atmosphere is superb, setting superb, staff excellent and special mention to Chelsea and Eva who are a credit to the place. Can not speak highly enough. John Newman

Our Server Jade was amazing. So friendly, smiley and had great energy about her. She always made sure our food was good and always checked in to see if we needed anything else or if we needed our drinks refilled. She made our experience 10x better than it usually is and we appreciate her hard work! Thank you Jade!!!

Almost £18 for an Amstel, a gin and lemonade and five chips - there's far better and cheaper places in topsham. The other reviews will also tell you how overpriced it is

Review for Ruby and Lydia Ruby and Lydia provided absolutely amazing service — friendly, efficient, and totally on top of everything. Even though they were clearly short-staffed, they handled it like pros and really went above and beyond. The place could’ve used a couple more hands, but these two absolutely smashed it. Big credit to both of them! Sad that they are leaving

We visited for a Mother’s Day meal after booking in advance. On arrival we were met me a pleasant member of staff who welcomed us and showed us to our table. Within 30 seconds a waitress came and asked us what drinks we wanted. We didn’t want alcohol so the choice was limited. Asked what alternatives they had, waitress didn’t really know but offered J2O or coke. There was also a note on the table telling us how long we had. I understand it was Mother’s Day and busy but felt this was not necessary. I’ve never been to a pub or restaurant and had this. We ordered drinks and 3 carveries and 1 kids pasta. Firstly the carvery was very good. The roast meats were cooked to perfection and the crackling was lovely. The portions were also very generous. The availability of the rest was great with a good choice of vegetables etc. My daughter’s pasta on the other hand was pretty awful. The bowl was scorching hot and the pasta was slushy mix of what was a tomato sauce and packet pasta. It wasn’t cheap either. We didn’t say anything at the time as my daughter didn’t want a fuss. I get that it was a busy day and carvery is your thing but alternatives have to be good. All in all the carvery was very good , the service was pleasant but a little rushed.
