Food was great and service from the young maid called ruby was our waitress for the evening. Great smile and efficient 5 star all round ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food is ok but not brilliant, I ordered the Garlic King prawns @£4:99 and Two prawns arrived in a bowl and looked lost and unappetising still with shell and tail, need improvement

I want to say how impressed I was with Gaynor and Josh. Gaynor was our server and we were surprised it was her first shift. She came across very friendly, helpful and professional . I noticed Josh was heading out after his shift with his coat and bag on. Then again when he was serving. Two people had phoned in sick and I was told by someone else he had been working since breakfast. What a credit his is as a member of staff! A young lad on a Saturday night staying on to help his team out.

Food was served and presented well and hot phoebe our waitress was very friendly nothing was too much trouble we go here most Sunday always very good

Table was booked 8 days in advance and when we arrived at 5pm we were abruptly told we’d have to vacate the table by 6.15 which was not stated when the booking was made otherwise we would not have made the booking! Our table was the only table with the written note requesting table to be vacated. This spoilt our evening and felt completely rushed! Not good enough!!

Arrived early no problems at all 6 Adults and 3 children all meals correct and well cooked our waiter Josh very attentive thank you 😀 and the manager Ollie dealt with any issues with a great personality .thanks to all the staff for making this a special evening for us and the 4 parents and 3 4 grandchildren one being a newborn 😃. Thanks again great teamwork throughout 👏 👍

Visited New Years Day for breakfast. Clearly they were short staffed due to the date but the service was awful. Told we a grunt before we sat we had to order straight away. We were watched until we sat for or order, the girl didn't even crack a smile. The buffet was empty and she wasn't impressed when we asked if they had any more bread and pancakes for the children. Pancakes were never replaced. The girls were clearly unhappy to be at work and made it very clear. Happy New Year to you both! Would not recommend.

The staff at the bar were absolutely useless - unfriendly and miserable. It was a decent enough bar, but the service was dreadful. I don't normally review negatively as it's unkind, but it was just so hostile.

One of the worst meals I have ever eaten. All components of the roast beef were disgusting. The beef itself was half fat and gristle, together with the meat being utter chewy and cremated. I was one of a party of 20 and having spoken to them, nobody had a good thing to say. Never again.

Went for a work lunch, food was good, service was good, I had been before and I will probably go again! Price was super reasonable too ✌️🤌

Go for an all you can eat breakfast only to be turned away by a young lady because I haven't booked... think this is disgusting personally as she showed me the bookings and they had many more tables spare. She needs sacking! All the staff are miserable when I go in there. Terrible customer service. Avoid!!!

Edited! Dec 2024 update. Here for a work event. The residents, 12 of us have been removed from our table at the beefeater because of a party coming in. There was no forwarning just met with a surly member of staff who shrugged. This is the same appalling attitude when getting drinks from the bar. Nothing is worth any effort from the bar staff. I'm fact when I was sitting at a table the bar staff cleared the table and squirted table cleaner over me while I was sitting there. Shocking service Premier Inn refunded breakfast but the beefeater didn't even apologise

Great Breakfast and Lunch here. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Ollie the manager especially was brilliant and beyond friendly to his costumers.

I'm here on business staying in a local hotel, I found the menu dated and unhealthy and very limited so I ate from healthier take out places the breakfast is OK if you want a full English theirs limited other options. My constructive criticism would be have healthier options to swap for example instead of chips:-New potatoes, mash, jackets, oven cooked sweet potato fries, boiled veg or grilled vegetables, more pasta dishes fresh fruit salad afters fruit smoothys sugar free milkshakes. A better selection fresh fruits.

On the spur of the moment popped in for a Christmas lunch ( Turkey) which was delicious and perfectly cooked and presented. What made it was the superb service and welcome we received from our waitress, Jade. She was genuinely friendly, helpful and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. A very hardworking young lady with a great personality

Didn't reserve, and firstly told to dine in the bar, due to reservations, but restaurant was almost empty, after a chat we quickly got moved to the restaurant, nice food, hot too and not too long to wait, not bad on prices and they have a car park

Good food, service not so much. Waiter wasn’t sure how to take our order and then 3 different waiters didn’t know how to use the till when it came to pay.

Very good food, really loved the ribs. Karen was lovely and very patient with our attempts at calculating the bill. Definitely recommend coming here for a meal

A lot of the menu (festive menu especially) not available due to running out of certain meats or dishes, so not much option for me to choose from. If going to offer a festive menu please make sure you have enough to offer as was the reason for the visit.

This was better inside than out ! Outside looks a bit grotty... Inside staff were helpful and lunch food good.

Gorgeous food and was brought out to us really quickly. Special mention to our server Natash for being so smiley, helpful and all round lovely.

Ordered breakfast, poached eggs near raw, sent them back to be given two more the same, sent them back to be again give two more that were not cooked properly. Gave up. This used to be great.

Great for a relaxing coffee after a funeral service. No pressure to vacate table and very nice environment

Takes a while to get a drink on a Friday eve as they only seem to have one staff on. Availability for breakfast can be spotty. Not worth turning up without booking. Kids eat free breakfast is good, if you've booked.

Not as good as usual the steak had to be sent back and waiting staff not as friendly and welcoming

Our first visit here and we were very impressed with both the service we received and the food. Great menu choices. Loved the fact that the calories were included in the food description. This made it far easier for me to choose something whilst on my diet. Will return soon.

We were a party of 13, 4 children and 9 adults (1disabled). We chose from the main menu and the children’s menu. We wanted variations such as peas instead of corn 2 eggs rather than 1egg and 1 pineapple. We had 4 starters and 2 of the children wanted a main menu starter as a main. Phoebe our waiter got everything correct and the food was served in a timely manner and excellent quality. The drinks were delivered very quickly. All in all a very good experience thanks to Phoebe and the chefs. Thank you very much. Ken and Sandra et al.

We stayed in the Premier Inn for 2 nights and on the first morning (26/10/24) we went to the Beefeater to be told that the chef had phoned in sick and that they were only serving a continental breakfast. Rox was on her own greeting and informing customers of the situation. She remained calm under pressure and she stated although there was no hot food she could do scrambled eggs and porridge if needed. So we took her up on her offer of scrambled eggs. They were delicious! She remained professional at all times. She ensured there was plenty of food available for the guests and the pastries were lovely and warm. She was very chatty with us and is clearly very good at her job! Thank you Rox!

Phoebe was our waitress and she was amazing, friendly and very attentive will be returning, food was hot and amazing as well

Came a few days ago for the first time for care work purposes...we had a lovely staff member called phoebe serve us, she was brilliant and patient in taking quite a big order, she engaged well with all of us and came with our food at reasonable amount of time. The food was of amazing quality and the service can't be faulted...me and work will return here again due to this high quality service that we received that night 👏

Phoebe is the best waitress in the world and deserves a raise for all the work she does she is the best

Went for Sunday lunch however no Sunday lunch available second choice mix grill no onion rings available. What we did get was fine and service was fine.

Popped on for a quick meal, which was up to the usual standard. Staff were very attentive as there were clearly not enough for this busy restaurant. They were excellent.

I had a sirloin cooked exactly how I like it (medium), my husband had half a chicken which was perfect. The service from Cristina was second to none. She was attentive and knowledgeable too. As we visited mid afternoon, there weren't many people so atmosphere was different. Overall, we'd eat there again.

Wow an amazing restaurant with superb staff, I was served by an incredibly hard working,heavily pregnant beauty, who seemed to slave away for hours, assisted by an incredibly friendly gentleman called Josh and a nice young lady called Phoebe who dazzled us with flowing ginger locks and radiant smile. I'll definitely be returning, infact I'm pretty sure I'll be there again today.

We are locals and come here everyday, we love it and all the staff are always nice. Best Beefeater we ever visited. We will always come back

Poor, states breakfast served until 11:00 however when arriving at 10:35 told they had to stop because of lunch starting soon. Don’t advertise false times!!

We had a party of 7 to celebrate a 70th birthday on Sunday and we couldn't of had a nicer experience from the moment we were seated at our table to the moment we left 3 hours later!! Our server, Rox, was absolutely amazing, she tended to our every need and in timely fashion, nothing was too much trouble for her, she is a real asset to the team. All our food was delicious and the steaks were cooked to perfection, we would definitely recommend and will be returning

Food was OK but the order was incorrect, must be hard when there's only half a dozen tables to deal with at breakfast time. Gents toilets should not have been unavailable. I was unable to bolt the door in the cubicle as the bolt didn't line up with the frame and the toilet seat was insecure so if anyone tried to open the door I dread to think what would have happened, this is not something that would have happened overnight and there was a sign in the gents toilets saying these toilets are checked regularly!!!!!

Stopped in a lot of premier Inn around the country with beefeater next door. This must be one of the worst ones that I have had food in. Been here for 2 weeks and approx 5 times the food order came wrong. Not impressed. Response when I queried it was ...... Any issues speak with manager. Not what you want to hear. I will ask not to be put in this premier Inn again when I work from home. Some of the staff need retraining on customer skills and care

Shocking, food uncooked or missing, appalling service, took 2.5 hours for the food to come out, then charged my card twice, avoid at all costs

Came here for a treat just me and my boy, we had a great time, great food and the service was fantastic, the only thing I would say is the man waiter who brought the food out kind of came up to the table quietly and either didn't talk for had a very small voice so I didn't know he was standing there waiting to put the food on the table

Just been to Beefeater and had a delicious steak! Cooked perfectly and just the right amount. Service by Natasha was great, very friendly and helpful. Her banter with my son was great and he loved it.

My family and I had a great weekday meal out this evening. Our waitress Nash was extremely attentive, with a great sense of humour to get us through the autumnal evening!

Good value for money, quick service and food excellent

Four people in the restaurant eating and we were turned away because they were short staffed. I saw 5 servers floating around, they outnumber the diners! Pathetic.

Went for dinner with friends . Service was not good and staff seemed unhappy . Food was clearly precooked and didn't receive all items that were ordered. Couldn't be bothered to argue it as they were short staffed and took too long . Guiness was off but after asking for a fresh one twice just changed drink instead . Very overpriced. Won't be returning .

We had 3 breakfasts and 1 evening meal, all were excellent. Special thanks to Phoebe J the hardest worker in town, calm, efficient and a smile when under pressure, you have a great future ahead of you.

Had a great meal tonight , chef Jarka cooked food that was delicious and served in good time. Staff were efficient and Cassie our server went above and beyond to make sure everything was right. Very nice atmosphere, was in there longer than I expected to be as having a good time.

Lovely meal had for my birthday on the 26th August. Fantastic meal and the waitress (Dave!!! ) was brilliant.

What a dump in fact dumps are cleaner. Broken chairs ripped seats sticky tables manager says it is what it is. Run down and broken avoid at all cost and I got asked not to return for saying that shocking

Service off one person is exceptional,the rest are useless

Very disappointed as this place was excellent several years ago. Got seated in bar area as main restaurant fully booked only to find tables sticky and filthy, rubbish and old food left under tables. Service was terrible, staff were unwelcoming. For the price, food was very basic, quality poor and not cooked as requested. Avoid this restaurant, you would be better off going to McDonald’s!!!

Waited at the desk for ages for a member of staff, when we finally got seated it was ages before someone came to take our order they were busy chatting amongst themselves. The food was hot but there was something sprinkled over the chips which I found a bit hot. I would prefer if they give it to you so you could choose to put it on. We didn't bother staying for pudding as it took to long to see a member of staff. We paid and went elsewhere for pudding.

Food was average, childrens meals were not worth the money. A disappointing visit.

We visit weekly for breakfast and always receive the best service with a smile! A special shoutout to the lovely waitress Rox who is always very attentive, smiley and welcoming! Food is always lovely, hot and well worth the price! See you next week! :)

Queued at the bar wanting food. Stood at the till for food and was ignored for about 10 minutes. I left and ate at The Tally Ho Inn. A much better place, in my opinion.

Visited this Beefeater at 17:15 on Sunday 25 August without a booking being pretty sure that it shouldn't be a problem. However the "greeter" told us that no walk-ins were permitted. The place was dead with only two tables in this vast pub occupied. When questioned she told me that the duty manager had set this rule so I asked if s/he was available only to be told he was on his break. And so, with nothing else for it we left. This is crazy with pubs closing down in their hundreds each week and this one turns away customers when the place is virtually empty! We won't bother them again!

Booked 4.30 didn’t get to see anyone to order till 5.15. Then poor service. Here at 6.45 and we have just ordered pudding. Very slow and disappointing.

Good stop over, comfortable bed, pleasant room, shower curtains need to be removed old fashioned now, good location plenty of parking

The place is old and tired and in need of an update. It's also very dark in some places in the restaurant. When we were there there were lots of flies. The entrance smelt of sewarage and inside felt a bit damp, the window frames were visibly rotting. The food was what you would expect from a beefeater. It was ok, but clearly pre-prepared & microwaved. Similar to wetherspoons but with nicer chips. The lady serving literally scowled at us any time we asked a question, the only time I saw her smile was when she handed us the bill. The prices are too high - we had a voucher but imo it still cost too much.

Good choice for stop off, nice food, friendly staff, staying at Premier Inn so very handy, yet to check in, here for funeral at Crematorium , thank you
