The best restaurants serving British food in Exeter South West

We were given a voucher for a 3 course Sunday lunch with a 175ml glass of house wine as a gift when we got married. We booked for 1pm but arrived a bit early and we're seated straight away. The service was great and the food was excellent.we had a lovely time. The staff were really friendly.

Very enjoyable visit, great food and service, and would not hesitate to recommend.

Lovely staff, perfect service and tasty food of generous portion size. Particularly happy with the potato bread and hogs pudding. Ideal for a mid-morning breakfast as the green is quieter and the ambience enjoyable.

Came for birthday brunch with the hubs today, seriously impressed! The food was delicious and the service was second to none - the best service we've had anywhere in a very long time. Chloe is a real credit to Cosy Club - friendly, welcoming & professional, nothing was too much trouble and her sunny smile and friendly chat made our experience extra special. Thank you Chloe!

The food in this venue was amazing, the quality and flavour was exceptional. I also stopped the night as well it was warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff could not do enough for me. I had three meals the Ox Cheek (Superb), My colleague had the cod lion( which I had food envy over). The second night I had the Tuna Niçoise which was the best I have ever tasted. In the morning I ask if I could have Fruit and Yogurt with piece of toast when it arrived it surpassed my expectation it arrived with beautiful thick Greek yogurt, toasted Granola, Fresh Figs, Blackberries and Raspberries. So thank you to all at the Blue Ball for making my stay exceptional.

Decent little pub with food selection of beers. Ideal if you are going to St. James Park for the football as it's on the doorstep

We stayed for two nights in order to attend a family wedding. The staff were very friendly from the outset and we were made to feel very welcome. Meals were plentiful and well cooked and our room, although basic, was comfortable. Thanks to Steve, Mandy, Lorraine and Marcus - would recommend!

What a wonderful pub. We picked this pub at random and we were so pleased that we did. We walked in and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. A very comfortable place. The food was fantastic very well presented and cooked to perfection.

Suchna fantastic place. Lady behind the bar is amazing. All orders comes at time. Prices are good, and the food...uuuuuu.....delicious. Recommended totally. Visit that place and enjoy all day with brilliant service, exiting delicious food and fabulous people.
