Lloyd's Lounge in Exeter

Absolutely love lloyds lounge, especially on a Friday evening when they do their live music! It's a great spot for date night or to go with your friends. Their small plates are really good, realltly tasty and good value for money.

Came down on the 27th august and stayed near Exeter for family commitments. I found this place and was sold on it after having an amazing all day breakfast, came back a few times just for the breakfast!. Atmosphere was brilliant, nice staff always looking to make sure you have what you need the food is and was impeccable service too. I shall be back in when I’m down to Devon in the near future highly recommended a must for anyone visiting Exeter and looking for food reasonably priced and no drama.

Great chicken caesar salad - generous portion with fresh salad, soft chicken, crusty croutons and smoked ham. Friendly quick service and nice lounge atmosphere.

Went here with my daughter, ordered a pot of tea for myself and a brownie for my daughter. We were advised that the brownie was usually served with ice cream, but requested whipped cream instead which they said was no problem. They then brought out a brownie with ice cream saying they forgot to tell the kitchen and putting my daughter on the spot to accept the ice cream version. She politely said 'I guess that's OK' but didn’t like it and left it all. The full plate was removed and we commented that she didn't like it but still no offer of repairing their mistake. When we left we were presented with the full bill of >£10, won't be coming back 😒

Some of the best bacon and sausage sandwiches we have had in a long time. The service was fast and polite but not rushed. The food and drinks were hot and fresh. It's not the first time we've been there as a family and won't be the last.

Brilliant service and great food. We were staying in the IHG Hotel Indigo which is near to Lloyds we first had a breakfast on our first day got chatting to the owner who told us about the history of the building, and invited us to come back in the evening which was a wine and Tapas evening with live music. We had the most Fabulous time meeting a lot of the locals and tourists alike enjoying cocktails and fabulous Tapas. My husband was up dancing ( a thing he normally never does) a few cocktails might have helped. All in all a fabulous evening. We did go again for breakfast on the Saturday and had Eggs Benedict absolutely divine. A big shout out to Teigen our waitress most of the time and Ryan the manager who ran the place with perfection.

This place is just wow! I had the salmon on the lunch menu and it was delicious! The staff are so friendly and are always on the go making sure everything is going smoothly! I also ordered a coke which came in a glass bottle which I loved as it tastes better in my opinion!

Stopped for a mid morning coffee and cold drink- I had a beautiful rhubarb soft drink and we both had coffee which was so good we asked what blend it was - it's local - really friendly staff and lovely chilled atmosphere and no issue with us just having drinks

Exceptional! Lovely, attentive quick staff. Perfect food for a weekday lunch or a weekend brunch. Amazing cocktails for an evening or a great bottle or wine for a Saturday night.

We came in at 15:00 and they were already packing up the outdoor seating. When ordering drinks the waiter ask to take payment straight away as they were about to cash up. Extremely rude and unwelcoming considering their closing time is 16:00

We dropped in on Saturday lunchtime. They had a table available which was a pleasant surprise as it looked busy from outside. Comfortable seats, attractive view, efficient staff, nice coffee, good food and a relaxed atmosphere.

This place is so cool and located right in the heart of Exeter City Centre. We only nipped by for a quick cocktail whilst shopping but will definitely go back. The cocktails were lush and the staff are super friendly.

Found this restaurant off the high street tucked away. We had lunch, I had the All day breakfast and my friend had a bacon sandwich both of which were excellent. Friendly staff. Light, bright and friendly atmosphere, they even turned down the music, which they agreed was a bit loud, as I explained I couldn’t hear what my friend was saying. Will definitely return and would definitely recommend it.

Was ok but probably better suited for a hen do or girls' night out. Popped in for a quick drink and a bite to eat with my wife at around 4 pm but was told there was no food available. Pointed to the sign out side suggesting it was 2 for 1 on a glass of Prosecco only to be told it was 2 for 1 on the bottle! The place was already ramping up with a couple of noisy groups taking advantage of the offer. Had a quick drink and left.

Great service and staff, previously booked for a hen do of 30 people for a lunch and was so helpful and friendly, the food was also delicious (we had sharing boards which worked perfectly for such a large group!) thanks Lloyds lounge be back soon for a meal

Visit regularly, and Paul the owner accommodated my family a table for mother’s day. Sublime food and service as per normal, cannot beat it in Exeter.

Returning visit- Excellent customer service from the Manager who let us in early to shelter from the cold thank you Complement’s to the chef for yet another amazing Farmers breakfast served by the attentive Daniel with excellent customer service skills.

Visited with our daughter for lunch. Even though we were after time they happily served my wife with Eggs Royale, which said was excellent. My daughter’s Chicken Caesar Salad was perfect. My steak and ale pie was a little disappointing. The pastry was a little soggy and a little more meat would have been nice. However the experience reached the 5 star level by virtue of the absolutely perfect service.

Found this venue whilst wandering hungry through the town centre. What a find ! We were welcomed inside this fantastic cosy venue and were given the lunch menu. I had a burger and my wife had the all-day breakfast. It all looked fantastic and I immediately had food envy of the breakfast. However the burger did not disappoint. Great venue, great ambience, great service. Our first visit to Exeter and we will definitely go to Lloyd's Lounge again on our next visit.

Went to Lloyd’s last night and had a fabulous meal. The service was excellent and Jodie the manageress was so helpful from the moment we were shown to our table to ordering our meal and drinks. I would thoroughly recommend a visit, you won’t be disappointed

Lovely place for a quick snack and to catch up with friends. Not a great deal of variety for the plain foodies that have. I'll health. Prices very high.

Food was good, had a breakfast, hot and tasty. Unfortunately the gentleman who greeted us at the door was very surly, no hellos, smiles or welcome, this continued through the meal, perhaps he was just having a bad day, but a smile and a hello or cheery goodbye,even a thank you after we paid would have been nice!

Great brunch here. Only downside is they allow dogs in, which while great for dog owners is something I really don’t like inside around food. Constant dog sniffing my food from the next table is something I don’t enjoy….. However, the food, drinks and service were all very good.

Myself and 5 friends booked one of the wooden cabins for our Christmas get together. I am partially deaf with only 20% hearing. I struggle socially with background noise, atmosphere music to be able to hear and join in with conversations. Booking the cabin was a game changer. It was intimate, inviting and I was able to go out and enjoy time with friends. The food and service were fantastic. Very reasonably priced and portions were very good.

Brought my staff here for Christmas drinks on Friday and we loved everything about our visit. The staff were very attentive and full of Christmas cheer. The atmosphere was lovely and we would definitely return. THANK YOU to all of you and Merry Christmas!

Last time I was in Exeter we came here for coffee it was lovely although the gentleman who seated us was very brusque! Saturday afternoon we visited again and were met by a young lady who said they were busy and she wasn’t sure if there was a table …without even looking she said have a nice day and shut the door how odd ! I guess I thought she may at least look and say sorry ladies we are full at the moment … Maybe she had a bad day

I asked for turkey instead of brie in my sandwich as this was an optional extra. Charged for both at discretion of manager, but not aware of this until bill arrived. Turkey was extremely dry. Almost £15 for a dry turkey sandwich was quite steep. I would have chosen another option had I been told I could not swap out the brie.

Went there today for the first time whilst visiting Exeter, lovely meal and friendly staff.

We hadn't booked, but six of us managed to be squeezed into the restaurant on a busy shopping day. Staff extremely friendly, and food was very nice, we all had brie and cranberry ciabatta with an essential glass of wine to relax after our heavy shopping session at a very reasonable cost. Would definitely come again , especially as it was in a good location.

Loved the whole experience in the Christmas Chalet today. We had the most wonderful Roast Turkey. It was so cosy and warm with a lovely atmosphere Caz looked after us so well, she was friendly, attentive and full of festive cheer! Thank you very much I hope we can come back before the new year !

This is the 2nd time I’ve been to Lloyd’s lounge. 1st time back in the summer where we sat outside in the sunshine and again today. We tucked into the most delicious breakfast. We were greeted and welcomed in to the warm and seated immediately. We ordered the big breakfast 2 of everything (we were hungry) We didn’t have to wait too long for our food to arrive and we were not disappointed. Absolutely delicious. Great value for money. Perfect location and great atmosphere. Highly recommended x

Visited Lloyds with friends on a Saturday night. We had cocktails and small plates of haloumi, peppers and camembert. The food was great as was the service. Cocktails were amazing. It was my first visit, really impressed. Will be back soon.

I spend more and more time in this wonderful establishment for brunch, lunch, drinks or their wonderful Friday and Saturday evenings with live music, excellent cocktails and superb tapas. Lloyd d his terrific team have the feeling of family about them and always manages to make me feel special. My home from home.

Great find, especially the 2:4:1 fizz on Friday after 4pm (& before 7pm) just what is needed. small menu but it packed a punch taste wise. Friday live music too. L.O.V.E it

This is the second time we have visited Lloyds Lounge and again had a great experience. The service is second to none with a warm welcome as soon as we stepped inside. We had the Mediterranean tart with salad and chips which was really tasty...

Just been to Lloyds Lounge for lunch. I'm usually very happy with everything here, but unfortunately not today. Service was slow, we were forgotton about, waiter apologised for this, when food arrived had to remind waiter of something missing we'd ordered. Food nice.... We asked for the Bill, but kept waiting again as Waitress said 'she forgot' about it when asked a second time. All in all a little dissapointing today

Tried to go in for a drink at 10.30pm after a meal out elsewhere. There was nobody on the door and the atmosphere looked really good with lots of people on the dance floor so we walked straight in to the bar. As soon as we got to the bar we were approached by a man who said ‘I cannot serve you so you need to leave’. No explanation as to why at all. We were smartly dressed and there were of other people were there getting drinks at the bar. Maybe it was because we hadn’t had dinner there beforehand but it was really odd to have so little explanation and a real shame as it looked like good fun.

Menu much the same as the last visit, so obviously they don't change it very often, might be seasonal. No specials board. Dog friendly and the service was spot on, although l do not like being presented with the Bill and being stood over to pay up straight away as if we are going to doing a runner! The Hamburger was tasty but too much salad used as a filler l suspect

Have been going here since it opened as service, food and easy going atmosphere a pleasure. Haven't found anywhere in Exeter for coffee/ lunch/ tea that brings all these qualities together as well as they do here. Long May it last

Great place for lunch in the city centre. Buzzing atmosphere, good menu and attentive staff. They've got it just right!

Had breakfast on Tuesday 21st August after a recommendation. Ordered Eggs benedict for my granddaughter and my daughter and husband had poached eggs with bacon & toast, I opted for the bacon and sausage bap and asked for a granary roll. After about 20 nineties the food arrived and first impressions were good. We had to ask for condiments which arrived. Sadly the bacon resembled in texture which I described to the waitress shoe leather this clearly was cooked and hour earlier and left under a heat lamp. All the eggs on the benedict meals were overcooked and the Hollandaise sauce had an acrid taste about it and the bacon instead of the ham was again over heated/cooked and was barely edible. The waitress asked when she came to clear the table asked if everything was okay and of course I said no and told her the above she apologised and said she would mention it to the manager, but sadly we had nobody follow up our complaint. When my daughter paidcthe bill of £57 another end ( which I advised her not to the waitress just looked away. Sadly won't be returning after this and considering this was a birthday breakfast for me it kind of ruined the start of the day. We went to another restaurant for lunch as we couldn't return because of our experience. Thanks Kevin PL27 6PW

Lovely breakfast/brunch. We have been a number of times and it never disappoints.

We had a late lunch after 2pm so wasn't too busy. Food came lovely and hot and in a timely manner. We had the Lounge Burger, which I thought was an excellent taste and not dripping in fat either, and also the Crayfish Sandwich on white bread which was really tasty as my wife gave me some but she loved it too. We asked for no peppers on the salad and it came without any. They listened to us. All in all, really enjoyed the meal and good prices too. Will go again when next in Exeter.

Came here for 1st time for Brunch & to check it out for a future Evening visit (the live music is reputed to be brilliant). Good quality breakfast (Exe Breakfast) & the staff super efficient, friendly & helpful. Look forward to my Evening visit!

Lovely place for our lunch today. Attentive staff, beautiful interior that makes you think it's going to be really expensive. But no! Very reasonable. The atmosphere here would be great for comfortable and classy meet-ups with great food and drinks. Will most definitely return.

Great location and a lovely setting right in the center of Exeter. Clean environment, and a great atmosphere with comfortable sitting. Perfect for solo dinners without feeling uncomfortable. Attentive good service with a lovely selection of food for brunch. Lovely food cooked and well presented.

Serious problems, i was contacted from my bank that the booking system they use is subject to criminal activity. Once they send a six figure number to confirm £30 Fee, there wrinse your account. I have phoned Lloyd's lounge at least 30 times today from 9am till 4pm. They do not pick up the phone. DO NOT BOOK A TABLE ON THEIR WEB Site. It is compromised and they can't even be bother to pick the phone up to help. Very unprofesional.

The most STUNNING Eggs Bendict in the sunshine here! Portions were insanely big (we easilly could have shared one between us). Lush location in exeter town center! Would absolutely reccomend to anyone looking for breakfast!

I had the pleasure of having breakfast at this place two days ago. It wasn't my planned place, I got there by accident but I don't regret it. The decor is wonderful, the service is nice, friendly and smiling, but the food here is delicious 🤍 the price is very adequate to the food and I could even be tempted to say that for such quality and such portions it is even cheap💸 I highly recommend this place and I will definitely come back there often🥰

I have visited Lloyds several times now - it has such a beautiful interior with twinkling lights and great staff to accompany it. Often in the summer there is live music which is a great addition to go with your meal or when you're out...

Big mistake with latest all day menu. We went for breakfast but who wants scampi or a burger for breakfast?! We assume it makes life easier for the kitchen, but not great for customers. Our breakfasts were huge - the bacon was leathery and bread...

Only ever had breakfast but it's so good, I normally have a cooked breakfast and it's all fresh and not dripping in oil and the wife has egg's benadict and I have to say that looks fantastic...

Popped in here for breakfast with a couple of friends. Service was excellent and staff were friendly. I had the bacon sandwich which was delicious ( lots of well cooked bacon ). I will definitely go again.

Cold hollandaise sauce. Lichfield tea (cheap wholesale rubbish) and shabby looking loos. Can't understand the 4.5 star reviews this place holds.

I had the Monkfish scampi, omg it was fantastic, fresh salad and crispy chips. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and the toilets were very clean and felt quite posh.
