Visitors to Sidmouth. Soup was amazing with gluten free bread. A lovely glass of red wine too. Tom was exceptional, he welcomes everyone with kindness and a smile. A real asset to the business!!!

We ate here two years ago & loved it so much we decided to eat here again . We were not disappointed from the moment you walk through the entrance you know you are entering a high class establishment. The food was delicious with a very good menu to chose from & the setting in the restaurant itself with the many chandeliers was in a class of its own . The waitress’s were very attentive & the waiter knew the wine menu extremely well . We both had a wonderful evening & who knows maybe back in an other 2 years . Thank you for making our evening so special for us .

I have responded to the experience questions despite a non visit. My message is based on the fact I was ultimately unable to enjoy the products from my online order, as I appear to be excluded from delivery listings due to the fact I live on a Scottish Island. Was an amazing place. We’re looking for a rest sandwich, we tried 2 bakeries and neither had any available. We went down a small road and found this gem. The young man working came off his break to serve us, the owner was there to help, both really friendly. Fresh bread and fresh fillings, they do not skimp on any of the fillings. Anything you could want from a small local sandwich/lunch spot. Pasta salads, fresh baguettes; sandwiches; panini, jacket potato. £7.90 for 2 full baguettes with one main fillings and veggies. Would 100% recommend! :)

Absolutely perfect gluten free breakfast. Presentation excellent and really helpful and friendly staff. Really good value.

We visited the Riveria for lunch today, our first visit for 8 years and I have to say that I was very disappointed. I ordered cod and chips at a hotel next to the sea but I was given a piece of battered fish straight out of the "Bird's Eye" mould and not freshly cooked as I expected from a hotel of some repute. This was nowhere near the quality I enjoy regularly from my local Wetherspoons!

A really lovely find. A coffee shop nearby was packed and as we started to walk away we saw Osborne's and I'm so pleased the other place was full otherwise we would never have experienced Osborne's. What a delightful place and excellent food.

Absolutely fantastic location on the beautiful seafront. Clean hotel with basic breakfast served, unfortunately very little choice on what time to have breakfast. Only option was after 9 every morning and often not much fruit salad left on the buffet by then. They're unable to accommodate guests who prefer to decide, on waking, when to have breakfast. We opted not to have the evening meal. Disappointed that the bar closes at 10:30 pm, latest. On occasions would really have liked a drink bit later than this which does not seem unreasonable to me. Hotel obviously very understaffed but staff were pleasant and hard working. Revolting view from our small stuffy bedroom window (see photo) Window had covering placed over it to disguise the disgusting outlook. Window only opened a few cms and the room was extremely stuffy, insufficient air circulating around the room but the hotel communal areas were comfortable. I have asthma and my room worsened it considerably and made it very hard for me to sleep so not a restful break at all hence poor review.

Fantastic family meal at the Swan Inn. Delicious Scampi and the best chips. Really nice Rose wine. Best of all was our waiter Ruben, who looked after us brilliantly. Loved the decor and will definitely return.

Always enjoy a pensioners fish and chips here. Great value and a good size portion for me complete with cup of tea. The only downside is the peas, I would prefer garden peas as I don't like mushy peas. Friendly staff.

Fish was nice, chips were a bit dry. Nice inside to sit in. However one of the staff was dressed a bit revealing which was inappropriate for my children to be around, won’t be returning.

This was the first time I have been into the Harbour Hotel. I live in Hertfordshire, so not a local. I was looking for a place to have lunch with friends from NY, who were staying in Exeter. This was a bit of serendipity. We were all impressed as soon as we entered the hotel. It was freah and clean and carried the colours and pictures of a marine theme. The restaurant was bright, airy and very comfortable. The staff, both male and female were quite young. but excellent. They were polite, friendly, attentive and efficient. Our meals were very tasty, well presneted and enjoyable. For dessert, although not on the menu, we asked for 3 afigatos and not only did the young man know what we wanted, but they came beautifully presnted. An all round 5Start experience and I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel and would happily stay there on my next visit to Sidmouth!

Coffee and Latte was good. Snacks looked disappointing. The place was very busy and service was very slow. Staff were pretty good.
