We spent a fab 24 hours at Dormy House. It's difficult to overstate just what a class act this whole place is from top to bottom. Meticulously stylish interiors, impeccably polite and endlessly helpful service from everyone you meet. A luxurious spa where you leave all your worries at the door and relax. The rooms are comfortable and the whole vibe is unstuffy but attentive. We've stayed a few times and will hopefully do so again soon. If you want a relaxed, pampered break from the world outside, I can't recommend Dormy House highly enough.

We received an extremely warm welcome . Everything was very relaxed and comfortable. We chose to eat inside, but there is a lovely beer garden at the back with plenty of tables. The service was superb and friendly throughout. The food was excellent. Substantial fish and chips, mouth watering confit of pork belly, delightful halloumi fries. The baby scallop with pea purée starter was a highlight. A delightful lunch with friends and good value . I hope to return very soon

Monday 7th April 2025, My husband and I got up a little later than we intended and packed our cases into our car. At 9.00, we started our journey down to Cirencester. We did make a stop for breakfast and a toilet break in Morton-In-The-Marsh. Our usual coffee shop was closed due to an unforeseen family crises. My husband and I strolled down the street and went to ‘The Victorian Tea Room’, in a lovely old regency building. The place was quite when arrived but filled up very quickly after 10.30. My husband and I found a lovely table for two inside the coffee shop which was light and airy. My husband and I sat down and then we looked at the impressive breakfast menu. My husband had a sausage and egg bap with tomato ketchup, which he said was very nice. I too decided to have a bap filled with bacon and egg with brown sauce, which was very nice and very filling. My husband also had a pot of tea and I had a two large cups of latte coffee, which set us up for the rest of the day.

We stayed here for an away day and overall it was very good. The food is excellent with the chef, ex Ledbury, Harwood Arms and Woodsman Stratford, overseeing a great locally sourced menu with a great feel. The wine list is broad but a bit expensive with some gems. Our room, the Cuckoo’s Den, is large and comfy with a great view. The only downsides were no hot water the day we arrived and the common areas are limited with only one set of sofas by a lovely fire. Without that it would be a 5. A place to come and use as a base to get our and about not to cost up in - a challenge when the weather is so bad. But if you want a base for the Cotswolds it would be hard to beat. The staff can’t do enough for you.

We really enjoyed our two day break at this very charming and well run hotel set in this lovely small town. Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome by Amanda and directed to our room. Located on the top floor the view of the square was most pleasant although the final few steep stairs might be a challenge for some. The room itself was cosy, spotless, had a very nice bathroom (excellent shower) and a very comfortable bed which made for very restful sleep. The only minor criticism (according to my wife) is that there was no seated vanity/dressing table with a mirror although there was a very comfy sofa for relaxing and watching TV should you so wish. We were fortunate enough to have excellent weather meaning we could enjoy the rear private beer garden. I can imagine that with the plentiful seating areas, heaters and greenery it will be very atmospheric of a long summer evening. Charlie was excellent at the bar, was very friendly and looked after us admirably. Likewise Justine was equally as attentive, charming and fun when looking after us at both dinner and breakfast. The evening menu is limited (by design for quality) and we thoroughly enjoyed the Chatheaubriand! Breakfast was excellent too! The modern cocktail bar offers a very pleasant area to enjoy pre dinner drinks and watch passers by in the square. In summary, it is of no surprise that the hotel has such good reviews and it is our pleasure to add to those. The hotel is well run, very pleasant and the staff are not only very friendly but make you feel welcome and wanted. We will be back.

I can't say enough good things about Martha's. My wife and I stopped in to pick up sandwiches and drinks before a countryside walk. The food and service were both absolutely wonderful. The menu options were vast, yet we each felt as though we had gotten the cafe's special sandwich, as they were both so delicious. And did I mention how wonderful the people working there were? Because they were. Highly recommend your stopping by. Love this place.
