We visited for the first time last week. We were both excited at the prospect of rarebit (since removed from the menu) the bland rarebit was just one piece of toast, the rest of the plate was salad, however the salad dressing made it tasty. But £13 seriously?! On a positive lovely views to enjoy.

Me & my wife stayed over in one of the hotels in Cotswolds, we opted out of having hotel breakfast. Saw the reviews for Cotswold Barn & winning in 2023. So thought why not give it a try. What an absolute spot on breaky, I had the full English with macchiato & my wife had the scramble egg on toast with English tea. Couldn't of asked for a prefect breakfast. On our departure as we looked at the cakes, we met with the owner Bernard, what a gentleman, clearly has an eye for hospitality & the passion for he's business. We will definitely be back, Cotswold Barn has our vote for 2024! Manny & Dolly

Sunday breakfast. Food perfect as always. Full English and a Sausage breakfast roll. Very busy so a small wait for food but that’s understandable as it’s not a fast food restaurant and food cooked to order. Service always with a smile even at its busiest. Great selection of giftwear and a small fridge with a few chilled items mainly meats, cheeses, ales and ciders. Also fresh eggs. Perfect for breakfast, coffee, lunch or afternoon tea….

I feel generous in giving this an average, as we had a poor experience here today. The blonde haired staff lady is very rude not sure if it’s intended or if she doesn’t realise how rude she comes across. My husband ordered breakfast with the long haired guy behind the till and then realised we hadn’t been asked how we wanted our eggs or what type of toast, so he went back to ask and the blonde lady shrugged her shoulders and said it’s already done, this was literally a minute after ordering so shows food is not freshly cooked. Our order came and was wrong but we didn’t feel comfortable in mentioning anything, and my husbands eggs were not cooked properly. also put a sign up to let people know where the dog area is as we had walked through to the seating area and were stood by the sign that says wait here to be seated only to be told the dog area is at the front just as you come in.

Couldn't have chosen a more suitable location for this to be held. The Cotswold Barn coped brilliantly with the many visitors and had a great system to get people seated and served. Whilst truly delicious, it was on the expensive side, 4 drinks, 4 sandwiches, and 4 cakes over £50. The quality however was extremely good as was the service. The venue is perfect with both inside and outside seating, a wonderful little shop selling some lovely items from toiletries to handbags. I will definitely visit again on a quieter day to look around the shop properly.

Informal personal survey of Cotswold ‘Full English’ breakfasts rates this is one of the worst and most expensive, really looking forward to trying as expectations were high given location and assumed provenance. Decided to post as clearly not a blip, echoes a recent review - the plate, and contents, had been heat scorched to the point of dry and arid extinction, scalding and hot enough to sear the tongue and render tasteless. Needs better quality control and not bathe in the light of a Cotswold brand dressed in The Emperor’s New Clothes. Nearby Moreton offers far better choice and value.

We went this morning for breakfast for my 50th birthday. The staff did not greet us when we arrived and we had to ask if we just sat anywhere. My husband and I both had the vegetarian breakfast, it was average at best. Our tea and coffee was lukewarm and I had finished my coffee before breakfast arrived. Both the vegetarian sausages and hash brown were overcooked and rock hard, and again the food was lukewarm. £13 is not cheap for breakfast and I would say it's overpriced. Maybe we just visited on a bad day, but I would not be in a rush to go back.

This was the second time we have been and yet again it was a lovely breakfast. There was 7 adult and 3 children in are party. Service was great and food excellent and made to feel welcome. We will be coming back again. The only thing I wish they did was a children’s menu as I don’t think paying the same price for a child’s breakfast as an adult, is a bit much. As the children leave a lot of it. I would recommend going just feed the kids before you go 😂😂.

This is a lovely location and very handy for visiting Stow or walking in the area. However, for us it was unacceptably expensive with a £13 full-English consisting of 1 sausage, 1 egg, 1 hash brown, 1 mushroom, a small tub of beans, 2 rashers of bacon and a slice of toast. Not sure how they justify that? If we visit again it will just be for a coffee!!

Friendly staff, Beautiful setting and shop, but the cafe left everything to be desired. We were very disappointed given the rave reviews online. Sandwich came with stale shop-sliced bread without grains (the menu said granary) and no cheese (just lots of mayo, apple &celery). Free range eggs nice, but the farmhouse sausages were the strangest ever. Bright orange in colour, we thought they might be spicy, but no. Bland & low meat content, they tasted like vegetarian sausages and not good ones either. Also quite stuffy with closed windows despite signs everywhere about the importance of ventilation during a pandemic. We won’t be returning. Recommend Martha’s Cafe in nearby Morton in Marsh instead.

Friendly, bright and airy farmshop type restaurant. As the name implies, we expected lots of local provenance on the menu, but hard to find. We had ham, egg and chips and sausage, egg and chips. Wouldn't you expect a note to say who produced the ham, or the name of the free-range chicken farm? Nothing. The sausages were labelled as 'Lashford' - which turned out to be a producer near Birmingham! And they were run-of-the-mill. Surely there's a local sausage maker to support? Considering the prices - which are very 'Cotswolds', we were underwhelmed. Good service.

We're local to here and pop in from time to time. Came in today for 2 coffees with 1 scone jam and cream and a cheese scone with butter and chutney. Charged over £12 for scones that had been put in the microwave and came out rubbery and tasteless. Jam for the scone was a tiny plastic pot which hardly amounted to a scraping. No butter with the cheese scone and despite an abundance of staff no-one came to check if everything was OK. We didn't finish the scones.....Some covid measures in place - track and trace and staff wearing facemasks but tables still very close with people walking by and also very close back to back. Tables had sachets of sugar, salt and ketchup on them - they can't possibly be sanisized and should not be left on the table. We didn't feel at all safe and they are obviously trying to pack in as many tables as possible, where some tables should really be removed.Staff at till didn't even ask if everything was OK and to be honest, we were too disappointed in the experience to say anything. Staff need to be trained in customer care and not all hide round the back. Really disappointed and unlikely to return or to recommend people to visit.

Go for the hot desert of the day (Bread & Butter pudding) and there’s no change from £6!! All I can think is they are looking to pay for their very nice cafe extension in 12 months. Delicious sandwich lunch with a pot of tea before heading out for an autumn walk. Lovely fresh bread and generous fillings. Staff were great and service was quick even though the cafe was busy.Farm shop and deli had a great selection of food and drinks - will be back to try their pies, they looked yummy!

Cafe is major part of a food store set a few miles out of Stow on the Wold with stunning views a large car park and outside seating if the weather is kind to you. Fairly Covid friendly and when we called late afternoon on a Sunday there weren’t too many people there. Drinks and food are rather on the pricey side, but I guess it is Stow on the Wold. £2.50 for a glass of Diet Coke.

No te sentiste bajo ninguna presión.

Simplemente no puedo".

Muchas gracias. Tony y Linda

We phoned ahead to book a table inside as it was raining, the phone was answered immediately. There was ample parking and a clear one way system. We ordered a quiche and a vegetarian samosa with salad and perfectly cooked new potatoes which we shared and both were delicious. We could see the staff thoroughly sanitising tables as people left. First experience of eating out since lock down and very impressed and we felt vey safe.

My partner and i are staying in Cheltenham for the weekend and had headed to Bourton on the water intending to grab some lunch there. Sadly it would appear everyone in the whole of the Cotswolds also had this idea and we didn't feel comfortable staying as was so busy and over crowded(not what we need in current times)....what a shame! And now I'm a tad hangrey!! Maybe even more than a tad.My partner remembered on the drive in seeing this cafe that had tables outside so we decided to drive back and hope for the best!My hunger and stress was solved the second we stepped out the car in the carpark. Fresh air, gorgeous scenery, spaced out seating in the sunshine! What more could we want. The one way system works really well! We ordered and paid before going out back to sit. The cakes cleverly placed insight for us to see :-)We only had sarnies and chips but they were both so tasty and fresh. Decent portions. And of course we had some cake. Lemon cheesecake to be exact and this was also delicious!Shame we don't have another afternoon to go back as we would be there in a skip and a jump! Definitely reccomend this place, don't keep going to Bourton! STOP HERE!

Firstly, very pleased to see the cafe properly open again after lockdown (we have called in previously in the last few weeks for takeaway food from a limited menu) However our experience this visit wasn't as positive as on previous visits, of which there have been many!. I found the lady behind the till to be quite unwelcoming, which hasn't ever been the case previously - perhaps she was having a bad day. (The young man actually serving our meal was pleasant as usual)Food ordered, we sat down outside in the sun to await our meal. Plenty of benches free outside and the one way system felt quite safe. Soup was cauliflower cheese, well presented and with two pieces of bread reasonable value at £5.95. Quite disappointed with the other order, which was tomato bruschetta and salad. This was a single small piece of bread with tomato topping, with a small salad. Whilst this was quite nice, the price of just under £10 could surely have warranted a second piece of bruschetta on the plate. Perhaps I just made the wrong choice on this occasion.

Decent shop with some nice gifts and some healthy farm food options . We had a flat white which had absolutely no resemblance to a flat white ! It was 99% hot milk in a big cup . Mine was spilt in the saucer which i wouldn’t have minded if there had been an apology . Maybe we were just unlucky .

Excellent restaurant in a very beautiful hotel where I celebrated my birthday with a a small group of friends. Last year I also enjoyed an evening meal here with my partner. Ambience, service and food were perfect. Apéritifs in the lounge, well-spaced tables in the restaurant, excellent, polite and friendly staff, delicious food and lovely surroundings. By far the best restaurant I have been to in years.

What a find, a very quintessential English country pub serving local beers as well as a very stocked back shelf and wine cellar. The welcome is warm and very friendly from the staff and locals alike. Not once did we finish our meals and head home, as we started conversations with the locals and fellow guests, that meant for a very social atmosphere. There is a good lunch menu and a very comprehensive evening menu. I promise you will want to come back to try "something else" off the menu, I know we did and we soon realised that we had to pick either starters & main or main & desert due to the larger portions you receive.

We attended a Wedding at Fosse Manor (in their Hyde Barn). The wedding catering was excellent. It is confusing to read the other reviews here as there was no actual restaurant on site that we could see - just the wedding banquet room and adjoining bar. Breakfast however was not good. Pre-cooked under 3 heat lamps and self-service. The tea was very weak even after adding more tea-bags! The breakfast room was styled like a hostel with long trestle tables for lots of guests to sit together, and was extremely noisy. After a night spent in the terrible accommodation here (for which we have written a separate review) we did not enjoy this experience at all. A shame, as the Wedding catering itself was very well done and managed.

A very old fashioned type of tea room. You think you're going into a book shop at first, then go into the main tea room. It all exudes history and quality. Very nice for afternoon tea, the cakes are wonderful and all made on the premises, the brunch was great too. Can't really fault it. Service was quick despite it being very busy. Highly recommended, well worth a visit
