Absolutely fantastic meal and service. We booked for a party of 20 (10 adults 10 children) Becky was just fantastic, so relaxed and accommodating. The team made us so welcome and the food was excellent. We had a wide range of food, from roast, to children’s meals, to specials and every one was perfect, The outside space was a massive bonus, allowing the parents to relax whilst the children played outside. Wonderful country pub, with excellent food and service.

Went for Sunday Roast with the wife and it was amazing. We booked for 5.30 and once there realised we were probably the last serving but this didn’t affect the quality. Roast Pork was delicious and they were not scrimping on the portions. Stuffing, Yorkshire Pudding, crackling all added along with loads of vegetables. One of the best roasts I have had. Pub is also a proper pub, and staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend 100%.

Food was lovely but service was far from it. When booking over the phone we were asked to arrive earlier as they were quiet and wanted to go home early. We arrived and were rushed to order with the waitress demanding the menus back while we were still in the process of ordering. A starter came out after the mains because they forgot to put it through, probably because they were rushing so much. When ordering desert we were rushed again to the point I refused to order a desert. Raised voices from staff saying “hurry up please we’d like to go home” is completely unacceptable. A child with us was going to order ice cream for desert but the waitress continued to tell him he could order a bigger (and twice the price) pudding. No one other than the parent has the right to tell a child what they can have, especially not a member of staff that doesn’t know the child or family. They seemed more interested in the money they could earn than the service they provided but don’t realise the bad service has lost you your tip and returning customers. Would not recommend for this reason alone but again will say the food was faultless as always.

I booked the Plough Inn for my husband’s 70th birthday on Sunday months ago and I’m so pleased I did. There wasn’t a table or seat to be had when we arrived. It didn’t take long to figure out why. Not only is the pub so wonderfully quaint but the food was amazing with very generous portions even for our little Grandchildren. The staff are extremely efficient and friendly and they are all marshalled by the wonderful Becky who runs the Plough like a well oiled machine. Lovely interior, with pictures worth a second look. Friendly, efficient and well timed service. Well cooked food in generous portions. Why only a 4? Menu a bit limited if you don't want a steak or a pie. We thought there could have been more chicken and fish in the respective pies. Starter (fig and goat cheese tart) really excellent, veg (peas, broccoli, carrots) with mains plainly cooked, good enough but nothing really original. We had a very similar meal (1 starter, 2 mains, 3 pints, 2 coffees) at another local pub for almost £15 less: prices here rather higher than average here.

Great old world country pub in the heart of the Cotswolds. We were made very welcome by Becky and her young team for traditional Sunday roast lunch. Both the beef and the lamb were excellent and the vegetable selection was fresh and hot. Our only complaint was the the main course was so large that we could not manage one of the delicious home made desserts. The pub is rather off of the beaten track but well worth seeking out. If you want to eat inside rather that in the marquee booking is recommended.

A family expedition to the Cotswolds to purse an episode in family history centred around this LH in WW2. Slightly quirky and quickly noted many of the tables were booked for lunch. Welcomed by Becky (owner & licensee), served by Henry, Lilibelle and two others. Big selection on the menu, so we settled for the prawn cocktail and the baked cod. What a treat both were - so much so I am still feeling full 24hrs later. Then rested outside and the expedition resumed. Clearly best to book ahead! If you can choose the dining room select the one at the rear, which is bathed in sunlight. Happy with the bill too, two courses, two prosecco and one white wine. Third person had a lighter lunch, followed by a cream tea - strawberries, jam and cream. Have a look around at the pictures, the yard - with great flowering baskets.

Camping in nearby Hailes Abbey Orchard with around 17 friends and three dogs, the weather on Saturday was appalling. By mid-afternoon we had had enough so phoned around to book a table somewhere, fully expecting no-where capable of catering for this many people at such short notice. We were so pleased when the Plough at Ford said if we could be there at 6.00 and order quickly, we could have the whole bar area for food and drinks. We got in, wet, and quickly ordered as requested. The pub itself is a lovely old Cotswold building, full of character with a good range of beers on tap. The food was very good quality and portions were more than satisfying. The young lady working the bar did an amazing job. She served drinks and food quickly and efficiently, she was engaging and friendly and must be an absolute asset to the place.

Back in the day, supper at The Plough meant asking the landlady very nicely, who went away to peel and chop some vegetables etc., producing a plate worthy of your Mum's cooking about an hour later. Things have moved on a bit since then and the pub has edged up-market, but still retains its essential charm, and is a thoroughly nice place to be, especially on a chilly winter's day after a walk. Enjoy a drink and maybe a snack in the bar, where you might be rubbing shoulders with folks from Jonjo O'Neill's adjacent racing stables, or sit down for a more substantial meal in the dining area. The food is excellent and well presented, and the quality is echoed in the little touches such as a little jug of proper French dressing with the fresh salad I had. Wash it down with Donnington's lovely ales and you'll leave a satisfied customer.

Lunch in the Cotswolds with family members. What a lovely lunch we had too. Firstly a warm friendly welcome from the young staff, plenty of choice on the menu and the meals were well worth waiting for. My gammon steak was thick and tasty, cooked...

Nice and relaxed setting if you time it right, sampled the most amazing creation of Banoffee Splat, absolutely delicious and great coffee too. Added bonus that it is dog friendly.

This used to be a really cosy cafe where you’d get decent quality coffee, cakes and toasties etc. visited today for the first time since before Covid and I’m guessing it must have changed hands. Espresso was undrinkable ( more like filter coffee) and we only ate one mouthful of the cheese ham toastie - anaemic, plastic ham and cheese. Dont like leaving negative reviews but this is more like a transport caf now which is such a shame. Won’t be back.

Very cute cafe with pretty interiors, great service and delicious food. They also source their ingredients from other locally owned businesses from the region, so 10/10 for that!

Clean, friendly staff, good range on the menu, reasonably priced. Charlie plays some good music, too 😉 Excellent.
