I visited with my cousin from the States for a proper fry up. I think we were the first customers. We were greeted warmly and sat down immediately. The whole place was sparkling clean. The owners were lovely and entertained my 7 month old twins while we ate. The English Breakfasts were perfect, especially the bacon. I appreciated the lack of tomato as I don't like them but always eat them anyway because I hate food waste. I've lived in Cirencester for nearly 3 years and this was my first visit, but it won't be my last.

Stopped here with my daughter, cappuccino was delicious, she enjoyed her strawberry bubble tea with peach topping. Nice and quiet, and not gloomy like the nearby chain coffee shops.

A perfect location for a breakfast 1:1. Very peaceful (although we were the first people in the doors when the charming wall clock struck eight thirty).

I came here with a group of students on a school trip and it was lovely. They were very accommodating, even opening on a day they’d usually be closed so that we could come. All the drinks and food were lovely, and it gave a great opportunity for some of our International students to enjoy a very traditional English breakfast in a traditional cafe in a rural town. Eggs and bacon were good, however, the sausages were those cheap catering ones with 40% pork.

Called in to have something to eat, prices have increased since last time, we had gammon delight ? ( no delight sorry to say). minute servings, gammon very fatty. not worth the money. had to wait to pay as the staff were sat down talking to a customer. Wont be going again.

Traditional menu cooked really well with reasonable prices. We had poached eggs on toast and the gammon. Food was great and the bill for three of us, food and drinks, came to £34. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Cirencester

I ordered egg florantine. The avocados served to me were totally unripe, hard and not eating worthy. I paid the bill in full but told them about avocados. The billing assistant agreed that this time their avocados have come like that. I told them that then they should not serve the raw avocados to customers and instead ask them for selecting some other dish. The chef was also sitting in the room, the billing lady told him about it. He was totally unapologetic and did not choose to respond. So I am not going to visit such a place again. They need to worry about their customer's health.

Visited here yesterday, and ate with my mother, she had a ham and cheese baguette and I had the lasagne, we also had a latte and a tea. Would definitely recommend to go there for breakfast, lunch or early dinner.

Nos encontramos con un desayuno típico británico simplemente perfecto y con un precio correcto! Es una gema escondida en Cirencester! Podrian mejorar y modernizar el lugar o darle un aire mas especial, hay algo que falta en relacion al ambiente, ademas utilizsr redes sociales para impulsar el lugar, por otro lado la atención un podria ser mejor, se nota que entre locales la pareja que atiende establece una buena conexión, pero para quienes estamos de turismo la atención se nota mas distante. Pero sin duda ea un lugar que vale la pena para desayunar sin lugar a dudas el mejor en Cotswolds!

We would definitely recommend this little but perfect cafe.

Went to the Old Cafe as they do a variety of food at reasonable prices. The cafe is quite big so it wasn't a problem getting a table. The staff are very friendly. We both had a sandwich, and really enjoyed them.

Visited 'The Old Cafe' today with some friends who were visiting Cirencester. We chose it because it promoted itself as 'vegetarian friendly', also because of the good reviews. Not quite sure how the reviews are so good, however. There was a complete absence of any welcome and atmosphere, and although our food arrived promptly and was freshly prepared, it was very ordinary and lacked any imagination. Our coffees were not good either!. My wife's 'Americano' was weak and tasteless, and my 'flat white', was dire. It wasn't a 'flat white' at all, but a very weak 'latte'. On the plus side, the cafe was certainly very clean. Very unlikely to visit 'The Old Cafe' again, however.

What an absolute gem of a place this is. Excellent food at a really good price. I just wish I didn't live 500 miles away from it. Well worth visiting if you are in the area.

We came across this unassuming, spotlessly clean café when looking for somewhere on a Sunday morning for breakfast the service and food were excellent. The facilities was spotless. We can’t thank the owners enough for posting items we left behind on to us. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

We had a fantastic family breakfast out with myself, my wife, and my dad. The breakfasts are excellent value for money, and the staff are brilliant. We do live in the Cirencester, and this is one of our ‘go to’ places for breakfast.

Went here for breakfast. Such lovely friendly and helpful lady who was more than happy to accommodate my request for a 'dry' Cappuccino.... with most places it always turns into a lengthy explanation of not wanting such a milky Cappuccino. She listened, which most places don't and did our coffee and it is THE best coffee we have had anywhere for a very long time. We put in our order and again I had some requests.... very crispy bacon, hard fried egg etc. She took all this on board with such loveliness. This really was such a wonderful change to the majority of cafe owners/staff. It felt like she really valued our custom rather than just taking it for granted as other places do. The breakfast was EXACTLY as requested and really good. The prices too are excellent. What really made a big difference for us was that at the time, there was no music playing or radio on, and it was so lovely and quiet and peaceful. Just what you want for a relaxing breakfast...... just before we left though, she put the radio on, but at least we got to eat ours in peace. This is not local to us but if ever in Cirencester again this is definitely where we will go again

The food is so good, the resturant is so neat and clean. Great environment. The shop owners are very nice and put great effort to cook the food.

Nice family feel cafe, if you want an English breakfast it's not commercialised service, you'll be served quickly and it's made just around the corner from the tables. It has a retro style to it and it's not trying to be anything special, it just does the basics well. One issue is that they only have dairy milk but that wasn't the end of the world.

We googled for a place to eat breakfast in Cirencester and this came up with a good review. No regrets for coming all the way from Swindon! Nice and clean. Staff were friendly. Food were cooked just right and were tasty. Fairly priced. My kids loved the milkshakes! My partner told me we will definitely going back!

Very lovely cafe! Welcoming staff, cozy atmosphere and super tasty food. The only let down was the amount of mushrooms on the breakfast. 5 thin slices of a small mushroom was a little disappointing but for < £8 if you’re not bothered about the mushrooms you can’t go wrong, it was all delicious. There was a very healthy portion of salmon on the eggs royale as well. I definitely recommend this cafe but would probably give 4.5 if I could.

Searched on Google maps for a breakfast... walked around... saw the standard Costa and Nero... didn't want a just a pastry... could have got from the market just near to them... searched for a "breakfast and found this gem Staff courteous, helpful and excellent Cafe very very clean Prices fair Choice quite varied and adapted to tasted and needs Try it... only a small frontage on the street so look out for it

Had a really lovely breakfast here. The prices were very reasonable and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Don't be fooled by how tiny this place looks from the outside - it goes back a long way! I can very much recommend it.

We saw a billboard for the cafe and followed it down the street, so glad we did, a nice clean small cafe in the centre of Cirencester serving fresh food at great prices. Service was quick and food tasted lovely with a good portion size. Catered for the children, who ate everything! Would definitely recommend!

Looking for brunch in Cirencester and found this place on Google maps. Lovely friendly smiling lady welcomed us in. Got to be the cleanest place we been into, no marks or smudges on menus and tables all spotlessly clean. Had our coffee very quickly, and good coffee by the way. Our order a short time later we had Old Cafe Breakfast and an English Breakfast off the menu, freshly cooked. Very well presented and hot. The sausage and bacon where delicious. We also had an extra coffee and a milkshake. The menu isnt huge, but there is a good choice with vegetarian options, lunch, and light meals but is priced very reasonably. Definitely worth a revisit and a real friendly hidden gem in Cirencester. Thankyou The Old Cafe it was lovely meal.

Passing through the area and searching for a place for breakfast, The Old Cafe came up on our search and we are so glad it did! We were served a fabulous, freshly cooked breakfast by lovely staff/owners which we enjoyed in the pretty cafe. A quick visit to the loo before leaving and impressed with the cleanliness. It was spotless. If you're in the area, pop by as you won't be disappointed.

Came across this family run cafe last weekend, ate there both mornings, the breakfasts were lovely, service was great. Very friendly. Food was hot and well cooked. Very reasonably priced. All tables cleared and cleaned as soon as people left. Wouldn't hesitate to go back if we were in the area.

Under new management from April 2022 good clean freshly cooked foods, breakfasts, lunches, dinners and a Sunday roast too, drinks and coffees, a simple menu done beautifully, fresh soft bread in the sandwiches, pleasant service, family operation with reasonable prices, open Sundays too. Well worth a visit just for a coffee and sandwich....

It was okay, tea was nice, service was great, very nice lady at the till, nice location. Everything was fine, then my mother was halfway through eating her beans and she found a long black hair in them... Needless to say we stopped eating and left. Sorry 😕

Great greasy spoon, good size portions and £7.95 for a full English breakfast.

Really nice cafe, shame to find pieces of plastic in my chicken burger, the disappointing thing was that the staff had little concern and still charged me full price. The plastic was not from the mayo or ketchup it was found in the burger and when eating it.

Thoroughly recommend The Old Cafe, food always good and piping hot, a real treat on a Sunday morning.

She just opened at 8.30am. We both just sat down at table, and she came over for order. My husband had Veggie Breakfast and I had Full English and two cups of coffee....there wasn't much of a wait. All I know is that we both left cafe Stuffed and enjoyed our food.

I am very partial to Eggs Benedict. Not enough places serve it for my liking. But the Old Cafe serves up one of the best classic versions I have had for a long long time. We also had a perfectly cooked well done bacon sandwich. Thoroughly recommended for classic breakfast food done well.

The old cafe is a truly wonderful cafe the food os cooked fresh good choices on the menu . The people who run the cafe are so friendly and chatty and nothing is to much trouble They don’t mind if you want to swop things on the menu ,if you want a nice clean place to eat that’s Good value for money head to the old cafe

This is a great find - well worth seeking out. The coffee is outstandingly good - the best in Cirencester - and very reasonably priced. Lunch was nicely cooked and generous. Staff were friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back.

Appalling service. EXTREMELY rude staff to myself and my very well behaved 9yo son. We waited at the allocated area, stood by the till. No other customers in the café. We were ignored and looked at like we had 2 heads by a rude lady staff member who when we were eventually asked our order ( two milk shakes to take away) she huffed, puffed and spoke in a different language i did not understand. She slammed the drinks about, didn't bother to measure the ingredients and failed to put some of the ingredients in. Pushed the milk towards the counter but far enough away that i couldn't safely reach it. Barked the cost and snatched the payment. Upon leaving and drinking the milkshake it was very clear that the milk was on the turn, very very water like and quite possibly the worst shake I'd ever had. It had no flavour at all. Just watery slight off milk. No strawberry or banana at all.

Just before the recent lockdown we popped to Cirencester for brunch. We found The Old Cafe and were greeted with friendly staff and a warm environment. Both the food and hot drinks were lovely and they were very accommodating with our 2 year old (they do have high chairs). We cant wait to go back and have an amazing breakfast again soon!

Visited here on a day out in Cirencester. We visited on the reviews posted on trip-adviser, and to be honest we would have walked past it, as small and nothing special from the outside. However once inside it was great, very clean and we all had a fabulous meal. The eggs Royal was beautiful. All food was freshly cooked and it certainly looks like it’s a favourite with the locals. Would definitely return!

Correct mais sans plus. Frites surgelés, repas très basique sans âme. Il pourrait y avoir un effort pour donner plus de goût et de saveur sans que cela coûte plus cher (abandonnez les frites surgelées au profit des frites maison serait déjà un plus). Serveuse à peine polie.
