Came to the Feathered Nest for afternoon tea for a friends’ special birthday. The food was stunning and was plentiful, even for my massive appetite! The waiters were attentive without being in our faces, gladly getting us extra drinks when we asked for them. The views from the seating outside are beautiful and we explored on foot on the local bridleways afterwards. I think the best scones we have both ever had, so buttery and light, yet a gorgeous crunch on the outside. Cakes were delicate and a real mixture of flavours, sandwiches fillings were delightful, the best smoked salmon I’ve ever had! Will be an afternoon tea I’m recommending to friends and family!

We went on a lovely sunny day for an experience, and the views from the terrace across the valley were great. Our table was for 1.30pm,but we got there at 1.10 for a pre meal drink and were shown to our table....... We got up and left at 3.20pm ( you do the maths) having had just one course !!!!! We sat and waited to be offered a desert but were'nt. I asked for the bill ,and they had added a service charge What cheek and I refused We got home in time for the football

The location is really nice, the food decent and nothing special (with those prices) , service too slow . We waited 1:40h to eat 3 plates of pasta and some meat !

Having booked for dinner on a Sunday night we then received an email to say that in July and August only a Pizza or Barbecue was available. We thought that this would be a lovely change. Unfortunately it wasn’t very well organised. It took ages for our drinks order to be taken and even longer for it to be delivered. We ordered a pizza to share as a starter and a burger and monkfish as a main. No sooner did we start eating our pizza than the burger and monkfish arrived! With the excuse that the chef put it on to cook too soon. We were at a small table for two and struggled to fit all the food onto it as well as our drinks. Eating as fast as we could before everything went cold. It wasn’t a warm evening and everyone had to be provided with blankets to try and keep warm. The idea sounded good but the execution of it was sadly lacking. We couldn’t bare to wait for a pudding so called it a day and asked for the bill. A not insignificant £145!

Everything about the feathered nest is fantastic, beautiful room, wonderful setting looking out at beautiful countryside. We had the tasting menu with accompanying wines, every dish was delicious and perfectly presented the wines were amazing. The staff were very attentive and made us feel so welcome - thankyou we will be back soon x

Very disappointing. On arrival the gentleman behind the bar was indifferent to the point of being rude. I had to ask for a menu twice and he finally arranged for someone else to deliver one. Both the bar area and the restaurant were cold. The food was average at best. My starter of heritage tomatoes was good but my wife’s main was over salted. My steak was well cooked but lacked flavour. When I mentioned this to the waiter he said he would tell the chef but didn’t seem to care about any comments. Overall not a good experience at all.

We had a lovely meal on a rare night off (we both work in hospitality). Monkfish starter was so delicious. Fish and chips main course probably the best I have had anywhere. Lovely IPA beer and attentive but not over-bearing service. Value for money for so much well prepared dishes in a lovely setting.

We ordered a champagne but it never arrived and had to ask 30minutes later where it was... We wanted the tasting menu and were pescatarian (we had stated this in our reservation prior) I am not fond of Cauliflower and requested a dish change but the chef had instructed the waiter to say NO he would not substitute a dish... If Gordon Ramsay had said this, then I wouldn't had said anything, but a restaurant not even holding a Michelin star and to be so snobby not to cater for simple requests... unbelievable!!! Please don't waste your money and dine here... The Cotswolds have so many beautiful and exciting places to eat.. this isn't one of them... The cauliflower arrived infant of me.. it wasn't nice

A beautiful location in a small village. The views from the restaurant are beautiful. Upon entering the restaurant on a cold November lunchtime we were greeted by the smell and warmth of an open log fire. We were shown to our table which provided us with a wonderful view. We started with warm fresh bread and two types of butter - excellent. The main courses were all very well prepared, presented and tasted lovely. While portions may seem a little small, they were more than enough. The menu was different to the “run of the mill” menu for places such as this and it was very well received by all of us. Deserts were all lovely as was the desert wine recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and the service and attention to detail were excellent. It is a beautiful establishment and well worth a visit.

We have been to this lovely inn so many times , loved every visit and personally promoted it to our friends and family as well as taken so many of our friends for meals. we visited recently for my wife's birthday on November 5th . The service was excellent as usual but unfortunately the food standard was definitely not up to the usual standard, so much so I felt the need to contact the inn directly with my disappointment rather than posting an ill gained bad review (as some seem to have done). Upon mailing directly I duly received a prompt reply from Adam to apologise and a free round of drinks were offered on my next return (ha ha ha as if I need a free drink). Surprisingly today 11/11/23 some days after I replied I don't need a free drinks thx and Ill give it another go I received a direct mail from Adam accusing me of posting two bad reviews under another names . I have nothing to hide, my name is Paul and this is my handle under Meseta coffee . So Adam get off my back and don't be so RUDE !!!!! For Anyone reading this I have always had excellent service and superb food from this inn and my suspicion that the chef had changed because the change was so dramatic , consequently I contacted them directly . Yes its expensive , I never questioned this . You only get what you pay for and 99.9% of the time you get value for money

Been many times as live reasinably close. Unfortunately head chef has left and quality does not now equal price point. We loved this restaurant and willing to pay extra but no more. For £32 sunday roast expectation is hih but experience was poor. Basically 50 mins to get main and then warm and now back to what you get at most pubs. The new head chef cannot even cook roast potatos without requiring a steak knife to cut. Lastky the older waitress needs to retire she had a terrible attitude when my wife asked what had changed since visit 2 weeks before as experience had deteriorated. Manager was pleasant and we passed on our thoughts as really keen to see this back to previous standard but for now way overpriced for quality presented.

This restaurant offers excellent meat dishes which are , however, overpriced. The co-served vegetables are of limited quality. One of the waitresses should be briefed what the terms service and politeness mean. PS The formal review will follow

Had a lovely weekend away here, staying bed & breakfast and also dining both evenings in the restaurant. The room, staff, views, location and breakfast were wonderful! The quality toiletries, coffee maker in the room, super soft bedding made this feel like a luxurious stay. Our only real gripe was the very long wait for food both nights. I can only imagine they are understaffed in the kitchen? Some of the more expensive items on the menu were not perfect and for the price you’d expect perfection. Example- the venison dish was much too sweet, like dinner with your pudding! Overall a good 4 out of 5. Could easily be a 5 with a sharper service & a few menu tweaks.

Amazing food and great serve. Wonderful restaurant in a country setting with lovely views over the Cotswolds. The atmosphere is warm and friendly.

This was a long awaited get together. Made so very special by the wonderful care and attention given by Adam and his excellent team. Everyone was amazed by the spectacular views as we enjoyed pre dinner drinks on the terrace. The food was absolutely incredible, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and were blown away by the whole evening. A very special place made even more special by the wonderful team. Thankyou so much.

We stopped here for lunch and only ordered fish & chips, which were just your run of the mill standard pub grub so I can’t really comment on any fine dining 🤷🏼‍♀️ but the grounds and location were really lovely and I’d definitely return for a few drinks on those grounds.

We had both Sunday lunch and Monday night dinner. The lunch was one of the best we have ever had, one very rare beef and the other pork. Excellent selection of vegetables. For dinner we had the lamb 3 ways which was perfect followed by delicious desserts.

A great spot for a great dining experience, good atmosphere nice garden, large car park and the menu was far beyond average, recommend the duck parfit, we both had fish and chips and both agreed best we have ever had, the staff vet friendly and welcoming.

The accommodation is brilliant. Our room was beautiful, extremely clean, with a huge and very comfortable bed! We have stayed at The Feathered Nest since it opened and they have continued to maintain the highest standards in all respects. The food and service are outstanding. We look forward to our next visit.

Okay so I won’t lie, we WERE looking for a cheap roast as finally we have time off together as our working diaries never sync. Had a trip to bourton on water and this was a stop on way home. Warned the husband we might not get in, as we drive up saw a customer leaving in a Rolls Royce so thought okay not on a budget! 🤣beautiful stunning area and was just in awe! I’m from Brighton Sussex and husband is Romanian and we love good food and views. So we walk in and knew in the pouring rain we’re underdressed but whoa! Good afternoon sir and madam was what we were presented with! It’s all about looking after me in my opinion. Ordered some drinks was told 10/15min wait. More like 5mins! Our drinks were carried for us to our table another tick for me! Started looking at the menu oh yes the husband picked a good one again but not on our budget as planned but thought we had to cancel our Gibraltar holiday celebrating our anniversary so what the hell! He picked the roast beef and I asked if possible (chefs aren’t keen on us vegetarians!) if I could have the roast but have the roasted cauliflower instead? Yes you can! Will ask chef but I know they should say yes! They did! Woo hoo! We received canopies and said we didn’t order them???? Oh apologies madam sir chef likes to give you these! Okay so now I’m really feeling looked after. It’s all about how you look after me! Our food came along and I knew I wouldn’t be able to eat it all but I had a good try. Now apologies Michelin star food I like lots of gravy so I did ask and thankfully another yes! Again just my opinion I would have preferred slightly less aldente vegetables but yay!!! All good seasoned! Sick of unseasoned food in restaurants! Was very impressed with the roasted cauliflower as previous places have used too much spice etc this was yummy! Had to start looking up the rooms and looking at rest of the hotel thinking stunning place everything about it has been done so lovely thoughtful etc beautiful views! I didn’t care it was raining looked amazing! I can understand why other reviews aren’t bowled over as all they’re looking at is the price and not the overall setting food and venue.
