Always had the best pasties but sadly the pastie cellar is no more -the building has been sold - no doubt in keeping with all other recent Polzeath developments- into over priced fugly rental properties. The chip shop that used to be next door has gone too.

What a hidden gem is this place..Hidden away behind the parade of shops by the Spa grocery. Up the new recently tarmac drive to the dead end of Valley Caravan Park. We have visited this establishment every year and always a lovely welcome by the boss lady . Good beer, nice choice of Merlot wine 🍷. The chilli, cheese chips we all ordered was one of the best meals we have eaten all week .. and £9.00 ! Elsewhere wound of been £16!!. Nice choice of menu and a excellent choice of vegan and vegetarian meals such maybe the boss is veggie? Great all round establishment , everyone friendly and chatty . Worth finding out at the beginning of your hols I’d say 👍

Another wonderful dinner, thanks Alex and Kelly and the team! Some lovely fresh and cooked oysters to start. Super tasty little dishes, with the excellent turbot main, all washed down delightfully, with a lovely bottle of Harlyn wine from just a few miles away.

This was our second visit and we were blown away again with the whole experience. The food was to die for, from presentation to attention to detail, the service and overall dining experience. Would highly recommend and we can't wait until we next dine with you, thank you so much

Great food, very well looked after by the staff. We return here to the hotel every January and will continue to do so! Thank you!

We have been to Rock several times but hadn’t been to the Rock Inn. We arrived for lunch after a 5 hour journey and it was just what we needed. Relaxed, great view, nice service and good food. Nothing fancy but spot on. I loved my nachos with chilli which came with sour cream and salsa on the side.We will definitely come back.Eat on the terrace, weather permitting to enjoy the fabulous view.

Absolutely disgusting service. Waited 45mins past our booking time in a little library room and were completely forgotten about. Asked a waitress twice before asking for the manager and she was no help at all. Just rolled her eyes and said "obviously we're busy and will get you in when we can" as though we'd casually walked in. Took 2 members of staff to open our wine and didn't receive it until halfway through the main course. By the time our dessert order was taken we were the only table left in the restaurant and still had to ask for cutlery to be brought to us. When my wife tried to suggest service had been poor we were told "well we've had 'celebrity' chefs in tonight and they all left happy". So thanks. Good to know you only offer good service if you recognise a name. We WON'T be returning!!!!!

Superb view. Excellent food. Exemplary service! The Upper Deck is a great place to eat and have a drink in rock. What a location overlooking the entire Camel Bay over to Padstow. Ophelia and Claire are a brilliant hospitality team - other restaurants/pubs take note! The menu has something for everyone and all very reasonably priced. Our drinks and food arrived promptly - with a smile…how refreshing!! And superb meals they were too! Highly recommended AAAAA

Had dinner here last night with friends, a lovely village, locals pub with exceptional food. Between us we had the ducking, beef casserole and steak, all very good, plenty of flavour and well presented. Service was good, as made to feel very welcome and welcome from moment we stepped through the door. A great experience and great value for money.

I will start by saying the restaurant did reduce our bill and throw in a few free extras but we were very surprised by the quality and portioning of the food. At the time the cafe was very quiet but the staff seemed a little bit chaotic. Orders not being put through properly, items missed off and not knowing what beer they had available. A couple of us ordered the chicken burger (£13) and my son had the kids version (£8.50) but his came with chips. I was pretty shocked when we both received exactly the same sized portion. A small bun, 1/2 a small chicken fillet and one piece of lettuce, not exactly worth £13. The staff did even comment that they there was an issue but still felt it was fine to serve and just expect people to pay. The pizzas were but ok but again surprised when we we charged £3 for 2-3 sliced olives as an extra. We've eaten at many other places up and down the coast and based on our experience we would not return.

Best Pub In Cornwall!. Rachel and her team are friendly, welcoming and hospitable. The pub is authentic, picturesque and has lots of nocks and crannies. The beer is very good and the food is varied and well prepared. There is a lovely terrace overlooking the harbour, which is a real sun trap in the afternoon.

Wonderful fish and chips this evening. Lightly battered hake and perfectly done chips. Excellent portion sizes for both. Well worth a visit.
