We had been 3 ti.mes before the experience we had last week. We had always been in the resteraunt but this time 5 of us was put on a tiny table in the corner of the bar..lt wasn't comfortable leaving at all.The staff were friendly but we asked for water 3 times and never got it We had been raving about the pub to our family but this time we were disappointed. We were going to book 20th Oct for an occasion but have de cided to go somewhere else just in case. We will come again but on our own. Such a shame as we loved it before.

We stopped here for lunch and had a lovely experience. It was so lovely to support an independent business. We had a lovely warm welcome. The gentleman was very accommodating and offered a milk alternative for our hot drinks which were delicious. The food options offered in the menu were vast and diverse, it was so lovely to see vegans/vegetarians/dairy intolerances had been catered for. The food came out fresh and quick. They were generous portions. I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken, cranberry and lettuce sandwich and my friend loved her cheese ploughman's and the homemade coleslaw. The cafe had friendly staff and good toilet facilities. It is well decorated and had a cosy vibe. It was popular with locals but visitors to Bodmin like us were very welcomed. Thank you for making our visit really enjoyable. We would recommend Pots to anyone.

Visited for Sunday lunch having read all the positive reviews. What a disappointment, poorly cooked and small portions. The chicken and beef seemed as though it had come from a packet especially the beef it was wafer thin and certainly not hand carved from a joint. Cauliflower cheese was too hard to cut into. Dry roast potatoes.

Lovely tea and coffee, however, stupid layout and unhelpful staff. Queued where it said queue here, and after ordering went to sit down at a table by the counter, then aggressive lady came up and said you can't sit there if you ordered from that counter as that's takeaway only, and the tables belong to the cafe in the next room, asked for upgrade/ to pay the difference so we could sit down, she said they're completely different businesses so that's not possible, but it's really not clear at all as the tables are all in the room next to the big counter which doesn't say takeaway only. She said she doesn't make the rules and she's always telling the staff to ask if it's for takeaway or eat in.... Not good, rubbish start to the day. Sort it out guys!

This restaurant used to combine a charming, historic setting with a wide menu of hearty food (the cauliflower cheese was world class) but now the bill of fare is on a par with an average roadside café: Pasties, beans on toast, jacket potatoes etc. The staff are as friendly as before, but the magic has gone.

Carvery was not good I ordered a nut roast when I went to get it the chap serving the meat was so rude said I haven't got one did you order it I said yes with the waitress 15 mins before he said well you will have to wait the potatoes were that hard you couldn't cut into them (needed a chainsaw )The sprouts were hard so was the broccoli overall very dissapointing and definitely NOT WORTH THE MONEY 😡😡😡🤮

For £6.75 for a dry no condiments chicken burger (with no chips and instead hash browns as they didn't have chips). Appalling. There are 4 staff in the kitchen across the counter, serving and kitchen. Plenty to perform the basic task. I would have expected at least mayo in the chicken burger. Whilst they also didn't have chips, they also didn't have sausages. Considering that half their menu has either sausages (breakfast) or chips it's a bit of a sad attempt. At best this was worth £3. No way was it worth £6.75.
