This little hotel is surprisingly good. I wouldn’t say it’s a top notch boutique hotel like some with sumptuous bed linen, fluffy towels and quirky nick nacks. Granted there is miss match furniture, but you can tell every effort is made to keep this hotel clean and spotless. I wouldn’t say say it’s only the little things that let it down like a very old toilet brush in my bath room, some of the grouting just needs whitening and up in a corner of the ceiling the paint is peeling. My bed is comfy. It’s a very spacious room too. Gad a lovely warm bath. The shower wasn’t very powerful but still did the job of washing my hair. It’s a great place to stay as a base and easy visiting the surrounding villages, Cotswolds, Gloucester and near by Cheltenham. This evening I popped to the Dunkerton Cider Park. Such a lovely vibe as soon as you walk in with lots of different food stalls bars, and a bakery, deli shop on site selling hand made fresh artisan products and ciders wines. There even had a band on. Have to say for a one nights stay without breakfast was £57 as I’m solo travelling. Their restaurant menu has ample choice. Definitely worth staying. But don’t expect the higher end boutique hotels in this hotel and I definitely recommend anyone staying here.

When the Tivoli first changed hands, my partner and I visited and found the service a bit slow, though the food was excellent and the atmosphere was fantastic. Since then, we’ve been coming regularly for the past month or so, and the experience has only improved! The staff have become much more efficient, service times are much quicker, and the food remains absolutely top-notch. We love having it as our new local, and if you haven’t tried it yet, it’s definitely worth a visit. Even on nights when there’s only one staff member working, the service is still excellent. Highly recommend!

We popped in Saturday afternoon with the kids expecting to be turned away without a booking and with our noisy pair of 6 year olds in tow…! However, with much pleasant surprise a few hours late we were third cocktail in having dined deliciously in the sun-drenched main room and had the perfect Saturday afternoon all round! Thank you! The passion fruit martini’s are a must!

Don't bother with the golf here, a once lovely 18 holes golf course has been reduced to just 9 very average holes by the current owners, whilst all the "newer clubby" things cost a fortune.......trying to bring all the Londoners who have 2nd and 3rd homes here I suspect. Avoid!

Visited for the first time today for brunch. We had pre-booked food (as we were a larger table), which was quick to arrive. We weren't told that drinks orders were made via the qr code however this was explained and apologised for after gaining the attention of a member of staff.

Very disappointed! Food was dreadful! We went for a Valentines lunch. The chicken 'crispy' salad sandwich was awful. One slither of dry over cooked chicken a piece of fatty cold bacon with 2 ginormous lettuce leaves with inches of mayo! Dreadful! On a watery plate. We were charged £12 for that too! Real let down as the pub and bar staff were amazing. Gone downhill since new owners have taken over sadly!

We rented a cottage for the week and were really happy to see this pub at an easy walking distance, so we booked our first meal, Sunday roast, a month in advance. Not knowing the place, we kindly asked a table close to the fire, as it is February and I run cold. Once we arrived, it took a good 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, and were then sent to a tiny separate freezing space. The window in the room was broken, and it was truly freezing. We ordered the roast, my husband is vegan, which we advised at the time of booking, and they still tried to deter us from ordering the only vegan option as 'it takes about 25 mins'. Whilst we were waiting I asked if we could be moved, due to the very cold spot, and was just offered another spot in another window, when I said "we asked to be by the fire, I understand that may not always be possible, but is there anything warmer?" I was just told "no" with an annoyed face. The food was OK, my meat was cold but the cauliflower (ordered separately) was actually nice. But I would not bother going back even though we are here for the rest of the week. Could and would definitely not recommend it. It's the cotswolds, and you can surely find a better place.
