The best restaurants serving British food in Cheltenham South West

Cosy atmosphere shared with friends and family for a Christmas drink before heading home again for Christmas Dinner. An excellent way to start off the festivities.

Kind of devastated for Premier Inn's decision to stop dinner and lunch at this beefeater. The staff were always great and the food amongst the best for Beefeaters. It was also really the only proper eat-in restaurant within easy walking distance from us. It's still open to the public for drinks. Breakfast also still available. Hope previous serving staff are OK.

Food is consistently fresh and tasty, especially the home made steak pie, when it is on the specials board. The Sunday roast carvery is fabulous and worth every penny. Always busy, so booking a table is a must.

Had great service at soho the atmosphere and the staff was very polite especially Jake as he serve me very polite and care about his job you can also tell he is passionate about his job role will be coming again as the serve was good

Called in for drinks with friends. Busy pub even mid week. Friendly service and reasonable range of beer on tap. They were even good enough to seek us out and tell us we had left the lights on.

Staff ate always great and the food is great too.

Delicious kebab, loyalty stamps definitely help save. Best kebab shop in Cheltenham. Would recommend.

Service was fraught, waited over 20 minutes for order. Portion size of large chips was terrible and chips were obviously from the bottom of the basket, hard small overcooked! Fish was under cooked in that the batter was soggy and raw! All in all, very poor for £20!! We will definitely not be visiting again

Such a cozy atmosphere! Came here with coworkers to have a pint, get some food, and watch the euros game and it was a perfect place for all three. The starter platters were amazing and I would highly recommend getting a few for the table. I loved my fish and chips and I heard the other meals were good as well.

10 of us arrived to watch the rugby. We had booked a table. What a great decision. The manager was outstanding as well as the staff , the food was great , all brought out together , sorted all the drinks out with different payments, great atmosphere and great screens for the sorts. Would 100% recomend . Thank you

We were at Andi Oliver’s book launch about her traditional cooking , there were 165 covers all being served at more or less the same time and you could tell as everything was overcooked or dried out , there was also a “service” charge added to our bottle of wine, the girl didn’t know how to do it without……they didn’t pour the wine so no actual “service” we were lucky enough to have a banquet seat but others were perched on barstools on small high tables !
