Naunton Downs Golf Club in Cheltenham

Met with golf pals and partners for Christmas lunch. Really nice food and service - Turkey, Christmas pudding or lemon meringue or chocolate brownie. All good.

Lovely area for a golf club, course is excellent and the bar and food is very good too. Pro shop and gold lessons are available for beginners and those who wish to improve.

Stopped for a quick coffee and bap after golf. Food really lovely with crisp bacon and runny egg. All good. Tip - don't bother with the salad! :-)

My previous review made a long time ago could now usefully be deleted as the quality of the food at this club has improved beyond any expectations. The soups are excellent and other users have expressed their pleasure at the flavour and quality. Baguettes and the other light meals are well cooked and nicely presented with a reasonable daily choice to enjoy after the strain of the golf!! I I note too that while the prices of drinks have increased in other nearby establishments the bar prices have remained static for some while. One local pub charged me £9.35 for a 175 glass of white wine and a pint of bitter. The comfort of the bar area is much increased with good chairs etc. Golf societies thinking of playing the excellent Naunton Course will be pleased with the food on offer and the caterers are always happy to discuss and plan a menu with the organiser.
