Lovely fresh food . Fish lovely. Well behaved and dry dogs welcome. Outside and inside seating and an over spill indoors if needed . £13 for fresh Mackerel with sides and we felt well worth it .

Nipped in here to try the snack boxes last week. Helped myself to hot food, a jacket spud and salad and the food was great. Home made Moussaka, Pasta Salads all very tasty. Loved the idea of picking exactly what I wanted and in what quantities. The only restriction was to fit it in the bowl. Great food, friendly staff - will definitely return and recommend to others.

Having left Casamia we were escorted to The Shop and ordered the tasting menu and some great wine. We were lucky to have exceptional service from everyone and this was matched by food that was not what we were expecting. Each tasting bettered the last. The bread that started the meal had a great aroma and the taste was, for us, stunning. A Pollock app was surprisingly tasty and called for more. Topping the meal was a fantastic bottle of red wine. The restaurant is not large and we sat with a view of the pizza oven that produced a great pizza. Thanks to all for a wonderful time. I apologize for not remembering our servers name as she was great and helped make the evening.

Una gran selección de sabrosas salchichas disponibles y sorprendentes patatas dauphinoise. Siempre es el mismo que sirve, es muy amigable y está feliz de ofrecerle porciones más pequeñas si no tiene mucho apetito. Solamente efectivo.

Fantastic! A hidden gem here in Bristol. A quaint restaurant with an easy atmosphere but a VERY high standard on both service and food. You can get the passion that is put into the food by chef Raffaela, who we were very privileged to meet and talk to which showed her ethos even clearer. The high standard of food was only matched by the fantastic wine pairing and staff. Attentive and very knowledgeable but not overbearing, very professional but makes for an easy going atmosphere. We've been privileged to eat in many high level restaurants around the country but if you can, don't miss out on this West country gem. Don't miss out, book today! We've already rebooked for Feb, it's that good!!

Would definitely recommend to anyone. We had a wonderful time here for an anniversary dinner. The food was really good and we enjoyed that we were given time with each dish to finish it before moving on. As they're sharing plates, it was nice to not have several dishes at once. They had run out of the wine we wanted but we're suggested another bottle which was good. Service was great once it was underway, there were 2 large tables finishing as we arrived which took some time to complete.

I have not had this good a burger since the 70's. Had the Tribute. Well seasoned and great tasting beef. The coleslaw and Rosemary chips were excellent accompaniments. Atmosphere was friendly and lively and great local beers. Nice, efficient staff Will definitely visit again next time we are in Bristol.

Really friendly staff who were very professional and helped make our meal that more enjoyable. The food options was the main reason for booking here and it didn’t disappoint, I even tried oysters for the first time… We will be back again soon. 5*

We often visit the Shakespeare for drinks but decided to eat here after work. We sat in the quaint upstairs dining area. The food was superb - Salt & Pepper squid, tasty with a lovely light batter - Duck Hash - the meat was very tender and fell off the bone - Fishcakes - homemade and tasty with a great sized salad. - Seasoned Fries - amazing taste to the seasoning The staff were lovely and friendly with brilliant service. It was the best food we had eaten out for a while. Looking forward to the next time already!

After discovering this "hidden gem" last year we were desperate to introduce it to our student daughter . What a let down! Whilst the the carrot cake was deemed good both the Guiness cake and Croissant cake failed to delight. In both cases it was like eating a slab of cold clay ! Stodgy, heavy slices of what simply could not be described as cake. The lesson learnt? Stick to more traditional offerings, as being adventurous completely backfired on this occasion!
