Wow the biggest sandwich I’ve ever seen or eaten. We saw it had got Instagram famous so gave it a go. To be honest it was probably too big but the sausage roll was amazing

We were a very hungry family with our dog when we set off to find this incredible sandwich shop and this place did not disappoint! We had a jerk chicken salad, a sweet potato hash sandwich and a bit of marmite toast for the child. All of their fillings are made in their shop’s.. including the sauces which are 👌👌👌 Gf bread available too. The staff are great and the grub is even better! ITS A FEAST!

The best sandwich and cheesecake I’ve ever had and the girls were fantastic and really friendly! I’m excited now for the cracking looking scotch egg and pie I bought for dinner, I will be back as much as I can ❤️

Saw all the great reviews so went at 1.45pm on a Friday lunchtime to miss the mad lunchtime rush, because I wanted to be able to see the choices and decide, without holding office people up. They had already run out of bread. Ordered 2 flatbreads as an alternative but when we paid we were charged a pound extra for each, we weren't told about the extra charge until it was too late. Felt a bit conned by that (maybe that's why they dont worry about running out of bread) It was freezing outside so we wanted to eat in, but they blocked off the sit down bit and started cleaning it so we had to stand up at the counter to eat whilst they cleaned. It wasn't as if we'd wandered in 5 minutes before closing! It was still actually really busy because the food is lovely, but why advertise opening hours until 3pm then only order enough bread to last half the day, and why close off the eating in part, an hour before closing? The staff were really rushing you to order, and trying to get you to buy the last of the cakes, and throwing some of the food in the bin and cleaning up, so I think they were just wanting an early finish and to get home early. We went in the pub opposite and when we came out they'd completely closed and it wasn't even 2.45pm! Lovely food but they need to work on the customer service!

Popped in to the Queens road shop to get a couple of sandwiches to enjoy on our car journey up to the midlands. Came out absolutely stinking of grease, my coat, my hair. As soon as I got in the car my husband’s smelt it too. We didn’t eat the sandwiches I purchased as was concerned about the hygiene of the place. I will not go again. Disgusting!

All of my experiences at Sandwich Sandwich on Cotham Road have been absolutely awful. The food remains delicious however the customer service is appalling. It seems to be the same woman every time which serves customers in this said shop. My colleagues and I enjoy going to this particular branch as it is round the corner from our work, however we will not be returning due to the passive aggressive service from what seems to be the only employee in this shop. It is not the first time that I or my colleagues have been patronised and snapped at by this woman. She answers questions in the most unprofessional manner, has sarcasm in her tone, speaks down on you and makes the whole experience extremely uncomfortable and unenjoyable. I feel awful and belittled after having been served by this woman after every time I have purchased a sandwich from that branch. I am a loyal customer of Sandwich Sandwich, however after that customer service, I will not be returning, nor will my colleagues.

Scotch eggs some of the best I have had. The sandwiches were so big I left the egg for later. The filling was the biggest \I have ever had and the reason there are queues at lunchtime into the street.

I had an amazing sandwich from here, full of great flavours and a complete meal in itself. It's good to see that this place lives up to the saying 'only the generous make a sandwich worth eating' as this was 95% filling 5% bread. Very enjoyable and whilst it's not the cheapest place to get a sarnie, you won't regret it.

Honestly the best sandwiches ever. The staff are always super friendly making you feel welcome. They are helpful in letting you pick the best treat. The brownie is also a show stopper!

Today was a strange one! We had bacon sandwiches delivered to our office after the company I work for, ranked in the Sunday Times top 100 again. Sandwich Sandwich do INCREDIBLE sandwiches so I was looking forward to this. I opened my perfectly wrapped sandwich and checked it out. Bread was good, good amount of bacon, all the usuals. I took a bite, the first bite is always hard because sometime you get hit with everything and sometimes, nothing. This time I had nice bacon taste but then a weird aftertaste, not unpleasant but weird, what was it? After a few more bites and collaboration with others we worked out, it was a curry taste, like a coronation chicken taste. After this point it was hard to taste anything else, had they used a knife or something that was in the coronation chicken? Had they cooked the bacon in a spiced pan? Was this an accident or intentional? Half the sandwiches were ‘normal’ and half were curried. Your sandwiches are amazing but I had to score it as is was, so sorry guys the sandwich rated as a 6, the bacon was over cooked and the curry taste was really really odd.

Great little pit stop , there is a loading bay outside so a good place to pull in. The food is fresh and interesting. Very good coffee, There are a couple of tables outside on fine days, a good look out point to look out for the local traffic wardens as they spread joy to one and all

It well worth a visit for something a little bit more than an ordinary sandwich, the selection and choice is vast and the quality of produce is very good. This makes for a really nice lunch and they are also not stingy with the amount of filling. There are some lovely cakes and other specials which are always very tasty. The staff all seem quite pleasant in their and are perfectly friendly. The only negatives are that the premises are a little scruffy and the prices are actually quite expensive. I’m never left with the feeling that I have bought something premium for these reasons.

I find the current manager Jo and her staff (Caroline, Holly, Yelena and Annabel) to be lovely, friendly and helpful and of course hard-working. The service and food is top quality. The range of food is wide to cater for someone like me who has particular needs regarding foods I can eat. I would also like give a mention to the previous manager Shoona who was lovely and hard-working too. Thanks Martin

Every month when we get paid me and my boyfriend go there as a little naughty treat. The food is amazon and great value for money, we always create our own flatbread and this is something I 100% recommend. The people working there are so friendly and welcoming and its just a great atmosphere in there.

An absolutely brilliant sandwich shop. Service is always with a smile and the quality of food is outstanding. Step aside empty supermarket sandwiches, enter fully packed sandwiches with fantastic fillings. Go here most days for lunch and am never left disappointed; it is a veritable pleasure. Thank you!

This is a fabulous sandwich shop with amazing cakes I had the veggie flat bread so filling. Love it and if people want good food near the hospital I can not recommend this place more.

My morning is always improved by a smile and a good coffee. The service here is excellent and you can count on friendly face. The food is great, there's always loads to choose from and the Scotch Eggs can't be beaten.

Tanto diferentes combinaciones de ingredientes que lo hace tan único y delicioso! ! También tuvimos el placer de conocer al propietario hoy que fue muy agradable y muy amable (me dio un brownie gratis! ! Para cualquiera) pensando hacer una visita que no te decepcionará:).

Este es un café maravilloso parar en una llevar (o en) Almuerzo con algo para todos los gustos. Hacen sus propios huevos whisky escocés, que mi hijo va a disfrutar pronto. El vegetariano slice (Ienjoyed ligeramente picante).

I went here today and had an amazing jerk chicken flatbread filled with lots of lovely salad. Was served by the owner, Anita, who was extremely friendly! Will definitely go here again very soon!

Been here many times over the last couple of weeks as it's close to Bristol uni, love it! The lunch deal is cheap and the service is so much better than cafe Gusto, it's worth the extra walk.

really yummy sandwiches with great vegetarian options (they've even got a vegetarian scotch egg, which was delicious!). The woman who was serving was so friendly, too. Really started off my day in a great way.

Our car broke down so we popped in while waiting for the tow truck. The range of food and the service was absolutely delightfull! We chose amazing vegan fillings and all left satisfied. She even through in some delicious peanut butter cookies for free! All in all, we would definitely de-tour there again in the future for another lovely sandwich. Thanks a lot!

I can't recommend this sandwich shop enough for a breakfast treat. Great sausage and bacon crammed inside a nice soft baguette with tomato sauce was exactly what I wanted this morning and they didn't disappoint. I can't say the coffee was amazing so I'd advise looking elsewhere if it's just coffee you're after.

I always opt for the chicken coronation on granary with piles of fresh spinach leaves. Really tasty every time. Then I get the free cinnamon whirl (when available) to go with my afternoon cuppa! Very popular daily as often a queue out the door.

Great, friendly service and lovely, hot or cold deep-filled sandwiches, lush cakes, salads and quiche-type things. From the basics like ham and cheese, beef and tomato, to the more exotic hummus, falafel and roast Mediterranean veg. On baguette, baps, bread or brioche. All the B's. Closes at 3pm.

Is so how I can say how amazing this place is. It will always get 5 stars from me. The food is consistently wonderful and the staff are always friendly.

Millie the manager and her assistant Hannah give really personal service for the quality of food and excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend this sandwich shop.

This place offers traditional sandwiches with a modern twist - every combination is a perfect blend of unique flavours (my favourite being the spicy jerk chicken). There is also an excellent choice of cakes, pastries and salads. Very generous portions for a reasonable price (10% discount if you have a NHS card).

A few weeks ago, I wrote a 5 star review of this sandwich place. Unfortunately, I went in today and had a rather bad experience. I ordered a sandwich featured on the board, and when the -- obviously new - chap was halfway through making it, the other (younger, fair haired) chap said in an offhand way, "Oh, we don't have any hollandaise" (an essential ingredient.) So I changed my order, and the new (older) guy kept doing his best to provide what I wanted, but unfortunately, he couldn't hear me over the loud music. After we'd been going back and forth a few times, he suggested to the other guy (who I guess was in charge) that they might turn it down, but the other guy just ignored him. So I ended up, after shouting my order several times, with something which was ALMOST what I wanted, but not quite. (I couldn't bear to shout it yet again, and to see another lot of bread/ingredients thrown out.) So on paying, I told the younger guy, "It's quite hard to talk over the music." He said, without expression, "Duly noted." But he did nothing, and clearly had no intention of doing anything. All in all, it felt like poor service and a bit insulting. If he told me that other customers really like the music, then fine. But I think it was actually just playing for him, as I doubt others will want to shout over it any more than I do. And it was clearly making the new guy's life more difficult. So I do hope this is a one-off aberration, as this has been up to now my favourite sandwich place in all of Bristol, and I'd really hate to see it go downhill.

Excellent selection of sandwiches, baguettes, wraps and fillings, salad, baked bits and bobs. A hidden gem in Cotham. Great flavours going on, provided by a chef with a ery solid palette. Would like to see these guys expand.

The service, variety and quality of the sandwiches, salads and cakes is top notch! There are ELEVEN sandwich places which I can walk to within 5 minutes of my office, and this one is head and shoulders above the rest. And also better than all those on Park Street.

Love their salad boxes and their hummus and falafel flatbread. The service is really friendly and portions are generous!

This sandwich shop is my favorite sandwich place! The sandwich combinations are all made up by the owner and I have never been disappointed. The best one in my opinion is the one with falafel and hummus. Besides their great sandwiches they also have a lot of other things, like tarts, salads, scotch eggs, and cakes. Really high quality

I was recommended this sandwich shop as i worked in a one for 5 years and i am a self confessed food snob. I went in this shop today and it was amazing! The selection of fresh sandwich fillings and beautiful tarts, cakes and even better, the scotch eggs! All made by the owner! I was so impressed i would recommend this place to anyone! And i already have via facebook lol.

We quite often go to this shop. The choices for sarnies is wide. I'm always stuck between two. I like the fact they make the sandwiches in front of you, asking what you would like from the wide variety of salads etc. which bread would you like?... I'm always looking at their menu for the next time. The staff are always cheerful and talkative. It's nice and clean too. You can eat outside, take it away or sit at the window and watch the world going by. Nice little place.

Hands down the best sandwich shop in Bristol. Unlike most sandwich shops, the ingredients are top quality and don't seem like they are out of a packet. The staff are all friendly and very accommodating especially to those who need steering in the right direction when stumped by the delicious menu choices. I recommend the Roxy 2.0 wrap.

My wife had a freshly cooked wrap, while I had a small salad box. the range of salad ingredients you can choose from is quite extensive.My only concern about the place is that they have some lovely-looking cakes on top of the counter which are not covered, and customers are breathing all over them.

have been going to this shop or a while as very local to work, wont be going there again. since other staff members have left, things have gone down hill rapidly and the prices are overly expensive. The shop doesn't appear as clean as it once was and in the space of ten minutes that I was waiting I heard them say they were out of almost everything that was ordered. I ordered a prawn salad sandwich. there was so much cheap margarine tasting slop in there I had to use a piece of cucumber to scrape it out, disgusting. I have had better prawn sandwiches from services stations on the m5. the service was extremely slow and the whole sandwich was bland and badly made. I wont be going there again. for nearly a fiver I expect a lot better

I went in for the first time this morning for coffee and a quick breakfast. The food was really really bad. Since someone else mentioned poor weekday service, that was not great either. I walked in, said hello, and said i'd like coffee while looking around for the drinks menu. The girl at the counter said "ok" and went back to chopping...it was only when I found a menu and ordered a specific drink that she stopped to help me.I asked her for a suggestion of a vegetarian breakfast that could be made quickly and she suggested mushroom and eggs on toast. She seemed the whole time like I was interrupting her but it is early on a Wednesday so I don't expect much in the way of customer service.THE FOOD: I should have said something when I saw her take the mushroom AND egg out of the refrigerator, pick some bits out, and put it in the microwave. A few minutes later she put it on some toast (so I thought) and I paid and left.When I got to work I found that the toast wasn't even toasted! Pictures to show the untoasted bread and egg that was mummified from the microwave. The whole sandwich tasted of sausage grease, i'm pretty sure she just picked the sausage out.Overall: super gross, threw most of it out.

The sandwiches are good, and generously filled. If you can face the long queues at the weekend, you'll be greeted by friendly staff. But the service on weekdays is so unfriendly that I'd rather have a less good sandwich from another shop. I won't be back.

I allow myself a weekly treat from this amazing sandwich shop just minutes from my work. To be honest EVERYTHING is delicious but I particularly love their flatbreads - always really generously filled. There is also a good selection of sandwich fillings and choose your own salad boxes, as well as a daily frittata and really brilliant soft yolk scotch eggs - you have to try one of those! As if this wasn't tempting enough there is always a selection of freshly made yummy cakes. Excellent!

This sandwich shop is the best one in Bristol and I do believe I have tried most of them!You can choose your own filling and if it is early enough a good choice of types of bread or baguette. The fillings are generous (this is what makes them terrific value for money) and individually seasoned to taste. There are other options such as individual tarts and quiches which are hand made locally. A choice of sweet cakes, biscuits and pastries for afters.Fresh teas, coffee and cold drinks. A couple of little tables outside and papers to read. Staff are lovely too. I see everyone from office workers, builders and youths here. Worth the detour if you are in the neighbourhood. A little gem. If I am working in Bristol and can't get here I make my own sandwiches as nowhere comes close to this little heaven for lunch.

This place is a hidden gem! You definitely have to try it... I'm a local chef who finds it difficult to eat out in general but cotham sandwhich company ticks all the boxes! The girls there are always pleasant for starters, quite a rarity in express cafes/sandwhich shops, then comes the food, there is such an array of vibrant food, all homemade and all attractive to the eye, I can't pull myself away from the breakfast there!! It's winner winner... The prices are very reasonable and everything is fresh! I would say this has to be in my top 5 in bristol, as small as it is, it just amazes me every time I go in, Tge verdict....... All in all a very nice, quaint little place, maximising in fresh, locally sourced, original produce, all served with a smile come rain or snow! take my word and go there!!! X

I LOVE this place! The sandwiches are amazing - such an extensive choice of yummy fillings. Go with one of the suggestions on the board, or make up your own. Lovely, friendly staff too. A real gem.

What a wonderful find, this place is full of amazing sounding sandwiches and wraps written up on boards behind the counter. they have a great selection of fillings and are happy to make to order what you require. On both occasions I have been there I have had no problem with them making me exactly what I wanted. the sandwiches are stuffed with fillings and the wraps have generous portions of the fillings within them meaning you feel satisfied after eating. There always seems to be different options available such as scotch eggs or pies on the counter and it all seems to be home made which is a nice change from commercialised cafes. The cakes look amazing as well although after the sandwiches I'm not sure anyone would be able to manage one. Good selection of hot and cold drinks as well. As it is a small place there are only a couple of seats outside and at lunch time it can get a little crowded but the food is worth it. The staff seem friendly and happy to help and the little bits of humour such as the sign hanging on the door make it seem welcoming. Would really recommend this place.

The rare beef, horseradish and salad sandwichmade to order was fantastic. Friendly cheerful service. The cakes are delicious too- if you have room.
