Great place if you really want to eat a flapjack. The workers there are so nice. Especially the one named Harriet. She took me through the whole experience of figuring out what a flapjack was and eventually even showed me how to eat it. It was amazing. I would do it again

Rose Cottage is a great community cafe ran by amazing volunteers and lead by the charismatic and Friendly Nathan! We ordered the breakfast and Nathan not only brought it out with a big smile but he did an amazing dance routine whilst serving us, it was like having Fred Astaire right at our table! Then the rest of the Kitchen staff joined him and sang us a medley of songs from Joseph and the techni colour dream coat, they were so good it was like being in the west end. The Hot chocolate was served with so much cream it looks liked a creamy volcano. We are pretty sure Lewis Capaldi was on the table opposite us as well.

The lady at the entrance had a horrible welcome attitude. We were recently at the branch in Windsor two days ago, and it was an amazing experience ,that’s why we decided to go to the branch in Bath. Unfortunately, the food was horrible, they placed us in an area where no body was around, only the lovely locas were in a different area. I would strongly suggest to not visit this branch in Bath. I swear to God, do not come here, it’s not worth it.

We loved staying at this hotel. The decor in the room made it feel very elegant and classically English. There was tea, coffee, water and cookies in the room and the bathroom had Bramley toiletries. On arrival we were offered a complimentary drink and snacks at the bar which was a nice touch. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly, and we really liked the breakfast. The location of the hotel was great, right in the centre of Bath. Couldn’t recommend this hotel more.

Lovely pub with nice people, delicious drinks and reasonable prices. It is a place that I can fully recommend because everything fits and somehow harmonizes here. Great music (DJ or live), delicious beer, suitable decor and friendly staff. I hope that one day I'll have the opportunity to drink three beers here again. ;-)

March 2025: my second visit so updated review. Food every bit as divine as last time....wonderful service, exquisite drinks pairing and cosy, calm and comfortable surroundings. I wont leave it as long for my nect visit. Previous review from 2023: I love tasting menus and a bit of experimentation. They certainly like to innovate and experiment here, I've had some completely new tasting experiences today with the 9 course menu and accompanying wine flight. The standout dishes on the current menu is a to-die-for pea dish, like a pea mousse with caviar, it was mouthwatering. The lobster dish with a gorgeous sauce, butter and sweetcorn, is absolutely divine. Also the bread they served, I don't usually like bread, but this was out-of-this-world, seriously, I devoured it. The resteraunt were great at giving me substitutes for things I really hate, specifically goats cheese which is strong and abundant in one dish, veal/deer and beef tartare (not for me!!!), they gave me lovely alternatives and were really nice about it. Great, place, I will be back.

This was my first time in the World Heritage city of Bath. I had included this shop (also a World Heritage site) on my sightseeing route, and planned to visit the underground after eating the lemon curd. Something happened when I was paying! I only had an AMEX card, no cash, and my smartphone payment wasn't being accepted, so I was in a lot of trouble, but the very cute and kind staff member Beth helped me in many ways to pay. It was the first time I've been treated so kindly overseas. I remember that she was smiling and had a very good attitude from the moment I entered the store. I'm very grateful. Thank you very much.
