Straight forward simple food at very reasonable prices and plenty of space to sit and enjoy. Very nice to be able to find a cafe in such a central position in Bath without the usual high st chain paraphernalia.

A marvellous menu with lots of good options. The fish fish was incredible. Staff were very efficient and friendly. The place looks small from the outside but is nice and large inside - and has a nice separate area for small groups.

Nerviosamente entramos en el bar y nos sentamos en una de las mesas. Finalmente saludado y bebidas orden tomada. Evidentemente muy ocupado. Equipo de personal muy joven. Sin embargo, parece que habían inundado el bar con órdenes de una vez. Nos sentamos durante 25 minutos esperando en un frío bar de tiro, para nuestro pedido de cócteles. Cócteles enviados a la mesa equivocada. Mi esposa se puso el abrigo y nos preguntábamos a dónde más podríamos ir. Llevado a nuestra mesa a las 7. 50 Precioso comedor, sillas suntuosas, sin embargo muy cerca de otras mesas. Bees Knees Cocktail & Vanilla Old - fashioned - Old fashioned era encantador pero me cuestiono la necesidad de ellos al comienzo de la cena? Alcohol libre, sin embargo, se sentía un poco gimmicky. Rodillas de abejas - no disfrutable Pan con té de caza y pequeño bouche de diversión de croquet de lasaña de liebre - sabroso, cálido. No obtuve garabatos de profundidad de sabor del té, pero buena idea. Croquet carecía de sabor real. Jus, sabía idéntico al del jus de pato, solo que con bayas de saúco atravesándolo. La guarnición de venado eran variaciones de la remolacha, cocinada muy bien, pero necesitaba un suntuoso puré de algo para unirlo todo. Decepcionante. Calabaza Caramelizada de Arce, Juego de natillas de calabaza , Helado de Caramelo Salado - Si no te gusta la calabaza estás jodido. Estaba bien, todavía teníamos hambre en este punto y queríamos ir. El comedor se había enfriado y la noche se prolongaba molestamente. Era molesto escuchar la mesa de al lado tratando de cortar a través de su calabaza pero fallando miserablemente y golpeando el plato con su cuchara en cada ocasión. Conté 5 veces. Estábamos a poca distancia de la mesa y para algún lugar que está sirviendo este tipo de comida, en un entorno suntuoso se sentía demasiado cerca. Platos sucios alineaban los pasillos y la zona del bar donde los camareros habían despejado mesas pero no las habían llevado al lavadero de ollas. ¡Esto fue horrible! Realmente sentimos que fallaron el objetivo. Están preparando el menú degustación de 7 platos y estaban muy ocupados. Sin embargo, evidentemente demasiado ocupado. Cometieron algunos errores bastante grandes que arruinaron la noche y hubo una falta de atención al detalle durante toda la noche. La temperatura del restaurante , la iluminación era brillante , amontonamiento de mesas , apilamiento de platos sucios . La lista continúa. Imagino que este lugar estaría presionando para una estrella Michelin - Introduciendo platos de comida, menú degustación, maridaje de vinos, etc - Habiendo comido en muchos, hay un largo camino por recorrer para el Anciano. Nos fuimos hambrientos, y no satisfechos Ajustaron la cuenta en consecuencia £ 140 - Para beber con la cena tuvimos 1 jarra de Chablis y 1 vaso de Pinot Noir.

From the security guard who found us seated waiting area, the manager who set our table up for the whole group, the waiter who specially labeled the tea and took pictures of our group, the senior waiter who kept our take away boxes until the end of the day an all around excellent display of customer service. Amazing restaurant, awful service. I hate to write a bad review as someone who works in hospitality but this was a particularly bad experience ! Today we headed to the beckfrord bottle shop for some dinner and a glass of wine. We were told that we had the table until 8pm which we expressed was completely fine ! However, the waitress (dark hair, glasses and checked grey overshirt) made us feel totally uncomfortable from the moment we arrived. We were rushed to order drink and then food, she was panicked almost from the moment we sat down. We asked for a minute so we could all discuss what we wanted to order and she was clearly very unimpressed at this. Everything seemed fine again and different members of staff brought us our food and were friendly and accommodating. Then it came to 7.40pm and the rushing and rudeness came back and worse. She asked us to pay the bill and we explained we’d already understood that we had to be done by 8 so could we enjoy our glasses of wine and pay at the end of the meal. She came back 2 minutes later and forced us to pay the bill with 20 minutes to go. This shouldn’t even have been on our mind, as we were trying to enjoy a nice meal. Why did there have to be such a stress on the time limit when being out for dinner ! As I mentioned above, I work in hospitality and I’m very used to annoying customers etc. However, we are a pretty laid back group of people. This was such a shame as the food and wine was amazing, really she ruined what could have been such a lovely evening! I think maybe the waitress needed a break ?

The food and drink was really tasty! The vibe of the restaurant was really good and the waitress, Bea, was very accommodating, and provided excellent service!

I travel quite a lot with work and like to look for independent accommodation outside of Premier Inn and Travelodge.. I stayed here last night and I found it to be a SUPERB place to eat and stay at ! Bed and Breakfast was £74 and I had a lovely 3 course meal for £32. Genuinely, I have not found a better restaurant and accommodation throughout the UK for a business trip. The rooms are clean, classy, comfortable and such good value. This, alone, would guarantee a great review but then I went downstairs to the pub for dinner. It was truly delicious and full of flavour. I learnt that all of the menu is freshly and home made by the friendly and very talented chef and each course was piping hot. As a starter, I had the mushroom with goats cheese and onion jam. Main course was pork shoulder, mash with veg and incredible gravy ! Dessert was apple & cider crumble with custard. This was a 10/10 dinner and couldn't be faulted. All of the staff were incredibly welcoming. I visited on a Tuesday night and it was fully booked. It is obviously very popular and appears to be a hidden gem. Thank you to all of the team and I hope to revisit here in the future - this is a great place to stay at for a visit to Bath !

We really enjoyed our visit! Lovely pancakes and coffee, with friendly, helpful staff. It was such a treat to sit in their pretty courtyard despite it being mid November! Would go again.

A really good find !! A local pub with great atmosphere and a really friendly and helpful attitude from the staff and locals alike ! The food was great ..... A good selection of ales and I was assured the wine was good too. I would recommend a visit 👍

Los pasteles de corniche aquí estaban súper deliciosos. Y el pastel de chocolate era celestial. Recomiendo a cualquiera que busque comer algo rápido a un buen precio.

Sat outside this Mokoko in Dorchester Street. Tables were dirty, cigarette ends all over the floor, tables not cleared - horrible - coffee on the other hand - lovely
