Absolutely disgusted with how the shop attendant spoke to my young son when we visited on Tuesday 4th April 2023. He only went to put a wrapper in their bin and was spoken to like he had committed a crime. I can't believe that someone could make a young child so upset for no reason. By the looks of other reviews, it's obviously not the first time the staff in this shop have been rude and disrespectful. This attendant clearly needs some serious customer service training. I would strongly advise you avoid this shop and spend your money where it's appreciated.

I am giving this a 3 star review as although the shop is beautifully curated, the unfortunate attitudes of the staff is very off putting and doesn’t leave you wanting to support this small business. As a small business owner myself I was shocked to be reprimanded by a staff member today when I picked up a glass jar, to my surprise when I suggested that perhaps they should have a sign telling customers to not touch I was met with a very poor response. Wouldn’t rush back.

Cannot believe there attitude over a faulty mug, our daughter purchased two mugs for Christmas from there shop unfortunately one mug would not hold water, I emailed and said they would send a replacement mug if we paid the postage! I contacted them by phone and they asked for photos which I sent, they are willing to send a mug but are still asking for cost of post. There supplier would replace the item and pay for postage very disappointed with there service and would advice do not purchase from them!

I've been shopping here for years and was surprised to find they'd moved! The new shop is just off the high street down the lovely alleyways that house other independent shops. It's very grand now, with a lot more space and even has a coffee roaster! Picked up some of my favourites as well as Butterfly Pea Flower! Worth a visit for any tea lover! I'd recommend the tropical plant shop next door as well!

I am exempt from wearing a mask but I was still refused service here unless I wore a face shield. As far as I am aware, this is not a government rule yet and therefore didn’t happen to have one stashed in my pocket. They said they’d be happy to serve my 9-year-old though as long as I stayed outside of the shop. No thanks. It’s unfortunate as the Emporium was recommended to me and they would have had a new, regular customer but I chose to take my business elsewhere.

My wife and I found this back in 2011... She had a tea shrine in our house, and some the teas here were added... Our Fav's, the Christmas Blend, Cranberry & Elderberry, and Orange Chai. 4 pound 60 for a 100g bag... Special memories..

The staff here are lovely, it's a fantastic find, we really love their Christmas window. It's traditional and a little oldy worldy. It's a lovely little independent that does the best hot chocolate. The Christmas hot chocolate is great and I am under orders not to get it from anywhere else. By far better than the place across the road, which is just another generic chain trying to take over. I also love the tea infusers. Shame "loyal customers" don't review how great the places are more often and only come out in places like this when something hasn't gone their way.

It is not often that I feel the need to give such a bad review and I always try to give a balanced view but in this case I feel very let down. Let me explain, I have been a faithful customer of this tea shop for quite some time, I have always loved the variety of tea (and coffee ) they offer along side really helpful and friendly staff - to the point that I was a little worried to see a new tea shop open up almost opposite. This weekend however I purchased a teapot as a Christmas present for a family member. On speaking with family it became apparent that one had already been purchased. Not to worry I thought I'll take it back. Literally 24 hours later I tried to return the boxed teapot for a refund and was told that not only could I not have a refund but I couldn't even have a full credit note as they were only in denominations of ten pounds ( I had spent £28.99 ). Now I am fully aware of the consumer rights and know that refunds are not a given but I do believe that at this time of year when almost eveyone is buying Christmas presents a little flexibility is needed. Most shops do give refunds as a gesture of good will leading up to Christmas and into January. I also know that small independent shops rely on their much needed faithful customers in order to survive, however i do believe it is a relationship that should work both ways. I was not informed of their refund policy and no notice is displayed in the shop. I do feel very let down and will most definitely not be purchasing from them again, I will however try the tea shop opposite. A very sad but true fact.

This is a hidden gem, but do not go there without talking to the owner who will most likely be in the shop. The man travels the world for tea and what he doesn't know who cares, every tea of the many he has, he understands fully and much time can be spent smelling before buying loose leaf treasure or going for a cuppa downstairs.

This small tea room in the basement of a shop selling a huge range of teas and coffees is the place to go for a more unusual type of either beverage. The tea room was very small and a bit lacking in atmosphere, but worth it for the wide range.

The tea room has an unassuming street presence and we probably wouldn't have discovered it if it hadn't been for the recommendation of a friend. You enter into a small shop selling numerous loose teas and tea related paraphernalia. A set of stairs in the corner take you down into the basement tea rooms. It is very rustic, with bare stone walls and floors. The low lighting takes a bit of adapting to. I was interested to see some original features e.g bells for the maids many years ago.

This is my favorite shop in Bath hands down. They have a huge selection of tea. They are REALLY nice. I couldn't resist all the tea options. They got tea pots and other accessories that are really adorable. There is a cafe downstairs with such nice cakes and all the teas they sell, but the chairs aren't comfortable at all. Recommended!

I am not sure I should be telling you about this tea house, because I would be so upset if I got there to have a delicious tea and there was no room for me. But I cannot be selfish and all tea lovers should get the opportunity to visit, by knowing it is there. When I say tea lovers I am not talking your normal everyday cuppa, yes you can get that, but why would you when there are pages and pages of different teas to choose from. I have never added them all up but there must be a hundred.

Merece hacerlo bien.
