This is the best place I have eaten in around the area the staff are absolutely amazing! I think they named the lady as Linny, Linda I am guessing she is pretty much running this place she was everywhere and extremely helpful. Will be returning nothing better then being made very welcome so thanks very much

Came here for some food and coffees. The only thing that was nice was the drinks. The bread on our hotdogs, burger and sandwich was dry and chips didn't look cooked enough. My dad asked for a bacon baguette which they don't do even though they had bacon and baguettes. Won't be eating there again.

Terrible service. Just a bunch of teenagers with no training AT All! Gin And tonic ā¦ no lemonā¦ shrug of shoulders when requested. Overpriced, over cooked , not fresh and really shocking attitude for a time of year when they should be encouraging the scarce amount of customers in Bourton

I've been going to this place for a few years and the coffee shop used to be lovely after a browse in the second hand clothes shop. Unfortunately the coffee shop has now closed but the second hand shop remains open. I am having a spring clean a nd found two pairs of shoes and two dresses from Monsoon I have never worn and were quite expensive so thought I would try and sell them there. I was made to wait whilst the very snooty up her own backside woman finished writing. When she deigned to look up she took one look at me, hardly looked at my shoes and dresses and said 'oh no definitely not'. I had just come back from a dog walk so she probably thought I wasn't posh enough to shop at her second hand clothes shop. I will never go there again and neither will my friends who used to use it regularly. That woman needs to learn some manners I was absolutely appalled.

What A Gem This Pub Is. Looking from the outside viewpoint, you can tell what's inside will not be your usual weatherspoons type local. The pub dates back hundreds of years and you can tell the charm is in the history - and almost museum like interior. This indeed is not a place where the customer should get the glory, that goes to the owners and their ability to keep this place alive without bowing to populist trends in an ever toughening economic environment. Any hearty pub enthusiasts should have this place on a list of must visit pubs. I've seen some negative comments on here, and was shocked when I actually visited and was stunned by the beauty, character and service I received. Going back to the customer gets the glory comment, I said that because I felt lucky to see, converse and appreciate what was on offer. Today I'm visiting again for evening dinner. This will be in a busier environment, so the comparisons between quiete and busier will be evident. But on a first visit basis, I expect a fantastic meal, in a place we are lucky to have. Happy Saturday!

Whilst visiting my son and his family we went greyhound racing at Swindon one Saturday morning. It was the first time my 6 year old granddaughter and 2 and a half grandson had ever been to a meeting, my granddaughter loved watching the dogs whilst my grandson was more interested in his bacon sandwich. The stadium is run down but was talking with several greyhound owners and over the far side they have already begun to build a new stadium

So-so disappointed, we went there as it was a friendās birthday and had pizzas but they were as tough as old boots, the knives would not cut through the base, when I tackled the waitress she said it was the way we cook them! Iām 75 so had many pizzas in my time and this is way down my list. The sweet course was nice but at Ā£9 + the slice of cheesecake is the smallest I ever seen and they didnāt even give you a fork so had to use my finger to get it on the spoon. What a let down for a high class area!!!!

Dispite other reviews we found this place to be very welcoming , perhaps on the days they visited ( previous reviews) the staff were up against it. as the cafe queue is the sane queue to go buy any food shopping so you have to queue again ( so maybe a till in the barn areas where the shop is a good idea too to cut waiting time ) We ordered leek and potato soup , we did have to ask for this as it was not written on the wall. there probably were menus but we didnāt see them . the soup was lovely iād say homemade not shop bought . we also purchased some scones cream and jam from the shop to bring home. iād say this place is still building their business up. so give them a go. wed definatly return . Thank you for a pleasant visit.

We have been here many times for coffee and cake and most of the time the cakes seem to be reasonably fresh. Today i had a very dry sponge Mocha cake. Also, whilst eating my cake i watched a member of staff blow his nose in to a tissue 3 or 4 times and without even a thought to washing his hands went straight over to the dresser to get a cake plate to serve a piece of cake to a customer. I think that is disgusting and shows a lack of hygiene which in this day and age is not acceptable.

Lovely food but no full English. Just lighter breakfast options. But lovely pastries. Went on a Sunday morning. Very short staffed.
