Terrible food and unfriendly service. Only tried it because there was a long queue at Greggs. Bacon roll was awful, especially the bread roll. Coffee equally poor, watery with milk, was supposed to be a flat white, they really haven't a clue! Will join the queue at Greggs next time.

They do a wide selection of different pasties but why wouldn’t you have a traditional? We do and every time we visit it’s perfect. You can see why the place has won world championships. Great service and the best place in Padstow to grab and go something to eat whilst you take in the ambience of the town.

This is the worst bakery I think I have ever been in. Workers were rushed and made the experience very stressful. The panini are overpriced and awful, hardly any filling. Ham cheese and chutney panini, had no chutney and the cheese was like tasteless plastic. Wish I could have got my money back! So awful

Good variety of pasties. I chose cheese and onion (£4.95) and it was really tasty and hot. Also had two cakes: x1 chocolate and x1 lemon curd sponge (£3.25 each). Decent size and tasted nice, although both were quite stale. Service wasn't particularly friendly.

Had two traditional pasty’s ! I ate half of my pasty and confessed to my wife I thought it was disgusting! Her reply was I’m glad you said that because I also don’t like mine . We both put them in the bin gutted as I love a Cornwall pasty 😡 Horrible no not go here the guy on the counter said watch out for the sea gulls 🤔 I don’t think would have pinched them 🤮

Had traditional pasties to take away. Nice pastry , beef potatoe onion and swede filling. Was tasty but not overly hot and not as delicious in our opinion as one had from another company - that had chunkier steak and less swede so clearly suits our tastebuds better. Was also more expensive at £5.50 . Perfectly fine - just nothing extraordinary given it’s award winning status.

Felt ripped off, Order a pasty and a sausage roll with a couple of drinks… was charged an eye watering £19.96. The person behind the till certainly had an eye for the ladies as a woman came in after we did was allowed to jump the queue and only paid a £1.00 for a sausage roll. Felt ripped off and won’t be returning dispute being fairly local

Meat was tough and very little of it. Lumped together in one lump and not spread around the pastie. Seasoning not up to scratch. Ordered 12, binning the rest. The most disappointing online pastie order ever.

Seeing that sandwiches were billed as freshly prepared, we popped into The Cornish Pasty Company shop in the beautiful town of Padstow prior to a quick snack prior to a walk. We ordered a smoked salmon, watercress and cucumber sandwich and a prawn cocktail sandwich. Sounded lovely. We sat ourselves down by the harbour and opened our respective bags. Bit of a disappointment, especially at the price we paid. The sandwiches had deconstructed, were soggy and the salmon sandwiches had rocket, no watercress and no cucumber as was displayed on the board and thick wedges of salmon, crudely sliced. The ‘prawn cocktail’ sandwiches were, tasteless, (and I suspect, low grade supermarket prawns), with no dressing. We returned to express our concerns and the young lady apologised and sought to correct our complaint. It was clear the shop was understaffed as the young lady was preparing sandwiches whilst also trying to serve other customers with pasties. Rather than presenting us with a freshly prepared sandwich she simply stuffed yellowing watercress into the salmon sandwich and squirted mayonnaise into the prawn sandwich and placed them back in the water-sodden bags. Also, might as well mention this now, previous visits have also revealed pasties of a quality expected from a motorway service station. Such a shame. Maybe we need to give it another try but I’m not sure I want to waste my money. Try next door, either side. Rest easy Mr Stein, no competition here!

Visited at the end of lunchtime (2:30) after a disappointing experience at a local pub. First of all we tried to order soup, which was on the board, only to be to be told there was no soup. We then ordered 2 lamb and mint pasties and one cheese and onion. The server shouted across “no lamb and mint”. Okay, fair enough at that time I thought, so ordered beef and Stilton. The pasty was lukewarm and dry, and to be honest pretty tasteless. I am sure that when freshly cooked they are much nicer, so best to eat earlier!

We called in for lunch in the cafe area, ordering 3 different pasties, one being gluten free. We were told this would take a little longer as the gluten free ones were made fresh. Not a problem we thought. How wrong we were! The 2 ‘normal’ pasties arrived within minutes along with the drinks. We thought this a bit strange because we would have expected, and liked, all to arrive at the same time. Half an hour later, drinks finished, 2 pasties eaten, still no gluten free one. We asked the girl who’d taken the order and she scurried away and it was obvious they’d forgotten! No apology. No offer of another drink while we were waiting. The pasty finally arrived just as we were about to give up and leave. Serious staff training and customer service issues!! We will not return!

Staff miserable from the start. No welcome smile which is not a good start. Grumpy- yelling across the room to ask if I wanted milk in my Americana which I had already stated black. Listening to them serving tables they were very blunt and no friendliness at all. Can’t even say it was really busy so rushed off feet. Pasty okay but nothing special. Coffee way too bitter - took 8 minutes to make with the waitress cursing the machine. Would say definitely go to Padstow Pasty’s next door - far more friendly!

We just wanted a quick bite before heading back on the Camel Trail and came across 3 bakeries in a row. Unfortunately we didn't notice the signs and picked the one that was least busy with no queue to save time. The lady behind the counter was extremely rude and made it plain that we should have chosen what we wanted before entering the shop and we quickly picked what turned out to be an unfortunate choice of a very bland and grisly meat and ale pasty. If ever in Padstow looking for a decent pasty, don't go for the shop in the middle!

I wanted a sandwich to go and ordered. The service was slow but was made fresh in front of you. I ordered a prawn sandwich and the ordered was added to the clip. Another staff member came to serve but made the last order not mine. I didn’t say anything but waited. The girl went to make mine but added salad and I’d asked for just lettuce as it was a prawn sandwich. Rather than just removing the added tomato she tossed the sandwich to one side and made another. This then took more time. She added less prawns and hardly any prawn sauce. When I looked up at the menu board I realised I’d been over charged by almost two pounds. My prawn sandwich was just under £7.00. I was disappointed but want to get going, thinking it would be fresh and tastyI regret not saying anything but if I’d have gone back to padstow I’d have gone and complained. When I cam eat eat it, the lettuce was brown, thick clumps of cheap spread, a few prawns and no sauce. I was disgusted by the price I’d paid. I want my money back !

Festive Afternoon Tea this afternoon was very disappointing. It is clearly a stop gap to keep income trickling in between Sunday lunch and evening dinner service. The biggest issue is with the service, very inattentive, unconcerned staff not in the slightest bit interested in providing a professional level of attention. The afternoon tea was acceptable but not exactly delightful let alone memorable or to be recommend to others. Delightful setting with the hotel beautifully appointed and well decorated for Christmas, just a pity the staff were not switched on at all. Management at fault and it would appear no investment made in staff training.

For a spot of lunch, my wife and two children decided to eat here. Never again. We settled on the beef style kebabs (on a skewer). With rice. The beef was tough, tastless, rough and badly cooked. I was a butcher, I should know! Rice was microwaved but still undercooked! The salad that came with it was soggy, rotten and floppy. The best part of the meal was the kids fish goujons. We spent 70 quid (including drinks) on some of the worst food I've eaten.
