Pret in Bath and North East Somerset

Stopped here a few times during my 2 day stay in Bath. The staff was friendly. The store was very hot with no air con during a summers day. Even their chocolate items were melting which is not good. Felt sorry for their employers. Quite a small one.

Almost sold out of food by 12:30 No serviettes. Water all over the toilet floor. Friendly service. Food and drink acceptable but expensive.

I wanted a light snack and opted for the soup. I was served by Billo who was polite helpful and a credit to the cafe.

The Harissa Chicken rye roll was the tastiest sandwich I have had as take out. Proper bread, yummy flavours.

Clean premises. Quick and efficient service. Had a coffee and a cookie. Plenty of tables and a decent variety of food options to suit all tastes. Perfect place to stop off for a quick break in Bath.

My favourite Pret shop. I live two hours from Bath but when visiting I alway go to this store. The food is the usual high Pret standard but the staff are absolutely awesome. It’s a busy shop but the staff are all over it

I was shopping in Bath & stopped for lunch and a latte. Polite man served me and he was happy to clean the table off too when I asked. Nice latte & delicious baguette.

After waiting 20 minutes for my drink I gave up. The food we did get was ok, but not worth the cost. Won't be returning

Today around 12md the outside of this cafe was strewn with paper napkins and tables were left filthy and greasy. The toilets had no loo paper and no soap... Pretty awful and many people commenting on it,

Pret consistently offers good value. The restaurant is kept clean and the service efficient and friendly.

Pret is Pret pretty well anywhere you go however, it is often the little things that set apart the good from the bad. Things like the level of staffing, the interaction with customers and the toilets. Unfortunately here, all three of these let this outlet down. Only one member of staff serving meant she was under pressure and after being at the loo, i advised her that there was no toilet paper in the sole unit, whilst not being curt, she clearly could not leave her till to sort the problem out. C'mon Pret, staff your outlets properly or put a supply of toilet rolls in the toilet for your customers to do the change when a roll finishes.

This brand is great for good coffee and healthy eats. this venue in Bath is of a good standard and is in a good location with tables outside also . The venue has no toilets but that is because within a one minute walk is the public toilets which are clean and well kept. There is a lot of seating at the venue but it gets full quickly so i would suggest if there is two of you, one goes and gets a seat while the other sorts the food. This is a short stay venue but the ffod is good serving hot and cold food but its all self service bar the hot drinks and cakes, which are great. The Bakewell slice is too good and tempting

Easy to get just what you want for a quick nutritious snack with plenty of seating and friendly staff.

Amo mangiare qui…….sosta pranzo veloce, cibo ottimo e scelta ampia. Mi piace molto l'insalata con salmone e quinoa Ottimo anche il caffè!

Nipped in to grab a coffee as I was bursting and couldn't find a public loo. Always feel bad going in somewhere just to use the toilet and not being a customer, so brought a "guilt assuaging" coffee. Only to find out afterwards that there were NO TOILETS ?? I thought everywhere that provided food and drink needed to provide a customer toilet. It appears not. Most annoyed.

Go for a cup of coffee but do not stay for dessert. The Set up is nice.... No toilets availible... a shame. Would have stayed longer if the venue allowed it.

Visité hoy para tomar un café y un pastel, después de mi compra no había lugar para sentarse debido a que las personas solas se tomaban las mesas para el uso de las computadoras portátiles. Ninguno de ellos estaba comiendo o bebiendo. Me paré con mi bandeja y nadie ayudó, ¡la actitud del personal fue inútil y básicamente difícil!

If you are in Bath do not miss this quaint romantic scene, then take a walk along the Avon for a wonderful and beautiful stroll. It is truly a unique structure you will treasure the experience.

The food and coffee are very good in my opinion. The soya latte and pain aux raisins are particularly good (although on my last visit they'd run out of pain aux raisins and it was only one o'clock). Staff are usually friendly and helpful, although recently I'd have to say standards have dropped somewhat. The main problem with this branch is the lack of toilets. It's quite a large branch, so you'd expect them to have them (how did they ever get permission not to have them?). You can sit in the back part of the cafe and watch quite a large number of people obviously searching for the non-existent loos. Most seem utterly baffled by their inability to find toilets and either give up or ask staff only to be told to go elsewhere. When one considers that many will go to a cafe not simply to eat and drink, but also to also relieve their burgeoning bladders etc, this leads to many feeling cheated by this branch of pret. However, despite this major flaw, I still go there, that is until now. A new problem may finally send me elsewhere. The rear of the cafe has shrunk and undergone some changes (no, not new loos) and the seating there is now absolutely appalling. Tables are arranged in rows with little or no room between them making it close to impossible to get in and out of the seats (it's a bit like being in the middle of a crowded row at the cinema when it comes to arriving and leaving). The obvious answer would be to remove one table from each row that's up against a wall, thus giving just that little bit more room. The old setup was fine, but now they seem to want to get the same number of seats into a smaller space. Come on Pret, you have good products, why let yourself down on the customer comfort side. With toilets and good spacing (and maybe get slightly better service out of your newer staff) I'd have given five stars, but as it is I can only go for two.

We spent the weekend in Bath (a lovely city - you must go) and were gasping for a coffee. Unfortunately all the nice places were rammed so we took a chance in Pret.The verdict? Cramped, overpriced tat.Please avoid it. You don’t even get a proper cup... or maybe I expect too much in this environmentally ‘friendly’ establishment

Get a posh pickle and cheddar baguette and walk around town. This is the best sandwich of all time. the store is a little packed and busy (a testament to the food I suspect, not that I’ll ever branch out).

A very small Pret with only a limited range of food to choose from. It was only after we had ordered and sat down that we were told they had no toilets ( I thought that all food estabishments had to have a loo? obviously not). Later in the day we found Bath's second Pret - in Southgate Street - much bigger and with a larger range of food, but also strangely enough - with no loo!

coffee and cake was lovely and fresh. Very noisy because it was very busy and felt a little cramped with push chairs etc.

The line was ridiculously long and my coffee took a very long time to be served. Doesn't seem like the staff were able to handle the Christmas market madness. Very disappointed.

As an office, we regularly have sandwiches for staff meetings and have usually enjoyed them from Pret. However the last three times that we have gone here, (all within the last 6 weeks) the sandwich fillings have really gone down hill. They have become sloppy, as if there is more sauce rather than solid ingredients. This has been across a range of fillings, like the Cucumber, Hoi Sin Duck, Swedish Meatballs and the Chicken Caesar. As a die hard fan of Pret, my boss went to the trouble of calling them to let them know. Sadly this resulted in a confusing call from a manager who said that she was calling while on holiday and seemed defensive rather than wanting to hear some constructive criticism. I don't think that we will be using Pret for our staff meetings any more.

Very good area to visit with couple or family even friends to gathers. All around area small eating places, you can have meal or coffee or anything you wish to. Problems with no wash area. Toilets.

Totally unacceptable to have pigeons inside a restaurant and even more unacceptable to have no lavatory. For all of their pompous marketing this was a really bad experience

This is well worth going to Bath to see. You can get some great shots from above or go round over the bridge and walk down to the river side, and have a walk about.

Nos esperábamos encontrar en Bath este bonito y diferente puentey nos encantó. Sus vistas desde arriba, sus originales cascadas, bordearlo por detrás y verlo desde el otro lado, paseando paralelo al río. No os dejará indiferentes.

Food the same as any other Pret, usually tasty but... We'd already paid and sat down before we were informed there were no toilets. Where do you wash your hands before eating?! I think this is a serious hygiene issue. We had to eat up quickly and then find somewhere for a drink so we could go to the toilet.

Nice food and pleasant staff but cleaners were very annoying, pulling the chairs and tables around. It’s good that the place is kept clean but it could be a bit less disruptive to customers.

Popped in for a quick lunch. Sandwiches were very tasty, with a good choice, and a wide range of desserts. Not cheap though.

I walked into Pret a Manger with great expectations, having looked at their range on their website. I opted for a chicken pesto wrap. It was awful. The wrap was dry and only about a third of the wrap had any filling in it. I'd say the whole thing contained about a heaped tablespoon of chicken and similar of rocket leaves. Never again.

Can’t understand some of the negative comments for this Pret A Manger. We had lovely bacon in Brioche rolls, good filter coffee and lovely friendly, chatty staff. The place was well maintained, very clean, in fact we watched one of the assistants while we ate and she was so thorough, think she cleaned everything not moving! Like the concept of this chain, food is always freshly prepared and tasty.

Some fantastic food with great coffee. The hot food, both rice and soup was great! The restaurant was clean and service quick, highly recommended!

For a quick lunch or snack to eat in or take away you really can’t go wrong here. There are sandwiches, wraps, soups and hot snacks, boxes of salads plus hot and cold drinks and cakes. The only downside was there isn’t much choice for vegans.

Great place if you're on the go, fast service the staff are friendly and helpful. Can be crowded due to it being a small shop. The filter coffee is good here.

Remarkably good fast food, welcome and service from Gosia and Jissoo. This is a very busy corner and a busy food-place, but the atmosphere created by the big smiles and 'can do' made it pleasurable. There's lots of competition around here, but this little f/food sit-in/takeaway is one to come back to.

My daughters just LOVE that Pret sells a sandwich that is just ham and white bread - no mayo or other filing. They don't like anything on their sandwich and it is just so hard to find.

Its a pity because we like Pret a manger, but this Pret is discrediting the chain of Pret a manger and Bath at the same time. The staff lack the organisation making the service slow and customers are left to walk about in search of toilets. There is no sign to tell you Pret doesn't have a single toilet. Staff told me that the toilets are next door they are not next door. You pass a few shops and walk around the corner to use the public toilets these are not Pret toilets. There are two Pret's in Bath and both are without toilets.

I have snacked and drunk coffee here on a number of occasions. The Pret. model is a good one, fresh food, competitively priced, served in a clean comfortable environment. that's what you get here.

I went with a friend for lunch and was amazed that such a large premise does not have a toilet. We were charged extra to eat in so why no facilities? I now see that a previous review in October 2016 makes the same comment and quotes the requirement and yet no action has yet been taken. I will certainly not return!

I live in Bath and am trying to prevent our visitors getting poor service and a bad impression of our great city. Standard Pret food and coffee but consistently the worst staff of anywhere in Bath. I believe this is because the location employees people looking for £'s and not a career. Lack lustre and hugely frustrating lack of customer service and salesmanship. Pret HQ's response to a complaint is to send a card for a free coffee rather than investing in training. Ok if you want a quick coffee providing you have infinite patience!

Every traveler reaches that point where he/she want's something quick, cheap and convenient. Pret meats that need. Every two days or so (on my two-week trip) I stopped in for a pre-packaged sandwich or a fruit cup or a croissant and a soft drink. Pret provides convenience, consistent quality and good flavor. It's not a tourist destination, but it is a tourist's friend.

Any Pret, anywhere you can be sure of fresh food. The only problem with this Pret is it is situated in one of the dirtiest towns in the whole of England. Bath! What a dirty grubby town!

We had a great meal here and the waitress Filipa, extremely nice! She was very helpful! Loved the soup and the cookies.

After the rather lovely visit to Boston Tea Party, I popped in here for a quick coffee after going to the Apple store.. Where do I start. The guy wasn't looking at my hand as he slopped the change into it and it dropped into the biscuits. I mumbled I don't mind if it's 10p but don't want to lose a £1. He couldn't care less and didn't offer to help. I fished around and managed to find it whilst he looked annoyed I had upset the biscuit display.

We took a village coach trip to Bath and did the tourist trail via the Hop On Hop Off bus to orientate ourselves then did a wander around the town centre near the bus and train stations.

We had sandwiches in Pret. They were fine- what you would expect.... it is a busy place. Fine for a quick meal.

We were in 5 cities in 9 days and ate at a Pret at almost every stop. Fast, Fresh, Healthy and reliably consistent. Would have had a much harder trip without the trusty Pret to sustain us.

On my first visit to Bath Spa I visited Pret in Southgate as I genuinely love their dairy free porridge and this Pret is the first one you come across out of the train station.

Bath Pret is very large however does not provide toilet facilities. In the time it took to drink an apple juice and eat a kale and cauliflower mac n cheese 7 people hunted the rear of the shop looking for restrooms. This is not the first time I have sat and watched this happen. The staff had to keep telling customers that none were abailable. Would it not be wise to put a sign on the door before customers choose Pret to purchase items and take a break??

Excellent, healthy food choices. Everything is clearly labeled and made fresh that day. Lots of choices. Not a lot of seating here, but it's right in the heart of Bath. Stopped here multiple times.

Just like other pret a manger outlets! However, for Bath it is not overpriced, service was quick and the staff very helpful. Outside tables available. Good choice of baguette rolls etc

So very helpful: I'm a new vegan and everything is so clearly labelled. I hadn't realised how ethically sensitive Pret are. Really friendly and helpful staff. They've definitely changed my allegiance from another coffee chain!

At the end of a long day visiting Bath, myself and hubby had a spare half hour before our train home, so we decided to have a quick coffee in Pret. Being regular customers of Prets nearer home we knew we could rely on the quality of coffee and pastries - especially the mince pies! This branch did not in any way disappoint us with the superb quality - nor with the friendliness of the staff. We were, however, very surprised that there is no customer toilet! I was under the impression that any premises where food can be bought and consumed on site should have washroom facilities? It did not spoil our experience here, but we did leave sooner than we would've in search of a loo.

Superb range of sandwiches and drinks with filter coffee for just £0.99p! Served in a proper cup with your choice of milk on the side. What more can you ask for?

After a great day visiting the Christmas markets we decided to stop for a coffee and chose Pret as we like the one in our home city. Stunned to be told that there were no customer toilets in such a large and new looking establishment! Hopefully this failure will be sorted soon!

Very busy weekend due to Christmas Market and all cafes busy. Large seating area but still had to wait for seat and noted some customers with laptops staying long after they had finished their food/drink. Food was good, especially soup.

Very disappointed visit I guests it the size of the place, small and cramped, I've been into other pret so to come into this not for me.

Absolutely appalling in this day and age that this eatery with a very large seating area ,provides no toilets whatsoever . Bath City Council should close the place down , until this company put their hands in their very deep pockets , they charge enough for the food & drink and provide at least two toilets as a bare minimum,profits before people Pret A Manger , hold your heads in shame.

This is a review of the new Pret on Southgate. Only went in for a cuppa. Place looked nice and the tea was great but I was stunned that there were no customer toilets! I even thought I was going mad when I couldn't find them so asked a member of staff and was told they do not provide customer toilet or handwashing facilities. Good luck if you're a small child, elderly , or pregnant! Unhelpful and a disgrace in this day and age. Needless to say, I won't be going back - there are plenty of other coffee shops in the town that I'm sure would love my custom.

We were so impressed with this place in the centre of Bath. Fast food, well prepared from sustainable ingredients - fresh as it comes with anything left over donated to homeless charities in the evening. Really cheerful, pleasant staff. We had delicious home made soup and one of their excellent salad plates both times we ate there plus a rice cake dipped in dark chocolate not to mention the great coffee - organic, fair trade. This ticked all our boxes including good prices.

A new opening with possibly 100 covers but no toilets! Shame on the owners for their greed without any regard for their customers!

Nice premises but no toilet for customers!! The Lavazza shop on this site previously, had toilets-this new restaurant does not-not good enough, Pret! Love your coffee but lack of loos for customers in a restaurant is not on.

The service was great, the coffee up to the usual standard. The chocolate croissant however was quite dry and a bit too flaky.

Good range of sandwiches and coffee are available and because of that it gets busy. Service is generally good.

There is a great choice of sandwiches and the fillings are big! So very good value for money. Very clean and lovely seating. Strangely there are no toilets. You need to head to Debenhams for the nearest toilets.

Pret is one of the best food chain ever!!! The sandwiches are always so tasty, as well as the rest of their food!!! I also love their grape and elderflower juice!

We popped in here because I'm sure like most people we were like cattle on a tour and only had a few hours in Bath. It was freezing outside so I opted for the chicken and rice soup. Open the soup...no chicken. I don't mean there were only a few bits and I was being fussy...I mean there was NO chicken. So I figured let me ask them about it. This kid goes and bring his supervisor and she's like oh haha...yes we've been having this issue with this soup...sometimes when we empty the packet chicken is there and sometimes not. They are like...you can choose something else...there are no other soups and I don't want a sandwich because I can only handle gluten in small amounts...they are totally unhelpful and instead of refunding me the money and letting me drink my rice...they KEEP THE SOUP! Like??? What are they going to do with that? I had to literally leave the store and buy a hotdog from a kiosk since by now I was so short on time.

No surprises here..this McDonalds majority-owned chain delivers good fresh food with super strong(read ugly) espressoo coffee in cardboard cups even when you're eating in..& they charge you more fort hat privilege too! Its a bit rich!

I love their salads and wraps - always so loaded with a wonderful mix of great quality fresh food. Not much seating and costs more to eat in but takeaway worth the price

We stopped for a coffee and pastry which turned out to be quite a wait, we ordered almond croissants (slightly warm) which you expect to be done in an oven but these appeared to have been microwaved which is so wrong. They were piping hot inside, soggy at the bottom and both ends were as hard as anything, whilst we were waiting we witnessed the table next to us endure dripping from the ceiling above due to a leak not being fixed and whilst the waitress apologised when the people left the table was set up for more customers….!

Went for a soup, sandwich and tead. The soup tasted weird and not fresh, had to leave it. The prawn mayo sandwich was a bit dry, the tea was stewed and undrinkable.
