When you are in Cornwall, you must savour a Cornish Pastie ! We had seen this place on the corner of the main street, which always had a queue outside.Finally found a place to sit & ordered a pastie & a sausage roll, both of which were excellent. It is abit of a shame that we noticed that they lost o lot of customers, due to the fact that it was full downstairs, as there is no sign in the window to state that there is more seating upstairs...We sat alone there !

We had two wonderful veggie power pasties from here. The pasties were full of veg and just the right temperature and very reasonably.priced. The lady who served us was very friendly and jolly. I would definitely recommend

Ordered 2 cakes, latte and cappuccino to eat in , cakes were put in 2 bags on the counter ( would have expected plates with forks for eat in ) server never spoke after we gave her the order , we asked do we wait or do you bring drinks over , she said will bring them over , drinks were put on our table a few minutes later she left without a word , both drinks looked the same ( I have never ordered a latte and cappuccino and not been able to tell the difference in a second ) we took the drinks to the counter to ask what they were , server said I didn’t make them so I don’t know , they had to call the server who made our drinks to identify them , hence title first and last visit the cafe was Bodmin

We bought 3 steak pasties and a chicken one today for lunch. They were delicious and had plenty of filling. The pastry was light and they were hot when served. Good cups of tea and fabulous, fresh danish pastries!

Delicious pasties & sausage rolls. You can see them being freshly cooked. We had two pasties and a coffee just over £10. The staff are lovely and go out of their way to help you. Such service is very rare these days. I also bought a saffron loaf which I had never heard of and the assistant told me about it. It's a English company that's been going a long time and you can see why. Good prices. Great service. Tasty food. Great staff.

Very disappointed, I bought a medium steak pasty which they’d clearly forgotten to put any meat in and a danish pastry which must’ve been made a week ago judging by how dry it was - both went in the nearest bin!

Stopped off in turo just had to have a pasties. So mine was the cocktail size just big enough for me hubby had the standard. OMG fresh even at 3.00pm. Full tasty yum yum. Elderly server was outstanding lovely lady. Coffee is special too.

Pasties here are going down hill. Both the steak snd chicken ones we had today were very short of any meat. Since the cost has gone up too I don't think we will be coming back in a hurry. Staff are friendly but there were some very noisy disruptive customers which did not add to the charm of the place

I always come here for my pasties and always buy extras to take home to freeze. Full of the right ratio of meat to veg and even tastier with HP sauce.

Asked for two cream teas which came in a box not plates.Scones were that hard that i asked assistant to warm them to which she replied sorry but we don't warm anything. They went in the bin. I then purchased a kids pasty which had soggy pastry and little filling that was just too peppery. Thank goodness our cups of tea were lovely.

Today at Rowes Bakery Falmouth I enter the shop to purchase a pasty at lunchtime 12.30pm to discover the range wasn’t very good so I asked who was responsible for this and the lovely ladies said the manager was on the bake today

Bought 2 doughnuts to eat at home. Needed a magnifying glass to find the jam, actually cut them into pieces and added our own, very disappointing. Also dry and over baked basically sawdust. Such a shame as Rowes used to have an excellent reputation a few years ago. Would recommend trying one of the independent bakeries instead. I am a local and this is definitely my last visit!

You can't visit Cornwall and not have at least one Cornish Pasty and the pasties in this establishment are delicious

We fancied a traditional Cornish Pasty, so we paid Rowe's a visit. Service was very friendly and the pasties were to die for. First class and will definitely call in again before we go home

Pasties had no filling. Were flat when i started eating. Beef was rubbish, more like mince meat, my son threw his away. Lo

I’m surprised to read poor reviews about Rowes. This is my favourite pasty shop in Falmouth. Pasties are delicious and staff have always been friendly. Great value too.

Went in for bacon sandwich & coffees just to get snapped at saying there were no baps even tho lots of cooked bacon & sausages....need to train your female counter staff to be more polite !!!

Tried to buy 4 pasties to-day at 12 o clock to-day (monday). AT KERNICK ROAD BAKERY SHOP. NO STEAK PASTIES UNTIL ABOUT 12:40 ! only a choice of chicken & bacon or wholemeal. These were already in bags & not on show, and I can now see why. When I opened them they were baked hard , dry and inedible. The pastry was like baked clay! ! Maybe they were reheated leftovers from Saturday. How can they be prize - winners when there are so many better shops & bakers in Falmouth? I am Cornish & these are the worst I have had in over 50 years. Whatever has happened to you W.C.ROWE

Terrible pasties purchased from Kernick Road shop Over cooked 2 hard 2 eat. World beating Pasties I don't think so.

We had our first pasties of our holiday here, and the pastry was far too thick and hard. Steak mince inside was fatty and poor. Went to Warren's Bakery next which was far superior.

We stopped foe a quick bite and had the traditional Cornish pasty and the spicy chicken pasty. Both were delicious plus nice and hot. Certainly filled a gap and reasonable value for money.

Seems to be a recurring theme with both friends and work colleagues in which Everyone I’ve met seems to had a bad experience with really awful customer service. The staff were rude from the moment I walked in, would finish their conversations before acknowledging you were waiting and then act like serving you was a chore to them rather than a service. I’ve given them a chance on multiple occasions but it has been always the same. Extremely unwelcoming and just not a nice atmosphere. Every single person I’ve spoken to about Rowes in Falmouth has had the same unfriendly experience. It’s a shame because the pasties are nice but I’m not going to return out of principal because the service is just that poor.

Beautiful pasties, great sustenance on the ferry to St Mawes. Lovely and peppery and not too much pastry ratio. Second only to Proper Pasties which aren’t on tripadvisor for some reason. Knocked all of the others in town out of the park though.

Very tasty proper Cornish pasties to eat in or takeaway. Lots of yummy cakes as well. Very nice bread as weii, a proper bakery.

As you’d hope, the pasties are good, not as nice as Choaks up the road in Falmouth, but good. The sandwiches remind me of the bad food of the 1970's, it’s like they have totally ignored the strides in quality that consumers now want. They've got to watch out, with the quality independents that are around, and the inevitable march of Greggs, they’ll be left behind.

We popped in for a quick bite to eat whilst in Falmouth and bough a pasty each and a hot drink. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good. They offer traditional Cornish pasties in three different sizes which I thought was a good idea. The tables are a little small to fit three people which made it a bit uncomfortable.

A lovely and tasty pasty and staff were nice with speedy service. I wish there was one local to me in London!

A small outlet but top quality food, such an amazing choice of pasties etc. Seating inside but you can purchase what you want and take a stroll around the corner onto a small ferry pier with a view over the estuary and ST Mawes.

The Cornish pasty is really yummy and so are the cakes. there are also sandwiches and tea and coffee to eat in or take away

I needed to get gluten free pasties for my husband who we’d left behind 350 miles away. He loves Cornish pasties and has really missed eating them since he had to change his diet. I bought frozen gluten free pasties which had defrosted and looked past redemption by the time we got home but we’ve just cooked them, they are great and my husband’s really happy.

In years gone by, Rowes were the best value Pasty in the area. Regretably, their prices have put them in the upper range of Pasty suppliers whilst their product has gained pastry by the year. It is not a premium Pasty when compared with Pips, Etheringtons or similar. Sad but true.

Popped in for a pasty for my tea, served by a very pleasant and chatty lady who supplied me with an absolutely exemplary traditional Cornish pasty. Well filled and lovely flaky pastry. Perfect!

Excellent pasties and cakes. They were so good we brought home some Ginger Crunch biscuit (yum yum).

The pasties are delicious and well filled. A good selection of cakes and sandwiches or filled baps and baguettes. The bread is good as well.

It was my husband's first visit to Cornwall so I was looking forward to treating him to a pasty for lunch. Rowe's looked very authentic so we decided to give it try. My husband found a table and I went up to the counter. I selected two drinks, water and lucozade, I ordered two medium pasties. The lady serving pointed out that there was a special offer, a drink, a medium pasty and either a doughnut or a danish for £4.50 (I think that was the price) both cakes included in the offer were huge so I asked if there was anything lighter but she said no, the doughnut or the danish! So as neither of us would manage to eat that amount of food I told her that I just wanted the drinks and pasties. In the end she charged me £10.80, I think it was rude, my husband said that I should have taken the two cakes and paid less and then just left the cakes on the table.

Never fails to satisfy our hunger for the best Cornish Pasties in the world. Well be back before we leave

Rowes have been making the traditional Cornish pasty here for a very long time, the product is good! You cannot miss the shop, it is near the pier at the crossroads below the Moor. Of course, some people will insist that other pasty-makers in town are EVEN better, but your only option is to try them all and draw your own conclusions.

I recently called in here to grab a sandwich for lunch having been unable to get served at the Gyllingvase Beach Cafe.

Rowes has a reputation for the best pasties in Cornwall. They claim to be the only bakery to use Reggae Reggae sauce in a freshly baked pasty. But they also offer the French delights of bacon and egg croissants. Delicious and filling for breakfast or lunch! We bought as a takeaway for a day trip on the ferry next door to St Mawes.

Popped in here to look at the delicious cakes, we then ended up buying a few and sitting inside and eating them, together with a lovely up of tea and a latte. Lovely shop, fantastic and very friendly staff and the smell of freshly cooked pasties is to die for.

The new gluten free range is fantastic,. Totally recommend the traditional pasty. Tasty, peppery, pastry good quality,. Like a 'normal' pasty

Dion't let the fact that Rowes is a chain pasty shop put you off. They are in my top 3 of all pasties in Cornwall and I have eaten a lot

After visiting the rowes bakery next to the pier in Falmouth a member of staff gave me an Irish bank note in my change , when I returned after being refused spending it in another store and BERY POLITELY asked for it to be replaced with an English £5 note she reluctantly replaced it then said to her colleague " I was waiting for her to complain " as I was still stood there . IS THIS CONSIDERED GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE

Best Cornish pasties iv ever had lovely staff as well and a great selection of food and drinks kid also love it

Rowes original steak pasties are, in my opinion, the best factory produced products in Cornwall - I have tried all of the others! There are one or two small producer products slightly better but this is not about them. Good products, good friendle staff, value for money.

As pasties go you cannot go wrong with Rowes they have been selling pasties for many a year , a few locations throughout the town , not my 1st choice of pasty but decent all the same

I had high expectations of a great Cornish pasty and was dissapointed, far too much pastry no where near enough filling. the traditional pasty was bland and the pepper steak was far too peppery.

Went in here for a pasty ordered a small and even reminded the lady behind the counter as I thought she heard me wrong then she said it was small but would be enough for 2, definitely filled me up and very nice pasty it was.

Gone up in price yet again, but I love a good pasty and wouldn't go anywhere else but Rowe's, as they are the best, to my opinion. As I only buy them once in a while I don't mind paying the price they are!

Got from factory at penryn - Pasties ok but not the best. Pasty bit soggy. Meat in clusters. Seasoning good / but not the best !

We had some rolls made up for lunch, I had ham salad and the wife cheese both were very tasty and enjoyable, so much so we returned the following afternoon,the staff were friendly, polite and very helpful

Really bad, paid £7 for a large and small pasty and mush have thrown £6 worth straight in the bin. Greasy, tasteless and barely warm, nowhere near enough seasoning, soggy pastry. The meat was sparse to say the least and what was in there was too fatty (way beyond reason). I'm staggered this place is doing as well as it seems to. Must be the fact it poses as the Cornish Greggs that appeals to ill informed tourists keeping it going. There are so many really good pasty makers to choose from, do yourself a favour and avoid this one.

Seating outside in shopping center, don't feed the gulls or you'll never get rid of them. 😉 Pastry good, lots of potatoe and meat. Mine was a bit grissly but hubby and son very happy.

Noon 27/8/16 Falmouth main shopping street : As a customer who bought hot baked goods I do not enjoy being attacked by the staff for requesting a napkin. The manager said it was not the staff being mean but the store policy and as my takeaway food did not include vat she could not give me a napkin for the gravy filled pie and further more she would not sell me a napkin either. It was very upsetting to be insulted and refused a paper napkin by the two woman on the counter . Luckily a fellow customer gave me a napkin and then two other customers on the street approached me and said they had never seen anything so ridiculous. My advice to Rowes is to get some staff with iq's higher than the pies they sell before they loose all there customers.

Tried rowes pasties and was hooked. Went in to order some to take home to scotland for the next day. On collecting them they were individually packed and labelled

We were surprised to see a member of staff taking frozen ready made pasties out of a box and into the oven ! we assumed they were fresh not frozen. Unfriendly rude sales assistant. Toilet was dirty too !

Good old Cornish lunch you can't beat a ansum rowers pasty in a bag , while out shopping goes down a treat with a Cuppa.Shame about the weather. Many Rowes bakery shops all over Cornwall .

We will not buy any other pasties when we are in Cornwall. They are simply the best ever! Plenty of shops to choose from in Falmouth but you really must go to Rowes.

I am on the hunt for a great pasty and this is it. The pastry was melting, the chuck steak tender, the vegetable moist and firm and the seasonings very good. Huge size and a great price. Best so far.

On our first day in falmouth i had to try a cornish pasty and we just happned to visit rowes bakery for no other reason than it was the one we were nearest at the time.

I don't understand all the good reviews. The pasty I had was very bland and tasteless. There seemed to be no seasoning in either the filling or the pastry. We were eating at one of the tables inside so when I realised the pasty needed seasoning I asked for some salt and pepper but there was none available. I definitely would not recommend.

Bought a pasty to take to the beach for a picnic got to say great pasty. have tried other shops but I still prefer rowes pasty to the rest. Pleasant staff serving and helpful.

You cant go to Cornwall and not have a Rowes pasty, it should be illegal. They have it nailed. This is Cornwall wrapped in pastry, simple as. It was a happy day when I discovered my local Tesco (not in Cornwall) selling proper Rowes pasties... I say proper, but it can only be proper when you have the smell of the sea in your nostrils, the sound of seagulls in your ears and the pure Cornishness of Cornwall under your feet. Love you Rowes, you were there through my childhood when I lived there, I will continue to be your biggest fan :) xx (PS. As usual had a medium traditional pasty on my visit... anything else would be sacrilege... unless it was a large one)

By far my favourite pasty - and I am pretty sure that I have tried all that Falmouth has to offer in the pasty market. And great cakes and scones too!

We were in Falmouth looking for something to eat on the run for lunch. We ca,e across Rowe's Bakery and loved the pastas we purchased. Definitely worth the effort.

I can not go to Cornwall without filling up at Rowes! I have tried every Cornish chicken pastie and these are still my favourite!! Can't be without them!

While in Cornwall we decided to take back to Kent some Pasties. With my Cornish partners recommendation we bought 2 from Rowes in Newquay.. We ate them last night. YUMMY !!!!!!! Can't wait to return and get some more.

My son only eats Choaks pasties but I think Rowes are fine, handy for taking to the pub, most of them allow this.

You cant go wrong with a Rowes pasty - Good quality meat traditionally made, always to a high standard, the perfect stomach filler at lunch time - Avoid the cute little cafes with dire so called home cooked food, just grab yourself a pasty and pocket the change

Rowes specialise in pasties. Their traditional pasties are good, though their pastry recipe seems to have changed in recent years, and is not quite as good as it used to be.

We stopped of for lunch and were surprised at the choice and quality of the baguettes and sandwiches on offer , plenty of filling and a good price, the fresh cream cakes looked a little tired unfortunately and it was only around 2pm. The only criticism is that it would be better wi paper plates if your eating in as it's very messy with just paper bags to eat of, also staff need to be more aware of who is queuing first as my husband was ignored twice over customers who had just walked in.

Thought we would try their traditional Cornish steak pasty......awful....It was full...of hot air, the pastry was crisp and hard, as for the steak.. when you found it, could have used as a sole for your shoe. ...avoid this place there are many other places to go...

a visit to ROWES bakery IS A MUST IF RETURNING TO Falmouth Their cakes and bread still have that true bakery look and taste.

Still an old favourite, especially for its pasties and saffron buns. The pasties are fresh, hot and ready for eating. Rowes is probably the local´s favourite pasty but there are other good ones.

There are many pasty makers in Falmouth. This baker does not have the widest range of unusual recipes but does make the best traditional Cornish pasty, in three sizes. I prefer to eat mine sitting at a table, not wandering about fighting off seagulls. A medium pasty with a large latte costs just over a fiver. This shop is very popular with local residents. "W.Rowe is the place to go" chants a young friend of my acquaintance and on this occasion, he is right.

On our visit to Falmouth we called into this bakery for the cornish pasties which looked delicious in the window and we were spoilt for choice. There was also an excellant chioce of sandwhiches in tiger buns to which we also succumbed. They pasties which were hot we ate walking along the harbour and the buns we took home for tea. Both pasties and buns were wonderful highly recommended.

When we have a weekend with friends its difficult not to have a pasty when walking through the town. Our favourite is Rowes and has been for over 45 years now! They are so meaty and flavoursome and fairly priced too.

Our Child needed some lunch but didn't like pasties so we went to Rowes and got a Kids Meal Deal! The Pack was excellent and fresh! It contained a drink, sandwich, cake, biscuit and fruit! She Loved It!
