Dispite other reviews we found this place to be very welcoming , perhaps on the days they visited ( previous reviews) the staff were up against it. as the cafe queue is the sane queue to go buy any food shopping so you have to queue again ( so maybe a till in the barn areas where the shop is a good idea too to cut waiting time ) We ordered leek and potato soup , we did have to ask for this as it was not written on the wall. there probably were menus but we didn’t see them . the soup was lovely i’d say homemade not shop bought . we also purchased some scones cream and jam from the shop to bring home. i’d say this place is still building their business up. so give them a go. wed definatly return . Thank you for a pleasant visit.

Lovely location, but the food was absolutely dreadful. I ordered the Cornish breakfast which when it eventually arrived, looks like it had been piled on the plate with all the finesse of a JCB. The toast was soggy. The bacon was undercooked and chewy to the point where I left most of it. Where it not for the view this would’ve been a one star review Either way, I will not be going again.

So surprised at all the negative reviews. The farm shop and cafe are clearly works in progress, but we are delighted with the friendly service and our scones with jam and clotted cream were lovely. The pots of tea were very generous. This was our second visit - the first had been solely for supplies from the farm shop. On the latter point, the gammon steaks and Olde Smokey cheese were delicious and very good value. We have recommended Sea View to family and will certainly be back when we are next in North Cornwall in 2025.

Great views, just as the title suggests. But we didn’t stay to eat. Very poor menu, and my wife being Coeliac, her choice was bread or a brownie! Not even the choice of a cream tea.

Great view... we sat outside as we had our dog with us. Not too busy here so tables were cleaned, ordering queue not bad. We weren't having food just drinks. The only criticism I could make is that when our teas were brought out to us, my husband was told sugar etc was back inside. Defeated the object of having drinks brought to the table, petty really.... other than that it was lovely. The farm shop was well stocked with meat, bread, local produce etc. Well worth a stop in my opinion

Visited with family for an afternoon drink and cake. The cakes looked amazing g so ordered two cakes and a cream scone. The cakes were very dry, so dry you really couldn’t eat them. The scone was ok but I have had better. Not much clotted cream but loads of jam. No baby changing area, apparently that’s in the new plans, and no disabled toilets. Fantastic view.

The best part of our lunch was the view from the outside benches looking out to sea The worst part was being pestered by wasps why not put up some wasp pots to draw them away from customers Oh and nearly forgot the staff were miserable and the food basic I could have bought a bit of salad from the shop a slice of ham and done a better job myself but I thought by going somewhere that specialises in food it would have been ok but not to be

We visited for a birthday afternoon cream tea. This is not something that is on the menu. We purchased scones and drinks and a cone with sorbet. Scones were ok, but basic. The cone with mango sorbet had a very odd taste. I returned it, and was told it was different to ‘Walls’ I know what sorbet tastes like. It was replaced with an alternative. Staff were inexperienced and sullen. Dining area very basic. Dogs not allowed inside, it was too windy to sit out. Wouldn’t recommend.

Great views. Very average service, both girls that served us were really miserable and when they brought the drinks out they slammed them down on the table and put the drinks just anywhere. The coffee was good and the cake good. The farm shop is very dark, a bit like being in Hollister. Very little product for such a large place. I can only imagine this place is really geared up for gigs rather than day to day business. If you want a farm shop experience there are many others to choose from that are better.

The cafe has an amazing view, and in a lovely barn building. What we ordered 2x Cornishman’s breakfast and 1x build your own The review on this is mixed: the sausage was lovely, flavourful and quality. The bacon was thick cut which is great however, was so hard and very overcooked that it made trying to cut it let alone eat it very hard work. Was like cardboard. Taste wasn’t very nice. Beans - ok. Eggs - cooked ok but would like to see options such as poached / scrambled. The mushrooms unfortunately were swimming in a grey liquid and fat on the plate. We did ask if we could have black pudding / hog pudding and a hash brown on one of them but they didn’t do them - which is completely fair enough. Did ask for white toast - received some seeded brown variety so we left that Would have spoken to a staff member however the queue was long and the rest of the meal would have gone cold and we had arrangements after so time was pressing. All in all it’s ok but i don’t think we would have the same again. Perhaps if we do visit again we would stick to a sausage sandwich as that was the nicest part

I suffer with CPTSD and crippling anxiety attacks following years attending child deaths. As a result I have a trained assistance dog that alerts me when he detects my anxiety levels are rising and when I struggle to breath puts positive pressure onto my chest to ground me and bring me out of the attack. I turned up at this location with my dog fully displaying his status and ID as a working assistance dog. I was informed that I was not allowed my medical aid in the main store but would have to sit in a separate barn. Trying to be helpful and point out that he was my trained assistance dog resulted in the manager telling staff in front of other customers to refuse to serve me. Totally rude and abnoxious. In the end we sat aside as we needed a drink but anxiety was triggered so we didn’t even finish the drink. Awful experience and first time ever I have had this problem. It’s illegal to prevent access to an assistance dog and I came away panicked and degraded by awful service.

We used to love popping in here when we were in Truro, you would be lucky to get a seat but now it’s take your pick. In a nutshell the place has lost its soul.

Festive Afternoon Tea this afternoon was very disappointing. It is clearly a stop gap to keep income trickling in between Sunday lunch and evening dinner service. The biggest issue is with the service, very inattentive, unconcerned staff not in the slightest bit interested in providing a professional level of attention. The afternoon tea was acceptable but not exactly delightful let alone memorable or to be recommend to others. Delightful setting with the hotel beautifully appointed and well decorated for Christmas, just a pity the staff were not switched on at all. Management at fault and it would appear no investment made in staff training.

Dropped in last night to be greeted by a super friendly bar man. The pizza’s are incredible and their delicious Sunday roasts are now back in the menu. With an unbeatable location and stellar service it’s our favourite spot.....

Really good full Cornish. Generous portions. The bacon was griddled so tasty and not greasy, Harvey's sausages are ways peppery perfect. Would've like a hot plate and homemade beans rather than tinned. Will defo go back. The decaf coffee was dreadful though!
