This review for Badham Pharmacy at Aspen medical centre. Really needs to train staff. I would give O star as staffs were V v rude. There were two young ladies in front, one with light blue frame glasses and another one with silver nose pin, they were shouting to me for no reason even I did not ask how long I need to wait for prescription, I was just in queue and was noticing them their work and they were showing much attitude to customers and were arrogant. I had two another customers waiting in queue for prescription and Badham Pharmacy staff were taunting me by looking at me that we will have to wait as people are going to McDonald's and KFC they obviously wait for half an hour so they will wait here as well. Even though my prescription basket was ready, I was looking that for appox 15 minutes and she was not giving to me. When I remind her basket is ready and it is there she said you have to wait as I am busy with another things. Why????? Even if, it is in front of customers how long it will take to give customers. They made me wait for so long. Such a ridiculous ladies. No manners to behave with customers. If doctor hadn't sent my prescription there I would have never go this Badham Pharmacy. Moreover she was expecting thank you from me, when i didn't thank her she was shouted " excuse me say thank you " Thank you my foot to such staff.

I would first like to thank Steven at St Pauls Badham disability shop for his patience, calm manner and his attitude towards customers,he answered all my questions ,and if he didn’t no he found out, he went above and beyond. The two ladies at Newlands Badham pharmacy Carol and Hanna so welcoming, and sorted my problems out, I called them the one shop ,they both were amazing ,nothing was to much trouble. Then last but not least was Iver, a man who came out of his way, after I’m sure was a busy day ,to help us out with the reclining chair problem. My father-in-law had a wonderful nights sleep in his new chair, thanks to the people mentioned above. So nice to meet people who care for there customers. Thank you all Sue

Seems to be going downhill recently at this branch. Such a shame as I started using it because it was much quicker than the pharmacy at the doctor's opposite. Be warned a lot of drug addicts getting there meds use this pharmacy. I'm pleased they are getting help with there addiction but some of them are rather unpleasant people and can get aggressive if they are kept waiting. This doesn't bother me as I'm a man of the world but I had one of my children with me once and never again.

No respect for my 96 year old grandma! She asked if they could get her a glass of water and they expected her to get up and carry over a big jug of water, when in actual fact she can hardly walk with her walking stick let alone carry a big jug of tap water! When I said that she wouldn't be able to manage the jug they said " well get up and do it yourself " I don't know if this was because they had been having a bad day so far ( I went in for lunch ) or if it is because they're plain rude! They overcharged my family £22.75 and when my wife told them something was wrong, that couldn't be right, the women simply said " bigger tip for me then, I am gonna need it after serving you!" Me and my family had done nothing but complement them until now! They brought another woman out who raised her voice at us and told us we wouldn't be welcomed there anymore and charged us £142.75 in the end when it was suppose to be £112.90! I will not be returning and I suggest nobody else does either, unless you want them to take all your money and shout at you!

heading home after visiting mums in Yorkshire and wanted to eat as getting late so we pulled of the motorway and headed across country to see what we could find, well what a bonus find. we came across a brightly lit country pub and on entering it seemed a little quiet so thought we might get fobbed off as it was 2050 but quite the opposite. A full menu was offered and the food was divine and the service excellent. Then to boot it was only a few miles outside Cheltenham so not too long a drive home, highly recommend. So great food excellent staff and service so do go and i am also told that the Sunday lunch is super but that one must book, enjoy we certainly did.

We had spent New Year's Day at cheltenham races and wanted a meal before heading home, we were a party of 8 we read the last 2 comments on trip adviser and though we should look for somewhere else, but we were only having a quick meal it was New Year's Day, and early evening, I gave them a call they were serving food so we gave it a go.apart from us there was only one other table in use when we arrived, we did wait a bit longer than you would expect for our food but they were cooking eight different meals. The waitress was ok I don't think you would find her in a silver service restaurant, but once we broke the ice with her, she did show more of a human side, we were constantly asked if all was ok, which it was the landlady also asked us.The food was average not great, we had a good mixture from the menu and we all thought the same, however we did get what we paid for, £60 for 8 people and that included 3 drinks (other drinks were paid for separately), so good value for money, if you want posh this is probably not the right place to go, but cheap and cheerful, yes, and friendly welcome, we would visit again if in the area.

Poor food. Very expensive and staff not very polite. We booked a table for Sunday lunch and had to wait for 30 minutes after our booked in time. We were not allowed up to the carvery until we were called. I was told this was so they could restock....didn't happen! My meat consisted of bits off the board, when I asked for some turkey, was given a thin small slice. We ordered drinks at the bar on our way in and told that they will be served at our table, we are still waiting. Will not go back.

My husband and I have just enjoyed lovely freshly cooked meals. I had a grilled smoked cod with salad, not on the menu but they were so helpful and willing to adjust the menu to suit my preference. My husband enjoyed a steak, cooked just how he loves it with chips and vegetables. Puddings were yummy and very generous portions, even the crumble is cooked freshly.. The landlady was so nice and helpful replying to an earlier email promptly, and ensuring everything was as we wanted during the evening. Great pub, friendly and helpful staff highly recomended.

We came here for my mums birthday tonight and the food was lovely, but the ones with steak we asked for no salad and no coleslaw.. To which the dinner was served with salad and coleslaw.. My partner asked for gravy with her steak, who puts salad and coleslawwith gravy??? They also forgot the onion rings, then after asking for them five minutes into dinner, they had obviously not remembered to do them and they brought out onion rings that looked and tasted like they had been cooked for two minutes. After then telling them that the onion rings obviously haven't been cooked properly they then brought out some more onion rings 15 minutes later which had been cooked for longer and looked suitable to eat but was put off from how pushy the lady was behind the bar because she clearly didn't want a bad feedback!!! Bad customer service with the food. But apart from that it was alright.

I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! I emailed Jane the week before we went for a copy of the menu as one of the party was coeliac and another vegetarian - the choice was great (and reasonably priced)! My Aunt who is coeliac has never had so much choice! She was able to choose from almost all of the meals! We were a party of 12 so decided to pre order our food which was great as on arrival we could just get our drinks and await our dinner. The food was great! Huge portions (which I loved) and all freshly made - the tomatoes tasted as though they had just been picked from the garden! All of the staff were extremely friendly and topped off the lovely food and lovely setting. Thanks again and I look forward to visiting again soon!

Have been to this pub before and had a lovely Sunday lunch,but.... This time the staff were rude and not very quick to remove our dishes after our main course in order for us to order our dessert. Also, the food did not seem to be hot enough. I usually order beef on the rare side, but the beef on offer had loads of fat on and not very appetising. When paying the bill, which came to approx £33.00 we were going to be charged £56.00 +. When my wife tried to explain the error to the landlady she was told to "Shush " on more than one occasion and if she had been talking to her hired help then thats her business but certainly not to any customer,How RUDE!!! We will not be frequenting there again.

Myself and a friend met at the Farmers Arms on a quiet Tuesday evening for a drink and a catch up. The young girl who served us at the bar was lovely and helped us choose which wine we wanted. It was a quiet evening win a few people on the restaurant and a coupe of people at the bar but me and my friend went and sat out for the way over by the fireplace. By our second glass the wine, the chap who I think runs the pub came over and gave us a rather generous bowl of peanuts which we thought was kind (my mum has also informed me that when she has been in the past they bought her over a bowl of fried bananas pieces!) then halfway through our third drink (we'd moved onto a V&T and a G&T by now) he came over and gave us both a refill of vodka and gin with a bottle of tonic water free of charge! We were very impressed and grateful! I'm not saying that this will happen to every customer who pops in for a quiet drink but my friend and I really felt that they pride themselves on looking after the people who visit their pub and we certainly felt well looked after. We are planning a visit again very soon and this time we plan to eat as well.

We used to be regular visitors to this pub some years ago. In fact my late father wouldn' t go anywhere else. We haven't been for some time though. We decided to pop in on the offchance one Sunday recently for a carvery. The pub was busy but the landlady greeted us nicely and explained that the carvery was operated on a wait list system ie your name went on a list and you waited to be called up. Not a problem as this avoided the "school dinner" queues. We had a bit of a wait as there seemed to not be many staff on the serving counter but were finally called up.There was the usual choices of meat and a choice of medium or well done beef. The beef was nice if not very plentiful but the accompaniments, yorkies, roasties and parsnips were, to put it bluntly, burnt and unpleasant. Also, several of the serving dishes which should have contained vegetables were empty. This was only about 1.30 in the afternoon and I believe lunch was still to be served for at least another hour and a half or so if not longer. This seems to me poor service, the couple behind us were scratching round for the last bits of food. The carvery is not particularly cheap and we felt it was not acceptable.

The puddings again all home cooked and the sticky toffee is to die for. There's a really cosy corner with comfy sofas where we all sat afterwards and had coffees. It was like sitting in your living room. Perfect end to a lovely evening out. We will all be back! Thanks jane!

We called in, hungry, 1ish one sunny Saturday in June en route from Carlisle to Devon. Oh that we'd had our Good Pub Guide with us or been young enough to check Tripadvisor via iphones etc. In which case, we'd have kept well clear. We don't mind waiting a while for food (sign of fresh-cookedness, one hopes) but, as it was, I'd drained my nice pint of Doom Bar and started on a jug of water even before deciding to go in and enquire after our food. A middle-aged lady in an apron stalled me with 'I think it'll be out any minute' but without bothering to see if there was any justification for the comment. There wasn't. At least another ten minutes elapsed before our meals emerged, and when they did, the wait hadn't been worth it. The Moroccan chicken was half-cooked and swimming in juice. My escalopes of veal were plain tough. We left most of our meals on the plate, cut our losses and left. Sadly I'd paid upfront, but took consolation in looking forward to writing this review.

The food was excellent and great value, the welcome drinks were delicious (both non alcoholic and alcoholic), the live band was the best I have ever heard (& my guests agreed with me), there was ample parking, the venue was very clean and spacious and the service was outstanding. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating. I really couldn't have wished for more. This is a pub where the owners do listen to comments and continually strive to make improvements. The food is cooked fresh and they can cater for an array of allergies/medical conditions when given notice. Although it can take a while to answer the telephone or deal with payment over the 'phone, I definitely would return and recommend.

Limited but seemingly attractive lunchtime menu, titled "Specials".Pint of Jail Ale £3.50) was in good nick and the Pork Belly, ratatouille and rice seemed a good option (£9.75).Interesting presentation as a circle rather than a flat strip.Only problem was that it had been through the oven probably yesterday as self evidently reheated,it was dry as a bone. The central stuffing of which there was but a trace, had long since disappeared.Crackling tough as old boots and inedible. The tian of rice similarly was yesterdays at best as it was rock solid.Only way to get at it was to carve bits off the side. The ratatouille was OK.Cooked fresh to order this could have been delightful....reheated ,sorry,no.Such a pity as the lady in charge was trying so very hard to please.Staff training could also do with a kick. The dopey waitress first brought me an omelette and insisted that it was mine. Then the mustard that I had requested came with a dessert spoon (later replaced by the good lady with a tea spoon).Sort of sums the place up which once was an Enterprise Inns flagship some eight or so years ago.

This is a large pub, nicely furnished and close to the village - they were very welcoming and friendly and were not busy with only five tables in total occupied. The menu looked very average but ok with lots of advice re gluten free etc. We waited over half an hour before eventually the teenage waitress asked if we had ordered, since she was the only one serving it was obvious we hadn't - four out of the five tables had not received food despite them all having been there when we had arrived so we decided that we didn't want to wait because it seemed that after having waited so long for an order to be taken the food would also take an age to come. I hope they get their act together because they do seem like nice people, just a bit too laid back!

We visited as a family for Sunday lunch following some good reports from acquaintances who have been there since it was taken over. During the past 10 years there have been several disastrous attempts to breath some life back into this pub. It could be amazing, it's a great size, layout is good, position to village not too bad....but service and food let it down all the time. When we arrived for our lunch around 2 weeks ago, having not been since it was taken over again last year, we went up to the bar and asked if we found our own seat and then ordered, the landlady snapped 'absolutely not!' at which point I flinched and turned away from her taken aback by her aggressive and unnecessary response to a reasonable question. She asked if we had booked and sucked in her breath when we said no. She then said we would need to wait for a table, yet there were several empty and remained so throughout our meal after we were seated. I don't agree with some of the comments here about the serving staff as they worked their proverbials whilst being barked at by the landlady. She had one young female waitress in tears who was then comforted by a more mature colleague. She shouted at and embarrassed a young male waiter too, both in front of customers. controlling is an understatement, yet the joke was she was not in control of either herself or how she managed her staff and payment for orders that all seemed to be wrong as we witnessed customer after customer challenging their bill because we were sat beside the bar. The staff deserve a medal and she deserve to be taken to a tribunal for bullying.....it's only a matter of time. The food was....basic, nothing special.....back to Toby Carvery for us next time!

Never again!!! We went on a Sunday afternoon. They had finished serving the carvery but said we could order off the normal menu. The menu wasn't terribly inspiring but my daughter and I ordered sausage and mash. Forty minutes later the waitress came over and said that two of our meals were ready but there had been a mistake and one meal hadn't been cooked. We said we preferred to wait and have all three meals served together.Around five minutes later our meals were served. My sausage and mash didn't look too appetising but I couldn't believe what my daughter had been served. The sausages looked uncooked. She put one onto my husband's plate and he tried it and said it was raw. Mine were cooked - not properly but not raw - but they tasted horrible. The mash that all three of us were served was dry and had big lumps in it. It hadn't been mixed with butter or milk or cream it was just horrible. My husband eats anything but even he couldn't eat it.The waitress was understanding and they knocked the price of one meal off the bill but really we should have refused to pay. We could have cooked sausage and mash ourselves and it would have been much better than what they served up. It's not exactly a difficult dish.We won't be going back!

Jane and Andre arrived in residence March 2013 to take on the mammoth task of turning this now lovely pub around, it has been an enormous challenge for both of them but against all odds their hard work has paid off. On arriving at the pub there is an excellent greeting from Jane, while Andre works hard in the kitchen doing what he does best beavering away cooking delicious fresh delights. The staff although busy and under pressure are extremely welcoming and friendly and offer a really good service with a smile and if time a chat. Sundays my Partner and I drive back early to Bishops Cleeve for our delicious not to be missed roast dinner with an excellent choice of succulent meats and tasty vegetables. Wednesday on arriving at the pub for a delicious mouth-watering steak, a new barman Dave had arrived and his smile just illuminated the pub while serving excellent drinks, ale, wine, coffee, etc and so friendly, so obliging and courteous. This venue has suffered in the past with terrible management, mediocre food and poor promotion but I am glad to say that our recent visit with family demonstrated that the present owners have made significant improvements. The sizeable restaurant area was neat and tidy and it was lovely to see the distant Cotswold hills, highlighted by the clear winter sun which also streamed through the big windows. Apart from a lack of "welcome" by the two members of staff standing chatting on the customer side of the bar (!), when we first arrived, the service was attentive and timely. Sunday is carvery day and there was a good choice of roast meats, loads of different vegetables and piping hot gravy. There was a good selection of puds and the portions were pleasantly generous. The real ale was well kept though it would have been nice to have a slightly bigger selection. I would recommend The Old Farmers Arms and I am looking forward to taking other people in the hope that we are acknowledged on arrival as hungry paying guests!

Went to try it and failed. We were excited about this place but at least it has been tried. I ordered my usual pasta, I asked staff what Pasta is it? She had to ask. Also the payment procedure is a shambles no one knew anything. My review is like Zonda's.

I won a 3 course meal for two at a charity dinner which had kindly been donated by the owners. We were seated as soon as we entered and chose scallops and a perfectly cooked fillet steak. The dessert of figs and creme fraiche was delisious. The owner was friendly and wanted to know if we'd enjoyed our meals. I thought it was a good menu with something for everyone, a warm atmosphere - would def go again.

This is a very well laid out pub plenty of room for dining, well spaced tables, all very comfortable and a cosy area of soft furniture by an open fire, a long bar and ample room around it. I have to say I expected better, food was adequate, and portions where generous, but the food lacked a little quality although it was hot and well presented, the cheese and biscuits where very generous and would easily be enough for 2. The the staff are friendly, but they seemed to lack motivation and appeared to be a little deflated. It is a big facility and it was very quiet for a Saturday night - coincidence? I am not sure.

We meet ex-colleagues here roughly once a month. Unfortunately the pub has had a few ups & downs, but the current management are doing a good job. The food is good & plentiful. There is a good choice of menu and friendly service. Surroundings are very pleasant, there is plenty of parking space and we consider it good value for money.

On entering the establishment we went straight to the bar where one person was serving with a long queue of customers waiting,,,mainly to pay for their food. I heard one lady complain that if someone had actually served her she would have had a desert! The the next customer complained that her bill was wrong and meals had been duplicated. Fortunately a second bar person had returned to the bar at his point and was later heard discussing the bills with a bemused manager informing her that they had all been somehow overcharged. At this point we were served by the other bar person and we informed her we had a reservation....unfortunately she could not find our booking but then presumed it had been mistakenly put under another similar name but said she would find us a table anyway. While having our drink at the bar another couple came in with a reservation for the same time as ours and again the bar man could not find this reservation either and they were asked if they minded sitting in the bar area!On being escorted to our table in the restaurant I noticed there were several free tables and most of these remained empty during the hour we spent there. We waited to be served after choosing our meal from the small menu but no one came over to us even though staff were seen wiping tables for around us. My husband then went to the bar as we believed at this point there was no table service and when asking the young bar man if we were supposed to order at the bar his reply was, "You can if you like"! When ordering our meals my husband asked what the difference was between the gourmet and classic burger and the bar man then bizarrely explained the difference between a vegetarian and a beef burger! My husband replied that he was quite aware of the difference between the two and on re looking at the option himself he noted that he could have the gourmet burger to his specification so asked for it to be cooked rare...this was precipitated by a blank stare from the bar man.I ordered fish and chips as I believed this was a safe option not feeling totally confident of the quality of food from the lack lustre menu..how wrong! On receiving our food around 20 minutes later I noticed my mushy peas were of a strange grey colour and on tasting them realised they were stone cold! After eventually flagging down a member of staff who was still preoccupied by cleaning tables, she apologised and asked if I would like them heated up or I could have garden peas. I requested mushy peas again as per the menu and she then asked me to scrape the peas off my plate onto a small dish and said she would have them warmed up. As she walked way I said I didn't want the same peas but she did not hear me and returned with the same inedible looking grey mass which I promptly refused and told her not to bother. My husband found his burger to be well done and not rare but was so hungry at this stage decided to eat it anyway. The gourmet burger consisted of over cooked meat and a stringy bit of cheese. My battered cod was ok but the chips were overcooked and had potato skins on them...more thin wedges than chips. My husband then returned to the bar to pay as there was still no service only to be charged for three meals not two. This was corrected but he decided not to complain about the food so we could leave the establishment immediately. To summarise, the food was poor and the service non existent. The lady manager was seen flitting around apologising to mostly disgruntled customers...perhaps she could have actually done some serving!! We will not be returning.

Called here for lunch on or way home from Cheltenham, the inside of the pub is great, pleasant and well laid out. But I can only rate the service and food as average and definitely nothing special. The person behind the bar certainly was not familiar with the menu and I thought was quite offhand. Portions of food small and I have definitely had much better, even from your average pub grub. Bar staff should learn it is the customer who is important and not the people they work with

We were on our way to Cheltenham and were a bit early and decided to stop and have a little lunch and pulled in to the first place we saw which happened to be The Old Farmers Arms. It's clear the the place has been redecorated recently and is fresh, light and airy. On entering we were asked if we were dining and if we wanted the drinks on the same tab, which made things easier. Wanting a light lunch we opted for salads from the specials menu. A seared scallops salad, which was served with samphire and a light tomato and chilli dressing. Also a salmon three ways salad, which consisted of smoked, gravlax and poached salmon. The gravlax had a beautiful dill sauced over and the poached salmon had a light mayonnaise. Both dishes arrived in good time and were absolutely delicious. We also took a look at the desert menu and my partner had chocolate ice cream which had a homemade tuile, I couldn't resist the caramelised lemon tart which was a perfect palette cleanser. If we are ever passing we most probably will visit again.

Table for 5 booked for 7.30pm, not many diners in but lovely fresh, open atmosphere. Service needs some polishing, ordered bottle of wine and barman 'offered' to take glasses to table, I 'offered' to follow him and for us all to be seated; wine took a while to arrive but we were catching up so it was not terribly noticeable. Limited but varied menu - although some items not available, unfortunately 2 of which (sea bass and scallops) were what some of my party wanted to order, they had apparently been busy and sold out.We shared a starter - houmos and something (which turned out to be aubergine but waitress had to go and find out what the other dip was), at least she did this. Main courses (cod & chips, sirloin steak, crab salad, chicken dish) were all good. We shared 2 desserts (raspberry something - with oats, cream & whiskey and chocolate brownie), which finished off the meal nicely. We felt it was reasonably priced and good value for money (worked out at £20 pp - which included 2 bottles of wine and a tip).A good start and somewhere I would go back to.

Went here to pass some time with my grandmother. We decided to try it as had heard was under new management. Did call first, and was greeted with a friendly and helpful person. Good start, but it was sadly downhill from there, but don't be put off. It was clean, the food wasn't bad, but check backs could have been a bit more helpful. I ordered peppercorn sauce with my steak - I had to collar waitress and find out where it was, and when it arrived I'm sure it was made from mushroom soup!! Very unique is being generous to its taste. The same waiting game happened with an espresso I ordered for desert. If I could recommend some actual music instead of a terrible local radio station for atmosphere?? I sadly left disappointed, but I do understand its early days. I will return one day, maybe 6 months down the line to see if its improved as I expect it will. Overall, not terrible, needs improvement, don't ask for peppercorn sauce!

Emailed the pub for feedback, they didn't bother to email me back. I won't be going back and I will be telling people to avoid it. The 1 waiter messed up the bill and also couldn't use the till.

Read the reviews, have never been but fell convenient. One starter, two main courses ordered, only people there so you would expect everything to be as ordered. My partner asked for something not on the menu which she had as a main and really enjoyed but the chips never came. When mentioned, " they're extra" Yes, that's why we ordered them, too late now! Fish cake 2/5, main course of prawns with lime & chilli were drowned in lime, not even a hint of chilli. They were also overcooked and chewy. Sorry but if you want to stay there longer than the last incumbents you will need to improve.

Andre and Jane came to the Farmers Arms in March, and what a difference they are already making. Previous occupants of the Farmers Arms have sadly failed to make their mark, but I do believe this lively couple will bring deserved success here. Andre is a talented chef, preparing everything from scratch, and producing innovative and delicious menus. The Osso Bucco is just delicious, if it is on the menu when you visit, you MUST try it. Jane is a superb front of house hostess, and all the staff are friendly, informative, professional and enthusiastic. If you require something that is not listed, just ask. I truly believe The Farmers Arms will overcome the small glitches and become a recognised, local, 'great food' establishment, family friendly, couple friendly, group friendly, dog friendly, with lovely space outside as well. My only personal gripe ? ditch the table sachets of condiments, you are so much better than that!!! I could eat here everyday with such a reasonably priced menu. I wish you both all the success in the world

I have to say I am suprised by the negative reviews below as I found the food to be fresh, tasty and reasonable. The staff were friendly, polite and attentive. We also met the owner who checked our meals were okay & was very passionate about the service and cuisine provided. I had a smoked makerel salad which was excellent. I noticed as well that the menu served a Sea Bass main for less than £10 which I was impressed with, I am looking forward to returing to give this a go!

first visit since the new owners. Poor choice of starters. Soup was either Thai fish or broccoli and Stilton (not a popular selection). Garlic bread was nice but what was the salad all about. My main of fish was good. Didn't like the tartar sauce served on the plate.(an assumption everyone likes it) chips were good but could imagine a lot would like crispy skn off fries. My husbands burger was a lot smaller than the bun it was served in surely that should be the other way round big burger small bun. Menu stated burger and chips.over half the plate was covered in salad and coleslaw of which he likes neither. Creme brûlée was undercooked. Service was slow and i Now know the bar man/waiter wears blue pants. Obviously if he pulled his low rise jeans up I wouldn't have needed to see them. Chef/owner did the rounds after the meal asking if we enjoyed the meal and then blamed the eccentric service on their internet connection - still working that one out.Place was a quarter full on a Friday night with no atmosphere and all the signs are this venture is doomed to fail. Andre and his wife Jane took over the Pub on the 12th March 2013. My wife and I eat out three times a week locally and were looking for something a bit different to the norm. Well this is it. We have been twice in the last week. The food is cooked freshly, no micro-waving, (nothing wrong with that of course), but you will have to wait ten to fifteen minutes for your food, but I assure you it is well worth it. I have had Sea Bass twice now and it was superb on both occassions, it will be different fish every week or so, and my wife has had Spaghetti Carbonara and Chicken Casserole. Both were plentiful and excellent. The prices are very good £7:50p for each meal, unbelievable. A bonus is that until April 28th there are vouchers to pick up after your first visit for various offers including two for the price of one. The beer and lager prices are on par with the other pubs in the local area with a good choice of both. We hope the choices and standard are maintained, if so we will be coming here at least once a week. The menu is extensive and also includes, sandwiches, baked potatoes etc. etc. The sweets are also excellent. The Pub has a five star hygiene rating for 'Scores on the Doors' as well. Highly recommended.

Saturday, 18th May 2024, 1 night. Due to refurbishment, restaurant was closed, so no evening meal or breakfast for us. The room was tidy, clean, and recently decorated. However, the bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever experienced. Although we were expecting a double, it was only 4ft wide and very short. The fitted bottom sheet was too small and kept riding up off the mattress corners. Definitely not worth the £75 per night we were charged.
