We’ve had dinner here tonight for tea. It’s been so lovely.. my son has a nut allergy and Lucy Evans went above and beyond to make sure he was looked after and his allergy was taken very seriously. Lucy Evans made my whole family feel at ease and very welcome. We will definitely come back and visit again. Thanks again Lucy and the team

We have stayed very happily before AND had a very good breakfast experience. Today we went in just for breakfast and we're very disappointed. There is now only one option for a "non stayer" and it is called a Late Breakfast. This also means being seated elsewhere. It consists of just that. Full English breakfast. No frills. £10 pp. It cost us £25.89 as we had to pay for a cup of tea and one juice. The plates were cold too. We had no idea we would not be offered the full breakfast experience. We will not be returning unless this hotel reconsiders this and mayber offers their visiting breakfast guests a choice. The same as staying guests but at a higher price than the £10 reduced breakfast offering

Although previous reviews have pointed out that the building could do with some tlc the lunch time special food deal is very good value. There is a selection of meals from £4.99.As a (self certified) connoisseur of Ham, Eggs & Chips, I can confirm the product at The Bell to be very good - albeit with a single fried egg - which was rather overdone. The chips were very good, hot and plentiful. And the ham was equally good - a generous portion, thickly cut and very tasty.Mrs D's pumpkin tart was also very good, and an unusual veggie option.

A bed an breakfast deal for two nights. Bed was great, warm and cosy bedroom. The shower room was ok except for the missing shower door and loose toilet seat. The breakfast on day one was disappointing. The eggs Benedict was poor. Hard poached eggs on crusty old ham on an untoasted muffin and no rocket. Perhaps the chef should be sent round the corner to JDW's to see how it's done, or return to college and complete a second yearIm not keen on Green King beers so I tried the one and only guest beer and had to reject it ; bottom of the barrel? We plan to eat here tonight, so I'll complete this review later. The meal was ok, but you can't realy go wrong with todays hitech microwaves and steamers. It was obvious that the place was understaffed, although they were always polite and cheerful. The the hotel was tired and run down. Issues of repair and maintenance were quite evident. For example if you visited the gents you would be advised to wear wellingtons and take your own hand towelNon slip edging on the stairs was worn and dangerous. Fire seals on the doors were worn and should be replaced as a matter of urgency.GREEN KING SHOULD FOCUS ON IMPROVING THEIR EXISTING PROPERTIES RATHER THAN SCOOPING UP EVERY PUB THEY CAN GET THEIR GREEDY HANDS ON AND TURNING THEM INTO MEDIOCRE BOIL IN THE BAG PURVEYORS OF BOIL IN THE BAG FOOD AND ALEAll in all, if the Bell was a school being inspected by Offsted, it would be placed in "Special Measures"Looking back over previous reviews, it's obvious that standards are still falling and no lessons have been learnt. The blame cant be with the hard pressed staff, other than the cook, but squarely at Green King

Don’t know what reviews I have been reading. But got to be the worse hotel I have every stayed. In fact it’s a hostel not a hotel. The smell is sickening the cobwebs are amazing. The dirt was just astonishing. Let’s make a point we stayed in a annexe not the hotel. Dirty filthy should not be allowed. If we book it be nice to know where we will be staying. Could not hardly move in the room. Ok. We were offered a discount cause we booked with greene king before. I will never do it again. I will complain to greene king personally. I am lying in bed having had to buy air freshener from the shops because the smell was so bad. No spare rooms as fully booked. Will expect to be moved tomorrow to another room. This room has not been cleaned the dirt was horrendous. I will show you photos. Please do not come to this dirty hotel. I read nice reports so booked. My advice don’t come here. Weatherspoons has better ratings than this and is cheaper. Wished we had booked there instead but cause we had never been before we were not sure.

Well what can I say? Booked in for one night in transit to see my daughter and grandchildren. Walked in and noticed straight away the whole place needs a refurb, carpets manky and very disorganised. Waited 25 minutes at reception to book in. Got to my room (12) and had a recce, not bad but only 1 teabag for a double room. Went for a beer and some food, complained after 50 minutes because my food hadn’t turned up, surprise - my order hadn’t got through to the kitchen ! Got an upgrade from Hunters Chicken to the next one up and a free pint. Needed a very sharp knife to get through the charred food but the cold chips, dead salad and solid onion rings were a challenge. In their defence the room, shower facilities and comfort got them a reasonable review. Breakfast on Sunday wasn’t the best, I’ve had a lot better. Would I stay there again ? Probably not.

As a long-standing resident of Tewkesbury for the best part of 57 years, we returned for a family gathering 7 months after moving way. Having used the Bell Hotel as a restaurant many times in the past, I booked our stay there for the weekend. From the outside the location looks fantastic, a brilliant location opposite the magnificent Tewkesbury Abbey. There is free parking at the hotel, although this is limited, and I did notice local people using the car park to avoid the Hugh parking charges of the local authority car parks. We were lucky and managed to get the last place. The reception area is often left unmanned, as staff are multi role, having rung the bell I waited for a staff member to inform me that she would be with me ASAP but she was serving customers at the bar. Within a few minutes I had checked in and was on my way to the room, number 5, on the first floor overlooking the car park. Now the Bell hotel is an old building, but old shouldn’t mean shabby. The route to the room looked shabby, and the carpets ready for replacement. The room lock was loose and had screws missing. The room was in need of a refurbishment and there were cobwebs around the ceiling and the light fitting looked dirty. The bathroom was a good size, but needs a refurbishment the shower hose would suit a child, and the was no shower curtains so in reality, you had to have a bath. The toilet seat moved and both hot and cold taps were difficult to turn off to stop the taps dripping. I would expect that the whole accommodation area are due and are in need of a complete refurbishment.

Two of us went on Sunday 14th July on the recommendation from friends who'd been a few months prior, and really enjoyed it. Knowing their food and establishment preferences, and previous recommendations borne out, I booked with confidence. The food came out very quickly. I had the Hunter's chicken. It was microwaved to death and the breast had shrunken into a small rubber offering and the sauce was reduced to a hard treacle. A handful of chips accompanied it with no side dressing. The chips were ok but nothing to write home about. My friend had a Southern Fried Burger in a tiny bun, and chips, and she thought the same, microwaved chicken that was totally underwhelming. I would have complained but seeing the food flying out of the kitchen, and what others were clearly getting made us realise that a replacement dish would be more of the same.

She was more concerned with playing on her phone and talking to her friends than serving paying customers. When I queried why my steak was over cooked she only returned with sarcastic comments.

Service was good , meal was disappointing , my wife's Risotto had not been made with Risotto rice more like curry rice , my steak was adequate . i don't know who wrote the descriptions of the wine but they had a vivid imagination

Three of us popped in for lunch after the morning cinema. We were instantly welcomed and taken to a table of our choice. The light lunch menu was good and very well priced. We didn't have to wait long for the food to come either. We all enjoyed our meal and will happily return there later.

I visited the bell with my partner due to hearing it was under new management and we were instantly welcomed into the pub by staff. We sat down and had a meal in the restraunt and wasn’t kept waiting, the staff were very friendly and our drinks arrived very quickly, with the food following shortly behind. We had two steaks which were cooked to perfection and were delicious, I’d recommend this pub to anyone who is passing through Tewkesbury.

Group of us booked on a Saturday evening with pre ordered food, good value at £20 for 3 courses and starters very good. Couldn't say the same for mains as weird veg with my duck breast and left over from traditional turkey roast. Dessert very nice

The hotel is located opposite the Abbey and we visited this after a Christmas concert in the Abbey. We decided on theMukked Wine. Delicious. The hotel is an old style pub venue and although there for a drink we did not sample the menu. There is a large eating are to the rea. Parking did not appear to be available. Dogs were allowed in the bar. We met. A few cute ones. Sadly the log fire was not fired up and an electric fire effect one was in the hearth. It was disappointing not to see the logs a glow in the grate.

When we were inTewksbury , we tried the Bell hotel for one of their festive meals. The festive meal was a Christmas turkey dinner. It’s a very long time since we’ve had a meal as such a poor standard as this. Carrots were from frozen, sprouts just collapsed, obviously frozen, roast potatoes, from frozen, everything from frozen. It’s just one microwave meal . Very poor. No proper chef obviously , as we weren’t expecting a ping meal

Stopped for Sunday lunch passing through town and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was cosy and despite being very busy, the service was good. Food was good on both counts

Just come back from a weekend break which was made all the better by this very nice hotel which is ideally located in the town across the road from one of the most beautiful churches in England. The rooms were clean with a comfy bed and clean linen. I must make mention of the efforts of Graham and Emily who made our celebratory stay even more special, they were attentive to our every need, and whose professional approach made them perfect ambassadors for the Greene King brand.

We had pre-booked a table for 7:30 but on arrival I was told to just find a table anywhere, it transpired our table had been reserved but someone else had taken it so we were forced to sit by a table full of drunk foul mouthed people who were not even dining. We were not impressed as we had our young daughter with us. The when ordering the meals we were told they had no chips left only the skinny fries !!. I had sausage and mash, barely any mash on my plate and a meagre splash of gravy. The other meals were less than impressive and certainly not value for money. All in all a really disappointing evening. We won't return.

The car park is tiny and a nightmare - there were no spaces and even turning round to get out proved difficult - we ended up in a pay and display about a five minute walk away which is free after 5.30

This review for Badham Pharmacy at Aspen medical centre. Really needs to train staff. I would give O star as staffs were V v rude. There were two young ladies in front, one with light blue frame glasses and another one with silver nose pin, they were shouting to me for no reason even I did not ask how long I need to wait for prescription, I was just in queue and was noticing them their work and they were showing much attitude to customers and were arrogant. I had two another customers waiting in queue for prescription and Badham Pharmacy staff were taunting me by looking at me that we will have to wait as people are going to McDonald's and KFC they obviously wait for half an hour so they will wait here as well. Even though my prescription basket was ready, I was looking that for appox 15 minutes and she was not giving to me. When I remind her basket is ready and it is there she said you have to wait as I am busy with another things. Why????? Even if, it is in front of customers how long it will take to give customers. They made me wait for so long. Such a ridiculous ladies. No manners to behave with customers. If doctor hadn't sent my prescription there I would have never go this Badham Pharmacy. Moreover she was expecting thank you from me, when i didn't thank her she was shouted " excuse me say thank you " Thank you my foot to such staff.
