As part of a day out or an evening experience or just a friendly pint it is exceptional for tourists, families, or locals wanting a taste of Bristol ,next to St werbergs city farm ,a large outside garden or a cosy inside promoting local artists with a fire ,often with entertainment ,serves food and is a treat . Deffo worth a visit ,

Unbelievable, food took 45 minutes to arrive and when it did we got half a roast. Portion sizes were so small especially for the £16 price tag. Potatoes and sprouts were raw in the middle, the gravy was thin and only got 2 slices of meat. Would NOT recommend and this establishment and they should reconsider their prices, or portions of the Sunday roasts. Feel like I’ve been robbed.

Went in for lunch, this is what they served me, burger and chips for £13. Terrible presentation, small and boring burger despite the menu implying it was exciting. Burger on its own was £10, imagine paying £10 for the burger pictured. Put some effort in. Service Staff gave me extra chips, they were nice, unlike the food.

The Food at the Farm Pub used to be a rock solid guarantee; they had a small but perfectly formed menu and the dishes were cooked nicely with what tasted, and looked, like good quality ingredients, but now... well, not sure what they're playing at but it's all gone a bit Pete Tong. First off the app said 'no food orders' were being taken. On going in to the pub and asking at the bar we're told orders ARE being taken, just not via the app as they're short staffed and need to manage the flow of orders. Fair enough, but we could have so easily walked away if we'd not gone in and asked. The new menu is rather large, but sparse at the same time. There's too much from a variety of food types and nothing really shines or stands out - it all appears a bit mish mashy and unfocused. Plus there are almost no vegetarian or vegan options on it compared to before. Then, confusingly, the new menu's got this 'NCD' prefix to most of its listings. Asking what that meant (was it a new type of food standard code for organic or something?) we were told it stood for Naughty Corner something or other. A nice new neon sign was behind the bar with that moniker illuminated. Ummmm, right, I hope this means the food's gonna be good was my thought. But it was not. The burger was billed as two patties (why two thin things? I'd much rather rather have the one large home made patty tbh) with a whole host of additions and some fancy sounding chips. But the patties tasted as bad as what you'd get from a late night burger van in town. They were also an unpleasant texture too (rather a lot of gristle). The other stuff in the burger I could not taste as the cheap meat taste was so overpowering. The chips were OK, but were stone cold as they were strewn over a plate too big for what is was hosting. Also we eat with our eyes and unfortunately the presentation was as bad as a busy mum who's simply feeding her kids convenience oven chips and burgers. It was just slopped on to a plate. It really looked like an unappetising meal. NCD is rather meaningless and appears to evidence a misguided focus on styling over the quality and presentation of the food itself. The food's nowhere near as good as the pointlessly branded promotion suggests it is. The meal was certainly not worth £14 and I we shan't be going back for food. Shame really as it's was a reliable go to for so many years.

Visited with family on the spur of the moment, as it’s billed as dog friendly. Asked for menus, there weren’t any, but was told they’d send someone over. No show, so asked again. After 20 minutes we got hold of someone to take our order, although she wasn’t sure what was on the menu. Food ordered and had to be paid for immediately. When I questioned whether I could pay once we’d decided whether to have desserts, the waitress needed to ask, before saying no (was then told they don’t sell them on a Sunday????). Also told I had to order and pay for drinks separately, and that food and drink would have to be on separate orders. Ordered glasses of lemonade and realised that the post-mix was running out. When I took these back to the bar, bar staff tried the lemonade and agreed with me. Then another guy came out (manager?) and told me that their lemonade doesn’t really taste much of lemonade anyway, and that I could pay extra for bottled lemonade if I wanted. Eventually agreed to swap them for cokes instead. Food came out without much delay, and that’s about the only positive. Cold. Greasy. Cabbage not properly cooked. And served in a pool of gravy. One meal was the chicken, but I’m not sure it could be identified as chicken. Just very greasy and, ultimately, not enjoyable. The pub garden was busy, and I guess that’s the appeal of this place. Nice to sit out and enjoy a pint in the sunshine. But don’t go expecting good service, or hot edible food.

The Farm has always been a great pub in a lovely spot with a very ambient vibe. However, on this occasion, we were let down by the poor food. The new menu is limited, without even a burger for adults. My friend and I ordered a fried chicken ciabatta with chips. After a wait so long I stared to wonder if we'd been forgotten, the food arrived. The roll was dry and the friend chicken was burnt, with very little evidence of any meat inside. I will come here again but probably not bother with food unless there is any evidence that this has improved.

I used to really love this place when I lived in the area a few years ago- it’s still mega charming and lovely to sit and have drinks but the food has gone so downhill. I think it’s a new kitchen so just got to hope it improves with time. The roasts used to be absolutely massive and were the tastiest in Bristol with amazing vegetarian options. We finished our food today and were still hungry - also we were told we couldn’t order dessert. It used to be £12 for a huge stack of delicious food but today it was underwhelming and not worth the money at all.

We left this place with a sour taste in our mouth. The food is expensive, and is okay but not great. However, the main problem was the wait for the food to arrive. We ordered a couple of small plates and a side, to share, as we just wanted something to nibble with our drinks. The food took an hour to arrive while we sat there nursing our drinks trying to make them last until the food arrived. After about half an hour my partner went to the bar to enquire about our food order at which point she was informed that there was a forty five minute wait for food from time of order due to staff shortage in the kitchen. As it turned out the wait was fifteen minutes longer than that. Given that they knew there was a long wait for food it would be courteous to inform customers of this when they place their orders so that they can decide whether they wish, or are able, to wait that long. It's a simple thing to do and enables customers to make an informed decision and if they decide to order anyway expectations have been set.

There's definitely no passing trade at The Farm. It is tucked away among narrow streets in St Werburgh's, a self-contained suburb, once an old mining village, on the edge of Bristol just before the green belt. It felt almost like a country pub. The pub is spacious and comfortable, with a real fire and sofas as well as tables and dining chairs. The varied menu is all prepared on the premises, no caterers' portions, and the dishes were generous and tasty.

Around a dozen of my walking group descended on The Farm Pub today, it was my first time but two or three had been before and recommended the food. Unfortunately it was a wet day as there were several nice tables outside, but we found seats inside. We were made to feel welcome when placing our order, apart from the printed menu there was a specials board, I opted for a large beer battered fish, with triple cooked chips and peas for £7.95 which appeared good value for money, after a short while the food started to arrive, unfortunately my cod appeared to be one of those cook from frozen battered portions and the chips were the thin frozen type rather than real triple cooked, which was disappointing. I wished that I had ordered something else. I wouldn't make a point to go back to The Farm Pub, but if in the area I might give it another go.

Just left the farm after popping in for an afternoon pint after a dog walk with friends. Beer was over priced and sub-standard in taste, I also wanted food but upon looking at the menu i found everything to be over priced and pseudo-pretentious, aiming to sound fancy but generally just your run of the mill pub slop with a Harrods price tag. Staff were then rude and unfriendly towards our 6 month old puppy who was whimping as she is still in training. Staff refused to come speak to us face to face and instead insisted on shouting from an upstairs window at us. Female staff member asked us to leave due to the noise and we agreed and were more than compliant. Then another (obviously drunken) customer in the garden became aggressive and abusive towards myself, my two friends and our dogs (one of which as previously mentioned is only a 6 month old puppy). At this point the woman in the window began to support and encourage the drunken customer and then made callous remarks implying that our beloved pet was unhappy and improperly cared for. All this after we had already agreed to, and was in the process of, leaving. We then asked why she continued on with her barrage when we had already complied with her requests and been as apologetic as possible on behalf of our puppy who is still in training, as we explained to everyone involved. I would rather walk 5-10mins round the corner to a number of much more friendly and welcoming pubs who DO NOT project the unwelcoming, false-hippy attitude that The Farm creates, not to mention avoiding the outrageously over priced food and drink. All in all this was an unpleasant experience that I will not be repeating and I strongly urge anyone considering a visit to The Farm to reconsider and try any of the much nicer venues within 500 feet from the farm.

For those of you old enough to remember the 60s hit for The Swinging Blue Jeans and the Hippy Era, this pub has a nostalgic feel with painted outside walls depicting rural scenes and other reminiscences of bygone times. The music nights could be interesting if they were of the era. There was plenty of seating outside with bits of old motor bikes partially buried in the garden (deliberately) for kids to play on, It is a nice place for a lunch time snack and a drink before or after visiting the nearby Sr Werbergh's City Farm (qv). At the time of my visit, the food and service were good even though the bbq sauce was a bit heavy on the pulled pork wrap, the cask ale well looked after, and the staff friendly. We visited this local pub on Good Friday where the understaffed bar struggled to serve the punters. The service was haphazard and biased towards familiar faces in such a blatant way that it alienated everyone else. The food when it did eventually arrive was a disgrace to its description on the menu, made with no care or pride and served by a rude and disinterested waitress. The kids food offered is the worst we have been served anywhere, ever. This pub really has fallen from grace and is being propped up on goodwill more than the effort of the staff and management. A great pub located next to the City Farm, it consists of a good sized beer garden which is a very pleasant spot in the warmer weather and has a number of unusual features such as a half-buried motorbike. The pub itself is completely covered in a farm themed mural. Inside it’s quite traditional with a good range of ales and ciders on the bar. The menu offered a concise choice of “pub grub” dishes with most of the main courses being around the £8 mark. I went for a beef chilli on a bed of nachos with soured cream and guacamole and this was a decent and tasty dish, and a generous portion. Elsewhere on the table, fish & chips was also well received and a side order of skinny fries was a massive bowl full.Staff seemed friendly enough on the whole, although service at the bar was a bit hit and miss. All in all I thought this was a great pub. If you don’t mind something a bit alternative, give it a go.

We came here for a Sunday roast, only to wait an hour after paying to be told that they were out of food to make a whole roast. A bit annoying as we had paid and had been waiting so long. We asked if they could knock a bit of money off as a good will gesture as the meal was incomplete; they offered to knock a pound off the whole bill (rubbish!), so we decided to get a refund and get food elsewhere. Our issue with this is not them running out of food, but the bad customer service about it. Upon both asking for some money off and then a refund, there was a begrudging attitude from chef and staff. Upon leaving we saw a chef arguing with a customer about an order. Both as chefs ourselves it's not hard to do some very basic cooking and run a friendly roast Sunday service in a small pub. As a local I am not going to visit again and I will be advising my friends against eating here.

Excellent Sunday roast today but cider was undrinkable. When I asked for a different one, I was told it was meant to taste like that! My glass was then topped up with lemonade to try and make it palatable! Eventually after a lot of fuss, my half pint was replaced. Poor customer relations, I thought as we had already paid for 6 lunches which were delicious.

I was about to give up on this one. But thank goodness we went back after visiting the city farm. FINALLY they changed the chef. Nice food that justifies the price tag. We left the place content not just for the pints. But also finally for the food. Well done!

I had slow roast belly pork which was delicious, we had 5+ types of fresh vegetables, lovely roast potatoes, very well presented and freshly cooked. It was very busy, there were lots of families so if you don't like kids - don't go.

Came here late one night for a drink. The Farm is a great place. Very interesting set up inside and out. They seem to cater to a unique crowd which is fun. Great selection of real ales as well. Service very attentive and friendly. Loved this place. Sadly only visited once during my stay in UK. Definitely recommend the outdoor seating during summer.

I was visiting Bristol and met a friend here for a quick drink on a sunny afternoon. Really liked it. Nice friendly relaxed vibe with a large outside drinking area. I hope to return sometime soon and have more than just a coke next time...

I have only eaten here once (a Sunday roast) and it was pretty good. They serve generous portions and at a reasonable price. The outside seating area is very nice and when the sun is out this place is very busy. The clientèle is generally more alternative which suits the area.

The foods pretty good and caters for most people. The selection of larger is a bit limited and is overpriced. This is a good little place for a Sunday afternoon drink after breakfast a the Farm cafe next door. You will have to dodge the 'trustafarians' though...
