Utterly Disappointing Experience at Harvester The Griffin, I’m not even sure where to begin ,we booked afternoon table for lunch at Harvester T/G and the experience was beyond disappointing. The service from the staff was appalling. A waitress came to our table to take our order, only to walk off mid-process, chat with her colleagues, and completely forget about us. We ended up being served by about 5–6 different waiters, each of whom made mistakes when delivering our food. There were seven of us dining, and every single person received their meal at a different time. It was chaotic and incredibly frustrating. When it came time to order desserts, things somehow got even worse. We waited over 30 minutes for our puddings, and when they finally arrived, every single order was wrong and they still came out at different times. When my Ice-cream arrived it looked like soup. YES it was that bad The staff clearly have no idea what customer service means. Most of them spent the afternoon standing behind the counter chatting with each other while ignoring customers. The food itself was mediocre at best, which added to the disappointment. Please save your money and avoid this place. If this level of service continues, I wouldn’t be surprised if they shut down permanently. Absolutely disgusting service. “Management” Please consider this review as constructive feedback rather than criticism. We kindly request that you refrain from responding with an apology, as we heard "sorry" repeatedly from your staff throughout the afternoon. A truly exceptional service experience from the outset would have prompted me to leave a positive review instead.

This place is out of a storybook and so are the people working here! Michaela was wonderful in resolving my Internet connection issue - by giving a hotspot from her personal mobile 🙏 So I could send a time sensitive Teams meeting invite just in time. Thanks also for the delish Aranchini and heart warming hot chocolate. DEFO coming back 100% and HIGHLY recommend to all.

2 meals were ordered. Fish &chips &mushy peas - it looked like the peas had been watered down and the the batter was pale and uncooked The fish pie was over salted and just a mixture of mush. No consistency and somebody long blond hair in the food. The menu did not reflect the food. Farm foods could of done better. We have visited the cobwebs over 4 decades and will not be visiting again. Get yourselves some decent chefs

We recently visited the Beach House for a family lunch, bringing a group of 15 people (8 adults, 7 kids). The adults ordered starters and mains, the kids had mains, and we enjoyed wine and cocktails. The final bill was £484. However, the experience was ruined by the restaurant’s inflexibility. My daughter is a vegetarian, and unfortunately, there was nothing on the menu that catered to her dietary needs. We knew this would be an issue so we brought a sandwich and some fruit for her, since she had no other option. But the waitress informed us that outside food was not allowed, without any understanding of our situation. As a result, my wife and daughter had to leave the restaurant to eat their meal in the car, while the rest of the family stayed inside to eat. It felt incredibly unfair and left a very sour note on what should have been a pleasant family meal. For what we were spending, I would expect more accommodation for dietary restrictions or, at the very least, some understanding and flexibility in such situations. We were paying customers, and my daughter simply couldn’t eat what was on the menu. The lack of compassion from the staff was disappointing, and it’s unlikely we’ll be returning.

Went for some food with some coworkers and had the most underwhelming meal of my life. The team failed to inform us the minor wait would equate to hours of my life waiting for some chips to cook. No check backs, no good will gestures and quite honestly nobody with an ounce of customer service or drive working on shift.

Wanted to be near Exeter Quay and decided to go to Harvester as large car park for late lunch. Three or four people at tables in bar area and it looked like perhaps 1 or 2 tables occupied in dining area. We waited where it says wait to be served, no one. Went to bar. Could hear and see staff working as they were hovering around the door behind the bar and there was an obvious moment of panic when we nearly caught someone’s eye and they quickly jumped back into the back room so they definitely knew we were there but still absolutely no one came to help us. Felt almost like they were hiding until we gave up. After about ten minutes we realised there was absolutely no chance of any service, walked out and found somewhere else to spend our money. Thoroughly unimpressed.
