We had a lovely stay here. The Sunday lunch is absolutely amazing, wish we lived local so we could visit again!! The stayed one night and had a beautiful room with a nice big bath which was needed after a long walk. Breakfast was again amazing with lots of choice on offer!

This place is tucked away behind the Hutton Moor Leisure centre, so you may need to use your sat. nav. to find it if you're not local! There's plenty of car parking space but just remember to enter your vehicle registration number when you go into the restuarant. Its a quite spacious interior with plenty of room between tables; there's a bar area on the left hand side (with access to an outside area in fine weather) and the restarant area is on the right. You have to wait at the door to be seated and sometimes this can take some time if they are busy or there aren't enough staff on duty! The menu is quite extensive with all the favourite Beefeater dishes and some pub classics; there is also a menu featuring everything priced at under £8 but this is only available Monday - Fridays 12 noon to 5pm and not on bank holidays. I had the char grilled gammon which was very tasty (and not too salty!) which came with chips (delicious!) and peas followed by a lemon and raspberry semifreddo which was very good. There is a full bar service with a good choice of beers and wines. Service can be a little slow but the staff are friendly and very pleasant.

Can’t fault the location but the quality of food and high prices don’t match!! Ordered a pizza which tasted of nothing- very doughy and looked straight out of a freezer than freshly made. Toppings were non existent. Drinks- OMG - £20 for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and £7 for a pint of Korev!!!! Won’t be back!

The breading of the fish and ships was really not good (only greasy and without any consistency), normal pea puree/fries. No lemon. The sauces were individually packaged, the tartar sauce tasted absolutely not like tartar sauce. Very little choice in beers (all the kegs were empty and apparently nothing in stock), I had to take a bottled beer which tasted nothing good. Bar door open, it was really cold to eat. The staff was very nice despite everything, too bad!
