The best restaurants serving British food in South West

Very disappointed! I’ve been visiting this Pub for nearly 15 years and this is the worst experience. Went for lunch and prices were averaging £12-£15 per item. The food we were served wasn’t worth the price at all. Asked for a small pot of gravy instead of beans for my kids meal and was charge £2 extra. Kids meals were £7.50 which didn’t include a drink and a small fruit shoot was £2! Most pubs do a Meal Deal including drinks and desert for £5.95. Absolute rip off with the standard of foot served. Will not be returning!

Went on a Sunday and was a little disappointed with the food , but decided to try again before my friend went home , so came back down on a Tuesday and what a difference , the food was hot and delicious And what can I say about the staff , one lovely lady called Becks doing everything , she's a credit to the company, exceptionally friendly welcoming, the poor woman was rushed off her feet doing it all (she was the only one on the floor ) from booking in , taking orders , clearing plates , re filling, everything She's absolute star ⭐ Shame on you beefeater, get some more staff

Wrong drink, very slow service, some of the food inedible, long wait at the door to be seated with staff ignoring us

Great views.. but relatively expensive for the quality. I got the burger loaded fries but there literally only 5 tiny pieces of burger meat. Someone in our group got the nachos but that was basically a plate of tortilla chips with cheese sauce and some jalapeños and tiny sauces. Not awful but expensive for what it is. Kids burger was tiny. Service was great.. lovely staff.

this used to be an ok pub but now it seems to be closing down and was only open for Premier Inn guests. Menu choice was terrible and expensive and the food when it came was really poor. Premier Inn seem to be building a restaurant in their hotel and getting rid of this pub. Shame for the community.

we always try to find a Wetherspoons while on holiday because we know we can get good food and drink at a reasonable price as always the staff we friendly and helpful

Very busy and indifferent service. Confusing and time consuming on line ordering system for drinks and snack, not food, which isn’t made clear. Food selection very grim and largely devoid of any healthy options. A worse experience than we expected and we walked out,

We consider ourselves very lucky to have the White Lodge as our "local"!

Great location right on the beach with lovely views. Great selection on the salad bar. Our server was Dale he was approachable, chatty and polite.

Good value cocktails, good vibes and music. Luke and Thomas helped to recommend cocktails on the night. Worth the 2-4-1

Very nice setting, very nice staff, nice drinks

As always the staff were fab - friendly, helpful and professional The food was lovely - the beer and the wine are always great The downside to this visit (& we visit often) was the loos - they were a total mess and it’s not the staffs fault - they are all super busy looking after the customers - they do not stop their whole shift - I think there needs to be more staff per shift We will be back we love the pub, the staff and the setting/views
