The best restaurants serving British food in South West

Really poor pizza, cheapest was margherita at £14. Need to make an effort with homemade dough and balances seasoning to get away with charging that kind of money.

I love coming here 🩷 really nice setting with really friendly staff. I can’t recommend the food enough! It is delicious and you get well worth your money.

It’s been quite a while since I’ve eaten here as a customer, and it was as delightful as I remember. Excellent service from Luke & team, an excellent menu and a great vibe in the dining area made up for it. All four of our meals were first class and it was a joy to return. Great to see that while things may have changed quite a bit in Salcombe, the King’s Arms is as good as ever!

Always enjoy a pensioners fish and chips here. Great value and a good size portion for me complete with cup of tea. The only downside is the peas, I would prefer garden peas as I don't like mushy peas. Friendly staff.

We experienced a number of problems at this hotel and cannot recommend it. Our allocated room was very small for the price we paid. The central heating was not working in our room. The radiator was barely warm and it sounded as if it was full of air. A bedside lamp was not working and on closer inspection the wiring was loose and exposed. I complained at reception and we were offered another room. Unfortunately the heating in there was also faulty. A third was initially heated, though by the morning it also stopped working. The TV was faulty and constantly dropped off the connection. We were unable to eat in the restaurant as it was booked for a Christmas party. I am sorry to say that in our opinion the reality did not come close to the internet description. It is true that there was a nice coffee machine and biscuits but this does not compensate when the basics are not there. In my opinion this is not a boutique hotel as described, but a rather tired town pub in need of a major upgrade.

Attended a family meal for father in law. Food was lush, would deffo come back again

A welcoming and friendly pub which serves a decent range of beers and spirits, good food and a brilliant Sunday lunch roast. A rugby fans pub where internationals and rugby union premiership are regularly shown and occasionally European football. Its got a comfortable seating area long bar and booths and very easy parking. Lovely family team and they love a bit of banter and friendly chat with their customers. Highly recommended.

We decided to eat at The White Hart because of a good recommendation, we haven't been disappointed, the service was exceptional, João and his staff are brilliant and very attentive, the food was delicious and very good value for money. I would recommend this pub/restaurant to anyone.

Enjoyed our local cycling club Xmas dinner here, for 26 people. Very good food, delivered with seasonal cheer. Staff did a great job with our large group and dietary options in the menu. Wide choice of excellent beers on draught; and at a sensible price. A local treasure.

Call In here now and again to have some food or a couple of drinks . Warm Welcome every time , will keep Going back , and the food is fantastic

Nice enough room but no one turned up for breakfast. Waited for an hour in empty pub, gave up and left.

Serve a good pint, atmosphere is great, and sell the best packets of ham and mustard in the business.
