The best restaurants in South West

Went for Sunday Lunch with family. Great food and service. Plenty of wine choices too

I have tried to make a review and am being blocked. We did not enjoy our meal here

Stopped for a pint, cracking set up and friendly people. Looking forward to a fuller visit!

Food was delicious A complaint the coffee cups we had were only half filled with coffee and milk It was this that stopped a 5*

Visited Steve and the Yellow Bicyclists for a couple of their supper clubs. Always an outstanding and fun evening with gorgeously prepared and cooked food, served with a smile. We understand that Steve will be hanging up his apron, so thank you for everything and good luck for the future. You deserve it.

Visited The Boathouse with the family today. We ate the Sunday roast which was fantastic. Food was excellent, plentiful and well presented. Great value. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Thoroughly recommended.

Took the grandkids. Selection of kids meals cheesy chips fish cod bites and chicken nuggets. Generous portions well cooked and cod was perfect fresh and flaky. Staff were friendly and service good.

Staff brilliant and food excellent

We are regulars at the Chew and it never disappoints! In for lunch yesterday and can honestly say the food and service continues to be the best in class! Jane had Sea Bass which was cooked and presented perfectly. I had Calves Liver and it was the best I have ever had! As usual, the girls doing the hard yards waiting on everyone did a great job. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and welcoming. The Chew Kitchen really is gem of a place and truly deserves its 5 star ratings! Andy & Jane Hunt

Visited in February so it was fairly quiet. There was a real fire and a warm welcome. We didn't eat but the menu looked good and the beer was lovely! Great service in a friendly atmosphere. The place was quite small so I would recommend booking a table if you want to eat there. There is also a covered area outside.

Lovely pub situated by the river Tavy. Friendly staff and good menu selection. Specialty being slow cooked meats on 3 smoke ovens. Good size portions.

Really loved this place. Lots of tasty beer to try and great service behind the bar. A gem in Old Town

NOW PERMANENTLY CLOSED. Was one of the best places to eat but now sadly closed since Xmas.

Definitely the best place to eat, great food, great prices and great staff, try to go at least once a month. Nothing is to much trouble, if you fancy a dish but you think it might be too spicy they can adjust the strength, just ask 👍🏻
