We had the regular fish and chips, fish was huge, they do an extra large fish as well, hate to see how big that one is, also had the fish trio, OMG, it was so tasty, fish was cooked perfect and the seafood sauce, could have eaten on its own, would come back just for that dish, staff were all helpful and friendly, welcoming, also had dog, brought bowl over for her,

I had a lovely beef burger,wife had the chicken burger and my dad had the belly draft pork.Really big portions and really cooked well.

Food was lovely, staff are friendly and I recommend sitting outside when it's nice and hot out.

Great food fish and prawns are nice and fresh, the best is the pork belly! Might be the best pork crackling I have ever tasted in the UK and I have been here almost 10 years.

We stopped off in Weston today, on our way home from Salcombe. There were 5 of us plus a dog and we came across The Waterfront. It was extremely windy so we asked if they could seat us inside. We were shown to a table and a bowl of water was brought to us for the dog. The service throughout our meal was excellent and the food was amazing!! The batter on our fish was so nice and our son and partner’s tapas dishes were all really tasty. My other son complained that he had too many chips with his scampi!! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Unfortunately there was no option to put a tip on the bill and none of us had any cash. We felt so bad which is why I felt I had to write a review and say that we were sorry not to be able to leave something for all your hard work. Hopefully we’ll be back again one day!

Apsalutely awful We ordered pulled beef ragu and got sent creamy chicken pasta which was over cooked and bland Then told them all they could say was sorry didn’t offer replacement and will never be coming back here. Apsalutely appalled.

We came 8 th July was a cloudy day but sat out side ax we have our dog , we looked at menu and had a chat with Luke who served us and he explained everything, the food was lovely great recommendation from him. The young lady was also great giving our pooch some treats , was a lovely lunch and if in the area again would definitely come back good team 👍😊

Just wanted to drop you a line about our experience at the waterfront restaurant today. It was truly a great place to eat! The staff were incredibly friendly, and it was such a plus that they catered to our dog as well. The food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Not to mention, the lovely view overlooking the beach added to our pleasant experience. We would certainly recommend this place to others

Definitely the best Sunday roast in WSM The biggest Yorkshire pudding! Tasty veg including cauliflower cheese and crispy roasties We also had the sticky toffee pudding which was delicious Only criticism is that the kids meals are far too big, maybe they need an under 5s menu Overall the best meal of our holiday Staff are super friendly and helpful too

Came out for my best friend's birthday to weston and was greeted at the door, was shown to a table and given menus, the server had a great attitude and could banter. The food came out nicely presented and hot! Was very impressed. Will definitely be back.

I highly recommend this restaurant! It's lovely and clean, the staff are extremely professional and courteous, and the food is the best I've had in a long time ( and I eat out a lot). My hubbie had the mini prawn sanganaki starter which he said was absolutely delicious and spicy the way he likes it. For mains he had belly pork with the best crackling he's ever tasted. It came with bacon bubble and squeak and seasonal veg and gravy. Delicious. I had a cheesy garlic flatbread for starters and beef and mushroom pie for main with mash and seasonal veg. All freshly homemade and delicious. Did was so gorgeous we squeezed in night and day New York cheesecake for desserts. Now I can't move 🤣

Stopped for late morning tea/coffee. Lovely location, great service and nice coffee. To order a pot of tea and get a pot of hot water without asking is such a rarity. Will be back for food another time as it looked delicious. A perfect spot to stop.

What a lovely restaurant! Coming from London, it was actually amazing to have a peaceful dinner at a quiet restaurant and actually be able to hear what my husband is saying. The restaurant is dog friendly as well, which is amazing! The food was delicious! We had 3 starters to share - pan friend King prawns, korean chicken wings and the baby squid. Super tasty! For mains we had the battered cod which was just as delicious as everything else! It's worth noting that there is a standard battered cod and also an extra large option. I can only imagine what the extra large would be if the standard is already huge! Husband had a cider and I had a mojito. Both very happy with our drinks. The service was amazing! Our waitress was super friendly but not too much, if you know what I mean! We were left in peace to enjoy our dinner but they also made sure we are OK and happy with the food. Absolutely perfect! We'll definitely be having dinner there again before we leave Weston!

A Greek salad, pitta bread and chicken was £18. We asked for a child’s portion but the chef refused (our kid is just 9 years old). The salad was mostly mixed leaves from a bag, a tiny amount of feta, a couple of cherry tomatoes and 4 olives. The skinny chicken breast was reheated and very dry. Definitely the worst value for money we’ve seen in Weston so far… and so short sighted!! We won’t be going back.

My partner, her sister, and I - accompanied by our four dogs - visited the Waterfront last weekend. We were made extremely welcome by a lovely lady who came out to greet us and told us we could all come inside with our dogs, out of the cold and wind! We received really friendly service. We all had coffees and chips (which were great!) and the dogs were all given doggy biccies! We were all really impressed and I would definitely go back again. Highly recommended!

The worst Sunday lunch I have ever eaten, well I didn’t eat it to be honest. The restaurant is in a very nice spot and the staff are attentive and helpful but the food was appalling. There wasn’t anything that was even slightly edible, how do you get a Sunday lunch so epically wrong. Veggie option was still frozen in the middle, the vegetables were tasteless, the meat dry, the Yorkshire puddings were bland and the gravy was watery. In fairness to the restaurant we didn’t complain, so they didn’t have a chance to put anything right, as the whole lunch was so bad we didn’t want to try anything else, just wanted to pay and leave. As I’ve said before, the staff were nice and the location was lovely but that isn’t enough to compensate from the dreadful food.

We usually have a good Sunday lunch here and it’s a nice place with indoor and outdoor seating and a good view But we were most disappointed today One of our group is vegan and they used to do a good vegan roast But they’ve stopped it now and there’s only vegetable strudel, vegetarian, not vegan ☹️ The only vegan thing available was Dahl, which he’s not fond of, so he ended up just ordering a bowl of chips They don’t do as much variety as they used to, and a couple of dishes weren’t available, I think they prefer people to go for their roasts And the food quality was a bit mixed The roasts were OK but they brought my cauliflower cheese 10 minutes before my dinner for some reason so it was cold They used to bring all the vegetables in separate dishes, but now it’s just all put out on the plate and covered in gravy before you get it One of us ordered the large cod and got served a medium and smaller one instead, but he said it was well cooked The sauce on the salmon teriyaki was weird and like no teriyaki sauce we’ve tasted before but the vegetable saganaki with Greek salad was excellent But the worse part was they forgot our vegans’s chips! So we were all eating our dinners and he was sat there with nothing at all, not even chips 😯 And the waitress was a bit short with us when we asked where they were They brought them eventually and did provide him with a bowl of green veg when I asked And the people serving were working hard and very pleasant and helpful apart from a bit of grumpiness over the chips But it put us off and I doubt if we’ll go back anytime soon If you go on a Sunday you’re better off having the roast dinner and the menu isn’t at all vegan friendly

Was very impressed with the customer service. Went out of their way to romantically decorate the table for a date upon request. Food was very good and service was prompt.

We visited the Waterfront today and were greeted by a lovely helpful waitress. Our food was lovely and the waitress was so nice she even helped me with my Mum who was in a wheelchair. I wish I had asked her name as she was just amazing. Thank you!

A great experience here every time. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The food is great. The covered sea view terrace is awesome. Never been disappointed.

My daughter and I often come here for lunch. This time the food, although always wonderful, seemed exceptionally good! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, scoffing the feta salad, cheesy chips and dish of olives! Yummy! The staff are jolly and efficient and there is inside and outside seating. The toilets are pristine! Highly recommended.

The menu is great choices of food which caters for various tastes. I went for British classic cod and chips. Great portions, superb quality food.

Quite expensive food was OK but run out due to lack off stock. Not too bad location was setting up in October for Xmas dinners. Drinks expensive aswell

The meal was lovely and plenty off it .. the other was a burger was excellent but not cooked well done as requested..however did eat it ..we were waiting and waiting to pay bill as 2 members off staff fixing blinds outside!! So my husband went inside to find some one to pay which he did so he paid bill when then walked out and started to walk along path so we were shocked and horrified the waiter camerunning after us shouting have you payed your bill ? We replied yes off course went inside..he then says well can you wait their while I check!! After the stress caused to me I got back home to then phone hotel and spoken to a manger who said o I am sorry about that !! Not acceptable!!

Walked in on a busy Saturday evening. Great selection of food. All cooked well. Told a 30 minute wait and the food came in 25 mins. Our new favourite place in Weston!

Very disappointed with this place. Went with friends. My wife & I had the vegetable moussaka with greek salad at £16 a head. Very poor. Child size half full dish of moussaka & greek salad had a few crumbs of feta...also very small. One of our friends had an individual greek salad with pitta....again his was also very basic...only crumbs of feta & poor pitta bread at £12. We are local but probably wouldn't ever use again!

After having a terrible experience down the road we called in here for a cuppa after a stroll along the front. We had our dog with us and were welcomed with open arms. The staff we encountered were polite and friendly. We liked the bowls of water for dogs left out to help yourself too. Service with a smile and a bit of a chat goes a long way and is appreciated. We only stopped for a cuppa however we are in Weston regularly and would definitely pop in for food next time.

We go there so often that Merrilyn remembers our choices! We usually have olive salad, feta salad and cheesy chips! Wonderful pots of tea! Smith's is a very well-known hotel which accommodates overnight stays or simply restaurant food on the ground floor. Really nice there! Go and see...

booked a table for Mum's 91st birthday lunch - inside in case of weather! Greeted on arrival and after dithering decided on the outdoor area as our server said they would leave the inside set up in case we were cold and wanted to move - so considerate Nothing was too much trouble - vegetable moussaka very highly rated and trout fishcake special was also beautiful. Mum enjoyed delicious scampi and lovely, crispy chips were enjoyed by everyone. We will definitely return - thank you

I chose to go here with my wife and parents for my birthday on a Saturday evening, the inside was pretty old school cafe style and not in a nice way. The prices of food seemed good but once the food arrived we had the food it was nothing more than weatherspoons dinner. All the food came out bar my mum's which when I went to the bar and mentioned it they were already trying to cover up it had been forgotten. The waitress eventually came and apologized twice but we weren't even offered a free soft drink as an apologise. I work in customer service and this was absolutely terrible. won't be returning at all

Stopped here for lunch today, family of 3 and our dog. We sat outside. Food was lovely, cod and chips was really good. Waitress was welcoming and pleasant, even brought a dish of water our for our pooch with a few biscuits. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thank you!

Was really looking forward to eating at this place, but I must say never again! Firstly the staff were clueless. On two occasions the waiter brought out the food and told us he didn't have a clue what he had and we would have to sort it ourselves. No joke! When my burger came it was burnt to kingdom come and my wife's dish was awfully. I never complain, but I had to say something this time. I wish I hadn't bothered. The waitress looked at the burnt piece of whatever on my plate and just said 'oh so it wasn't good?'. I'll let the picture speak for itself. I would never recommend this place to anybody, and that saddens me to say so.

We come here for food while passing. The waiter that seated us disappeared but the lady who took over at the front of house was amazing and very accommodating. The food was lovely, we all enjoyed our meals and would recommend this restaurant!

Very quite when we went on 13th April 2023. The menu had changed slightly and 2 meals I was debating between were no longer available, so my mind was made up for me. I chose an alternative Crispy Belly Pork and I was not disappointed, it was yummy. Waitress service top marks, very friendly and courteous. Would recommend The Waterfront to anyone, easy access, outdoor dining, dog friendly, a good all rounder!

Location excellent - right on the sea front. Service faultless, polite and prompt. A big let down was the food and price. Had the burger (at £12.30) as the fish n chips was outrageously pricey (at £16 or thereabouts). The burger tasted bland to put it mildly - complete with one slice of lettuce and a bit of a tomato. The bap disintegrated. The slaw was a couple of tablespoons worth. All lacking taste. There are takeaways very nearby selling fish n chips under £8 and burgers for just over a tenner. The two stars are on accounts of the location and service. As for the food; way below standard - one star.

Great venue for meals and socialising.

Good outside covered seating area with heating and away from the elements. A nice inside bar area too. Good choice of drinks etc pricing is ok. Coffees and teas available too. Offers food and Sunday lunch closes easier than you may think so it is worth checking ahead what time it closes. Worth a visit if in that area of Weston

Amazing. The food is of such a high quality. The fish is superb, it doesn't feel oily or greasy. We had a range of Tapas, and it was really nice! They were of a decent portion each, and there was a wide variety of things on the menu. The desserts were really good as well - not too sweet at all! The customer service was top-notch as well. The view - really nice. I would love to go again, it was such a wonderful experience, and for myself and my family, a superb end to our holiday :D .

My little boy had the crispness, lightest fish and chips we have ever tried. My chicken burger was made with chicken breast which was moist, my husband had Thai prawns with rosemary bread and my youngest fussy eater enjoyed his crunchy chicken nuggets. Everything was already well seasoned so just check before adding more salt. There were other young families enjoying drinks and food and there was indoor and outdoor seating. Good food but very bad service for the price. They gave me my main without any cutlery or napkins and when I asked for it, they forgot. Nobody came to check for 10+ minutes and my food got cold by the time i got the cutlery to eat. Glassware and napkins were not clean as well. Restaurant was not busy.

Poor service from start to finish waited almost 20 for our drink to turn up (only 1 other person in the restaurant). Food turned up quickly 4 overcooked burgers mine was burnt no flavour and very chewy the bun wasnt toasted so it fell apart after the 1st bite... The coleslaw was dreadful and almost warm.. The chip were the best part....!!!! And took ages to get the overpriced bill... 75 quid for 4 burgers and chips!!!! To sum up simple food cooked very badly will not return.
