Table for 8 Sunday Lunch (70th Birthday) Food was excellent. Only knocking a star off as we didn't realise on a Sunday the other items on the standard menu are not available and it's Sunday lunch's served only and there is no children's menu. We had some disappointed children (adults were more than happy). It would have been nice to know this when booking on the phone the day before is my only negative feedback. When I asked if they could maybe do some chips for the kids the chef refused. Maybe just one to bear in mind for familes if you were going to go on a Sunday and this is helpful to know. Service on the day though other than the above friendly enough and atmosphere and setting positive overall.

Exceptional We called in for lunch and were so surprised. The quality of the food is immense. We had a ploughman’s to share and some other small plates. The Scotch Egg was simply amazing. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere and impeccably cleans and well maintained. Highly recommended!

Went to the pub about a month ago and saw on our anniversary, they were doing a quiz night. So to make it a night we invited friends ( on a school night ) and had a really good night. They did food and the quiz for £5 pp, with money going to local charity. They are now doing quiz 3rd Monday of each month. We also popped in the following Saturday during a good long walk and had food. Can highly recommended the Buddha Bowl and Ploughman’s. Lovely high end food.

So glad we finally managed to visit The Queen's! What a lovely pub! Sunday lunch was amazing, I had the fish option and it was cooked perfectly. Loads of side veg as well, we especially liked the cauliflower and leek cheese gratin. Loads of nice ales on tap as well. We loved the decor inside, and the outside looked welcoming with bright hanging baskets. Special shout out to the staff there, so polite, welcoming and attentive. We will definitely be back!

This is a quaint 16 century lnn. It's a well attended village pub with loads of character. It's comfortable ,friendly, with a feel good atmosphere. We have visited in the past for a drop in drink on our way home from Weston. We decided to eat on Sat night the staff were most accomadationing. The food is pub grub but we'll cooked and prepared. Well worth a visit.

Sunday lunch with a large group of people brought about mixed reviews. However, I had the roast beef Sunday lunch and it was one of the very best I've had in many pubs before. The food was first rate and cooked just as I like it (of course this is personal preference)....excellent quality ingredients and perfectly cooked. The pub itself is a beautiful old English pub with a lovely and friendly atmosphere. The staff were excellent, polite, charming and and engaging. I'd highly recommend the Queens Arms in Bleadon and can't wait to return.

Went as group of 18 and preordered for Sunday lunch. Waited ages for the few starters and eventually mains. Mains came out, Waited for veg in side dishes plus gray plus no apple sauce/ horseradish had to keep asking? Not impressed , appreciate difficulty of large group booking but don’t accept if you can’t cope!! Most of us would not return on that experience! Food barely warm when all dishes materialised. 3 staff not sufficient at busy times. Lovely village pub I’ve known for years with lots of ups and downs and I feel not showing it’s best currently.

We were visiting family who live in the village. We normally go to the Queens for a meal. The last time was maybe 2 years ago, and the place was empty, with no atmosphere, and the food menu was less than inspiring. Fast forward to last night. The place was packed, a great atmosphere and a really good menu. The food was very good and nicely precented . The staff were very friendly. What a difference!

Very nice, but sadly the chips tasted a little stale, as if they had been reheated. It was a real shame as the steak was fantastic. The staff were very nice and apologetic, but the offer of a free drink or a reduction on the bill would have made a huge difference. Nice atmosphere, but a shame there wasn't a fire roaring as it was a grim night outside. A few minor tweaks and this would be a 5 star place.

My wife and I had a brilliant Sunday Lunch at the Queens Arms in Bleadon yesterday. I had garlic mushrooms on toast as a starter and Pam had smoked salmon and prawns. Both dishes were beautifully presented and were absolutely delicious. We both had loin of pork main meals. Large portions of sliced loin of pork served with tasty crackling and superb selection of vegetable dishes. All served piping hot. In all a meal that I am more than happy to recommend to anyone. A big thank you to the proprietors for serving up a top notch meal!

Our friend who lives locally brought me and my sister to the Queens Arms for lunch. Our friend had the Butcombe ale pie with mash, my sister and I had the Panko chicken burrito with salsa beans and avocado! We were so impressed with the superb variety of flavours and told Lizzie and Sharon that it was the best-presented meal we'd ever had! We gave our compliments to the chef! The Queens Arms is a delightful pub/restaurant in a tucked away part of gorgeous Bleadon village, with original parts built in the 16th century which makes it Tudor! Marvellous oak beams and old wooden doors, deep window recesses! If only walls could speak! Highly recommended!

The man and woman who first sat myself and my friends down were lovely and very welcoming, but I was made to feel real uncomfortable by the chef. Being vegan, I tend to not ask for menu adjustments because of not being treated particularly nicely for it before, but my friend asked if the veggie burger could be made vegan at all. The chef then stormed out about 5 minutes later and said "right who out of you is the vegan" I said I was and he gestured at me and said "yeah I thought so" and he cheered when we said we wanted to settle up. It was pretty rude to be spoken to like that and I felt really embarrassed. If it had been a problem making anything vegan I'd always said I would have been happy with chips to make things easier as I know it's not always possible.

Went here on a Friday night, When booking they were struggling to fit us in, so we went a little earlier. There were 3 of us and the dog. We were seated in a very nice courtyard to the rear which suited us perfectly. We promptly ordered our drinks which arrived in good time. We ordered a couple of cheesy garlic ciabattas as a starter which took around 10-15 minutes. They were brilliant!! loads of cheese and 2 were more than enough for the 3 of us. My wife had the Hunters Chicken and I had the Peppered Pork from the specials board, both with chunky chips and salad. My daughter had the Chicken and fries from the main menu. The slaw was amazing!! All 3 meals were beautifully presented and delicious. The portion size was fantastic. Our bill was less than £50 which represented very good value for money. We were in, fed and watered in an hour. The only problem was, we found The Queens on the last day of our holiday otherwise we'd have gone back again. Best place we ate at all holiday.

Visited the pub as a family of four. Waited some time to be acknowledged and seated at our reserved table. The pub was not busy. Ordered our Sunday roast which was very nice although sadly no crackling with the pork. During our meal we had to listen to a staff member talk about ‘stabbing children’ with a couple on a nearby table despite clearly sitting with our own children. No plates were cleared from our table once we were finished, we actually moved the plates ourselves to the next door table after about 20minutes. No one asked us if our meal was ok when they removed the plates from the neighbouring table, nor did they ask if we would like desert, which we had hoped to have! In the end we got fed up so went to pay - had hoped to raise this with the staff but yet again no one asked how anything had been for us! A real shame.

Great experience. Fabulous service and great food. I think the nut tree is really good value for money, it’s a definite cut above the chain restaurants nearby and it’s nice to have the choice. I went alcohol free a few years ago and I really appreciate good alcohol free choices. I had a seedlip and tonic but they also had a couple of alcohol free beers and a cider.
