Popped into The Wellington situated in the centre of the village with ample parking at rear. Inside is a traditional style pub with seperate areas for pool and dining. There is a log fire for extra warmth. The staff are both welcoming and helpful. The menu had a large variety of choice and the food was delicious to the point we have booked for a return visit. Outside there is a lit covered area as well as a beer garden. Overall definitely recommended for both a drink and for food

Go every month for the quiz. Super cosy and great food.

After walking some of the Tamar Trails wanted a light snack and a drink, called up to check as after 2.00pm and welcomed. Incredible pub of old, good atmosphere as a few locals in and unbelievable value for money for selection of panini, jacket potato and sandwiches along with liquid refreshments. Loved the events blackboard, the stand out DJ Pork Pie, a must see surely!! Thanks for a great lunch and welcome, can’t wait to revisit.

Good beer food people and friendly

Just had roast dinner & it was absolutely delicious. The beef was cooked perfectly and melted in the mouth and the vegetables & potatoes were amazingly flavoursome. Will most definitely be returning as the staff were also fantastic and extremely welcoming 😊 Thank you.

I would highly recommend visiting I came across the pub while I was out walking, lovely atmosphere made to feel welcome excellent beer and very friendly bar staff served with a smile ,will definitely be returning 😊

Super friendly team here and pretty much everything is delicious. I can particularly recommend the almond croissants and quiches 😋

Perfect, unspoilt village local in East Devon. Friendly service and very well kept Otter Bitter real ale. Outside seating with a view of the church. Will certainly return. (Did not eat so food score refers to the beer)

This pub has so much daylight coming in, it feels so light, and with lovely riverside seats, it's the perfect place for a summer drink! The staff are lovely, both the bar staff and waiters and waitresses. The food is lovely too! Would highly recommend

Vine aquí para una comida de almuerzo en San Valentín y fue absolutamente impresionado por cada aspecto de este restaurante. se sentía como entrar en casa de alguien (en una manera peculiar encantadora) el ambiente era encantador, la comida era un lugar, cada plato lleno de sabor, a un precio muy razonable incluyendo la carta de vinos. El servicio fue excelente, nos atendieron por una joven con tatuajes que escuchamos que era la hija / segundo propietario, muy bien informado, nos explicó el menú en detalle y nos ayudó a elegir qué menú degustación elegir. Yo mismo soy propietario de una hospitalidad y este lugar está haciendo todo bien. Volveremos.

This was an unplanned stop off, but what a revelation! This is how service stations should be: local produce, gorgeous food. I’d take a detour just to go to this service station. Beautifully landscaped, too.
