This was an unplanned stop off, but what a revelation! This is how service stations should be: local produce, gorgeous food. I’d take a detour just to go to this service station. Beautifully landscaped, too.

So Gloucester Services are now so good and experience for feeding the soul on a long trip (Darlington to South Wales!) it leaves all the rest behind. It is on another planet to the usual experience....just so glad that the M5 takes you to that other planet!

I visited at 5pm on a weekday evening. The shop staff were utterly amazing and couldn’t do more to be friendly and polite. I decided that I’d grab some Quick Food and went to the to-go kitchen. Long story short, they’d run out of chips to accompany the pies. They’d also run out of chai latte. The guy was totally disinterested in service. His kitchen colleague couldn’t be arsed to do more chips. Despite a lot of pies still remaining. I opted to walk round the corner to the main restaurant where surprise surprise, tons of chips, pies and chai latte. Common sense costs nothing to nip to the other kitchen when you’re low on stock. Versus “computer says no!” Disappointed Westmorland. You can do better.

Excellent food and choice. Food is always hot, well made and tasty. The farm shop has a great selection of foods too. A great spot on the motorway to stop for a drink, rest and bite to eat.

When heading south on the M5, Gloucester is always my preferred stop. Southbound is great - brilliant dog walk and outside area. This year we were even treated to carol singers whilst we ate. Toilets immaculate. Prices are high, but you normally get good quality. The gluten free selection is lacking. The one hot meal we could get didn’t taste that great. Kids eating for £1 was helpful though. Since our last visit in 2023, prices have dramatically increased in farm shop. We live in the countryside close to a farm shop so are used to their “bespoke products and pricing”, however £5.25 for a sausage roll is a tad ridiculous. My pie and chips was £9.40. The pie was delicious but the chips well, lacked quantity for over £3 Stopping northbound today, and I was just disappointed. Toilets weren’t clean, and they didn’t have the gluten free option in the hot selection. The cold salads were an option but with nothing to go with it, can’t do that as a meal and the price was overpriced for a salad! Once again, northbound let southbound down. 5 stars for south, -2 for north!

We used to love this place, and we really want to love it again! However the owners are making this difficult by failing to supply any Chademo charging points. There used to be at least 2 Chademos on each side of the motorway. However since a flashy touch-screen refurb of the charging points, there are now about 10 Tesla ones and 10 CCS ones, none of which work with our shiny one-year-old Nissan Leaf. Which makes no sense. Well, you wouldn't dream of opening a petrol station with no diesel, so why have an electric charging station with no Chademo? We are just ordinary people who work hard to pay off our lovely electric car, giving all we pass by the chance to breathe clean air, and charging it from our solar powered roof whenever there is enough light - but you don't make us at all welcome. Meanwhile there are 10 Tesla charge points - people who can afford a Tesla aren't your average customer, so it also feels discriminatory and not inclusive. Please reconsider the flash refurb and install at least 4 Chademos per side (any fewer would lead to queues). Thank you!

Once great now soooo expensive and not very clean. A mid morning visit, low stocks, tasteless cumberland sausage rolls at a premium price. Toilets a mess. Floor needs a clean. Fuel one of the most expensive in the country, bit like the sausage rolls. Over rated.

Had a takeaway sausage bap for £6.95 - sausage was ok but it was just on a dry bun, you would think at that price a bit of butter could be used! Also had a latte at £3.95 with the bap - was ridiculously hot and burnt my tongue on the first sip. I’m not one to moan but it was actually dangerous it was that hot.

This service station has definitely gone downhill. Arrived at around 10.00am looking for a decent coffee and breakfast snack. I remembered the (previously) fabulous sausage in a bap, so headed for the quick bites section. Staff disinterested, only interested in chatting in the kitchen. Was told there were no sausages, so opted for the halloumi and tomato bap. Coffee arrived, no food…. Finished coffee, asked where my food was. Clearly order hadn’t been passed on,or the endless chatting by all staff in the kitchen was a big distraction! Asked to cancel my food order and was told my halloumi bap would be ready in 30secs. Finally delivered, left to eat it in the car. What a total waste of calories. The 30secs obviously was how long the contents were in the microwave!! A tasteless bap, with a lukewarm slice of insipid, pale halloumi ( grilled halloumi was at least what I expected) laid on a smear of stone cold, sour tomato relish ( it was so awful I’m not sure what is was). Absolutely horrible. Total waste of time and money. So disappointed, from a place that used to pride itself on its’ freshly cooked ( not microwaved) food. Never again.

Scolding hot coffee, still too hot 20 minutes later - surely unnecessary to heat it that high. This is my third visit I’ve regretted but sadly I can confirm it’s really gone downhill. The queues were a shambles on my previous visit and the last three flat white coffees did not taste good.

Having read some of the latest reviews of the northbound Gloucester Services I have to agree with most of the negative comments. Upon arriving ordered a cheese and onion pie which was very nice, also ordered an Americano with cream, this is where the wheel came off it was like drinking a pot of pure cream, disgusting. Took the drink back and the young lad behind the counter stared to argue about the drink. A replacement was provided which was nothing special. The other thing I found disappointing was that on display was a large selection of fresh bread, none of which was wrapped, which meant that Britains great unwashed were in a position to handle the food, cough over it, or as they made their choice clothing could brush over the loaves. Overall this is in complete contrast of our experience of the southbound services, which were professionally run, and the staff were very welcoming Will not return.

I have recently been diagnosed with celiacs and asked for a gluten free wrap for myself and a normal one for my husband. The lady preparing it said she was covered in flour but if I didn’t “really have celiacs” I could still have the GF wrap. I said I have celiacs so I’d have to have something else and she implied I was lying , saying “really? Seriously?” It was so strange and shocking and made me feel quite self conscious. I said I would just take the normal wrap for my husband and she said “so you don’t have celiacs then?” And I had to clarify it was for my husband not myself. I’m very disappointed the GF food here isn’t actually suitable for celiacs due to poor handling and that the staff member accused me of lying about having celiacs for some reason. Even if I wasn’t diagnosed and was just being fussy it’s still a perfectly reasonable request, however I have been recently diagnosed and was one of my first experiences eating outside the home- and was not a very good one.

It is the most thoughtful, calming, least fast food chain, most dog friendly, pleasant, ethical version of a motorway stop. Yes adult food is slightly more expensive than the standard burger / chicken stops but kids eat cheap with an adult. Some tired staff today perhaps but not surprising after one of the busiest Fridays of the year. Overall brilliant.

Stopped on the 28 th August 2024 for lunch at 12:30. Been a few times and in the past always very good so we were looking forward to it. This time no. No trays at the counter but were handed two soaking wet ones from the kitchen area. Lasagne didn’t look good and tasted worse. (I should have refused it at the counter but didn’t which was silly of me) The server behind the counter had shoulder length hair and no hair net. No knives or forks available so had to ask for some. To top it off had a stomach upset that night which I never get. Maybe they think they can rest on their laurels after the recent television series. They can’t and will soon lose custom.

We used to look forward to having a cooked breakfast here en route to and from holidays, visits to family etc etc. It was always superb quality and very filling. However the breakfasts we had today were a big disappointment. Used to get a nice big serving of proper bubble and squeak but today all we got was a very small dried up ball of potato with a hint of cabbage. The sausages used to be huge and very tasty - exceptionally high quality. They are smaller now and distinctly average. My bacon was hard and yet greasy at the same time and the eggs were mediocre. Surely they can get decent eggs can't they? Such a pity. I wonder if their lunches and dinners have dipped too? Took a look around the farm shop and the butchery counter looks less interesting than it used to - I used to like to buy unusually flavoured sausages from there but they only had run of the mill ones. I've bought some lovely lamb pinwheels before and some stuffed chicken breasts but no sign of anything like that today, it was all pretty boring.

Visited both Southbound and Northbound services (breakfast and late respectively). The facilities are fantastic, lots of toilets and baby changing facilities and the indoor play areas were clean and well appointed. We found the place clean and well staffed. The outdoor areas were lovely to stretch our legs during a long journey. The breakfast was lovely and service was quick. The lunch time food was also nice, but it took a long time to get served and many options were unavailable - though this wasn't made clear until we had queued up and already decided on what we wanted. Whilst the two ladies that served me were friendly enough, there were a couple of ladies audibly moaning about things to their colleagues who were trying to serve etc, which was quite off putting. Overall I would visit again as the facilities are great and the food was nice- just a shame that some staff could do with some updated customer service training which let things down.

Travelling home to Birmingham up the M5 we thought a meal at Gloucester Services would be better than cooking when we got home. How wrong we were Checked the website and saw that the Kitchen n was open until 2100 so felt confident of calling in at 1930 for a decent meal. Arrived and quickly checked the menu for availability then joined the queue (only 2 people in front of us who were waiting for a fresh Cottage Pie to be cooked. Looking at the display all we could see was scraps of food congealed in serving dishes ands some potato wedges. The remnants in salad bowls even looked unappetising When the people in front were finally served I asked for the vegetable tagine, only to be told that they only had left what I could see in front of me. The member of staff was totally disinterested, saying it was not his problem that they had sold out - it had been a busy evening. I pointed out that the menu was still advertising the tagine, but that was not his problem either - that was his managers fault. I was not happy at all with either the food quality or availabilty and asked why that was not made clear before queuing - again “not my fault” When asked what I could do was told “go to the Quick Kitchen (which do not serve meals), and write a review. We left, completed our journey and got a delicious takeaway at home. I am left appalled that Gloucester Services can treat customers like this ( and I have been visiting several times a year since they opened Staff attitude scores a big fat ZERO

Stopped for a snack/lunch on the way home from Wales trip. Unfortunately it was a busy time so being that we weren't that far from home but thought a couple of coffees would hit the mark. Avoiding the queues I opted for the machine and got 2 large White Americano's. They turned out to be not massively hot but also seemed to have a minimum amount of coffee in them and we both drank half from having no other options continuing the journey but I can honestly say that they were the worst ground coffee coffees that we have experienced and a very premium cost to boot A few days later (today) I was clearing the car and went to empty these cups down the drain to dispose in recycling and was dismayed to come across the remaining contents to have separated and looking very unwholesome indeed. Doesn't make me feel that I will be wanting to stop by again

First off, I get the concept, fresh food and produce, locally sourced. Also, the place is spotless, everything looks clean and new.You seem to be forgetting your target audience. The place was deserted apart form about 30 trucks parked in the HGV car park, which is miles away from the main building, (hmm, front line? Out of the way). The building was deserted, 8pm Tuesday night, I have no idea what peak times are like, but in my experience most service stations have a steady stream of people coming through. Wanted hot food, all that was available was a few pies, and toasties. Very limited on the drinks next snacks front, possibly as the majority of the station was closed!? Then I realised I was lucky as the one counter that was open was closing at 9!! Not a 24 hour operation then? It’s a good job everyone stops using the motorway at that time!? Oh and a final point, prices are extortionate!! £7.15 for a drink and a toastie, fuel is 20p a litre more expensive than other stations!!!

As ever these services outstrip any other in the UK, all Covid safety measures in place for 2nd lockdown, decor getting ready for Christmas, facilities beautifully clean, home-made sausage roll fabulous, but when it comes to coffee - it fails totally. Coffees are molton hot, tasteless, and if you order a flat white for £3.45 this will resemble a weak white coffee, no froth in sight. These services desperately need to employ a few good baristas who know what a coffee is and how it should be served.

We stopped at the southbound service station on our way to Cornwall and were so impressed we stopped on the northbound one on the way home.To start, the facilities are excellent, lovely loos with cubicles that you can actually fit in. Hands free flushing (nice during a pandemic), plenty of hands free soap, water and dryers. The cafe is lovely although we didn't partake of food on this occasion. The shop is marvelous. We bought their Gloucester old spot sausages on the way down which was the reason we stopped on the way home, to buy more! We stopped off here for a break and a meal. We always time our journey on the M5 to include a visit to these services as we generally find them superior. On this occasion we were heading north. We found the food overpriced and not very appealing. The man serving was very nonchalant. He served food, took payment, handled our drink bottles and cutlery. He was not wearing gloves and I felt uncomfortable with the hygiene of him touching so many different things. I watched him during the course of our visit as we were eating. He spent a good deal of the time (it was quiet) twiddling his keys around in his hands between serving customers. At no time did he leave the counter (when he might have washed his hands). He continued to serve, take payment, hand out cutlery etc. At one point he put on one glove but did not wash his hands prior to doing so. He then used the gloved hand to hold his keys! There is no point having Covid safety measures in place when the staff are behaving in such an irresponsible way. You need to retrain your staff urgently. We won’t be eating there again.

It saddens me to have to write this as we have been visiting Gloucester Services both North and South since it opened and think that all motorway services should be like this. However, on our two journeys to and from Somerset/Cornwall in September and October we were so disappointed.Okay, yes, we are all avoiding this awful Covid situation as best we can, but on visiting Gloucester South in September, we were appalled at the lack of signs/supervision as to where to enter the services, the rude, shouty employees when anyone decided to take charge and create a little bit of sanity within the mayhem! The food offered was not anywhere near as good as it used to be. We decided to just have a coffee and take it back to the car.Our visit in October proved to be even worse! We were travelling back on a Sunday so decided to call in Gloucester North for one of their lovely Sunday roasts. We were confronted with an array of greasy burgers, chips, more chips, sausages, chicken nuggets .... in fact nothing better than the cheap and nasty Moto Services down the road. On asking what had happened to the roast dinners we were told that this is all they could serve since lockdown!! Excuse me, but we have been dining at restaurants since Covid rules eased a little and have never felt put out in any way. It must be awful for customer facing employees to deal with this dreadful situation but I’m sorry Gloucester Services, we came away with the impression that your catering section are taking the easy option and serving trashy junk food instead of the lovely home made, home cooked options that we have become accustomed to. What used to be something we looked forward to on the long journey to the West Country has now become somewhere to avoid. Next time we’re taking sandwiches!!

We often stop off at Gloucester services because of the dog walks and the up-market feel of the shop and restaurant. On our last visit we needed a bite to eat for a later lunch and I bought two 'foggies' (pasties), one beef and one lamb tagine, from the deli. We were so disappointed with both the quality and value for money. The pastry was hard and totally lacking in seasoning and the fillings, although reasonably tasty, contained little meat and were meagre in quantity. As Devon residents and frequent visitors to Cornwall I know a little about pasties and can confidently say that Gloucester Services offerings are grossly inferior. We'll keep stopping here on our travels but will definitely not be buying foggies next time.

However the sausages are far too spicy for breakfast. The bacon was almost raw it was so undercooked. And the egg was small and hard. And to cap it all, it was cold by the time we eventually sat down to eat it as we waited so long to be served with our coffees. Although there are 2 coffee machines, there was just one lad serving the coffee, therefore the queue was extremely long and we waited ages and all the time our breakfast was getting cold. Having ventured the queue just inside the doors where most people seemed oblivious to the 2 metres. Staff on duty didn't seem bothered to do anything, just stood there.I then took out a second mortgage to buy a takeaway bacon roll and coffee £8.15 ouch .... whilst the bacon sandwich was boxed up quickly the same could not be said on the drinks service which was incredible slow to say the least. Always wanted a lukewarm bacon sandwich and felt for the guy following whose breakfasts were getting even colder by the minute on the uncovered plates.Wasn't particularly impressed by either the sandwich or coffee and have had much better.Had high hopes as previously visited Tebay nr Penrith owned by same company. Combination of poor service, lukewarm food left me very disappointed and won't be coming back.

Never thought I’d ever say a motorway service station was a lovely setting but never say never. Great food too. All freshly cooked and local produce. Farm shop on site has great produce too. Staff were excellent adhering to social distancing. Never once felt rushed to leave our table. Actually felt refreshed after stopping here.

I saw the covid changes on our visit to the northbound services. I wasn’t impressed with the way they’ve displayed the cakes. Just wrapped in cling film isn’t acceptable if your claiming to be artisan. Worse the cakes and pastries are likely to go sweaty as it’s still at room temperature. In the cafes you have nicely presented cake counters with someone serving them. Could those changes be made possibly?

Stopped off here for a stop very good service station, very nice atmosphere and nice food. Some reviews have said it was dirty but when i stopped here it was ok not dirty. The only thing i would say is it was difficulty to get a disabled toilet because they are used has family changing rooms tooZ

Stopped off for lunch at the Northbound Gloucester Services. Whilst queuing for our meal my wife and I were amazed to see one of the serving staff (Aleks) with his face mask under his chin and of no practical use. With the mask in this position he was leaning through the hatchway to kitchen staff and shouting over open plates of food that were waiting to be handed to customers. On occasions he would pull the mask over his face using the front of the mask and not the ear loops and then immediately pick up plates of food for service. On returning home I emailed the services in the hope that they might rectify the issue but have as yet received no response. I don't think it needs to be said that we will not be returning

If you want to relive the bad service and dirty premises associated with sixties motorway service stations, then go no further than the M5 Gloucester Farmshop services. Despite covid, or maybe because of it, this is the dirtiest, messy and least welcoming venue we’ve visited in many years. Nearly all of the tables are covered in someone else’s cups, plates, food boxes and no doubt covid 19 bacteria (see photos). The management, when this was brought to their attention, seemed totally uninterested!Seriously, this place needs a visit from the local authorities and closing down until it is safe to visit and fully compliant with covid 19 regulations.

21st August 11.30am An absolutely appalling experience today. Went to Quick Kitchen and got a cold, overpriced bacon bap and tea. Took it away to eat in seating area to find all the tables covered in dirty, used crockery. COVID will be rampant here as the hygiene/cleaning requirements are obviously being flouted by the staff. We cleared our own table after use and could see other customers having to move dirty plates etc before they could sit down. There was a growing queue to get in to the building with no-one in charge of numbers entering. A carefully designed building with no-one managing it properly. We won’t be back.

The kitchen service was appallingly slow to the point my daughters breakfast was cold. When I asked for this to be dealt with the staff member pulled a face and said I would have to speak to her manager (more waiting whilst my food went cold).Whilst the food was replaced the staff member rammed the plate at me whilst looking in the other direction, no apologies no customer service. The till experience was not much better, the lack of manners continued with the sour attitude and expression.Overall the service was appallingly slow and the manners of the staff were non existent with faces like wet week end. Very rude and unwelcoming experience one we shall as a family of 5 not be revisiting.

We popped in to get some chips and a tea at the Quick Kitchen here and I can say it is the best service station I have been to. There was excellent quality food on offer. I did not have to queue long and the service station was very clean and tidy. The customer service provided to us was excellent as well.

As a person who works in the hospitality business and my place of work following the COVID-19 rules very strictly, I was quite shocked at how poorly this place is following things. First off they’re not enforcing the ‘track and trace’ system, they just have posters dotted around, this is poor in my option. Tables were not being cleaned properly, as you should really be cleaning the chairs as well(unless they’re fabric) as dozens of people will touch the bottom and sides of the chair to tuck themselves under. Tables have a little leaflet saying ‘ table has been sanitised’ even though they haven’t, I watched countless times people leave the table, someone clear away the plates and then not sanitise. I understand that it’s a frustrating time for staff in this industry but they need to at least try to have a smile when serving people, to make them feel more comfortable. Also whilst going into the toilets there were 4 members of staff just talking, blocking the walkway into the toilets whilst it was busy. The signs on the floor for directions are very confusing also. Now onto food, sandwiches are poor and we could of been better off getting a Asda takeaway sandwich for a much cheaper price. I would not recommend coming here.

I have become a more frequent traveller due to a change of job. Your service area is one of my favoured stops for the south west. Lovely and clean, nice staff and decent parking. Sadly today I decided to try some food on the northbound. I was served by a young lady wearing glasses her name badge said “Doreen”. A lovely sparkling smile, pleasant approach and very polite. I choose the fish, chips and peas as on the hot plate it looked pleasing to the eye. By the time I had been served with my drink by two lads chatting about an essay they had to write to a young lady who was also staff and getting a drink for her break my food was getting cooler. I sat outside and started my feast, only to find it was more batter than fish, the chips were dry and really the whole meal was a disappointment. Had I paid full price £14 it would have been very poor, and even with the government discount I was disappointed. I did look for a supervisor, but aside from the busy serving staff there was no one in sight. Lovely location, prices are extortionate. I will stop for the loo in future but sandwiches and a flask from now.

Terrifying experience. Nearly took out a loan for a falafel and guacamole wrap with some chunky chips. Mouth drier than the desert after the wrap consisting of half a grated carrot, cardboard like falafel and half a teaspoon of the rankest guacamole I’ve ever put in my mouth. There’s a butchers in the farm shop where they carved meat with what sounded like a chainsaw while you could browse the extortionately over priced snacks and buy a packet of skips for £1.10.

We arrived this morning to grab a quick coffee and cake and use of the outdoor space. When we arrived, the signage on the floor and boards were so confusing, causing utter chaos. Thank goodness most, but not all, wore a face mask. It would be easier to enforce single file than criss crossing signage, causing the entrance to be blocked which would be horrendous in an emergency. A man informed people takeaway was on the right but nowhere was this advertised and a little too late. It made it impossible to socially distance. Even the ropes weren't being utilised to enforce social distancing. They should be more prepared for mass arrivals on a sunny day.

This was our 3rd visit to Gloucester services and the 2nd time we bought breakfast there. The range of food on offer is brilliant with porridge and patisseries to an option of 5,7 or 9 items of a cooked breakfast (pricing obviously increasing with the more items added). I opted for the 7 item breakfast but had to settle for 2 sausages as the Bubble & Squeak was not available, not too much an issue though as the sausages are lovely. However, some of the food was cold, most noticeably the mushrooms which had no heat in them at all, and the bacon and tomatoes were lukewarm too. Drinks are well priced and my pot of tea was thankfully very hot!In regards to the current pandemic, the whole services including the kitchen is very well prepared and layed out with floor markers and there's plenty of seating outside to enjoy the duck pond. The shop has a one way system in place and is definitely worth nipping into if you fancy treating yourself to some fancy food or drink.

With its large farm shop and plenty of local produce and artisan goodies, if you have a choice, this is a good place to stop. We did so on a Saturday evening but for the first time with the express purpose of having a hot meal. It wasn't unduly late (8.00 pm) but most of the dishes looked a bit tired. The staff had a take-it-or-leave-it attitude. We took it, but at those prices, we might have been happier to have left it. Shame. Disappointing experience at a lovely service station.

I've driven past here many times but never really had need to stop. On this visit due to closures not much was open, but we did get the required coffee and were able to use the toilets. Like Rheged near the M6 in Cumbria this facility offers something different from the usual stops (e.g. like nearby bog standard Strensham!). It has a continental feel and apparent eco credentials. Also it is a more independent chain with a farm shop. I like the way its set out, BUT, it does feel, even by motorway service standards very expensive. I get the concept but struggle with the cost, we had some shopping to do but choose not to do it on those grounds!

This motorway service station exudes quality in contrast to most similar venues. The food hall was excellent and we were able to purchase sausage rolls made from local rare breeds such as Gloucester Old Spot. The facilities were clean and the staff were welcoming.

Visit to the Quick kitchen, 7th March 2020, Northbound. Bought Tea (own mug) and a bacon sandwich. The chap didnt pre heat the cup, water was well below boiling, consequently the tea was insipid and weak. The bacon sandwich was not buttered, the roll used was dry and powdery. A pretty horrible experience and expensive to boot, not again for me.

Decided to stop here on the recommendation of friends who had recently called here, and it didn't disappoint! From the moment we approached the building we could see it was totally different to the usual services found on the motorway. Food was great - we had a cooked breakfast, and the quality of the ingredients was second to none. They claim that they use local ingredients, and the bacon and sausage were superb - so tasty! The cakes and sweet treats were very inviting, but we couldn't manage anything after our tasty breakfast, so that will have to wait until our next visit. There is a large shop, selling a wonderful array of foodstuffs, and a lovely shop selling other lovely things, from a selection of clothes, to toys, homes are and more. It up s not cheap, but everything is excellent quality. The seats were comfy, it was very clean, there is a small indoor play area, and a relaxing atmosphere.

Gloucester Services are fantastic. Not just a stopping place to grab an overpriced greasy burger. Gloucester Services are like no other service station I’ve ever been to. The restaurant serves amazingly great food at reasonable prices all with a organic/green/eco ethos running along underneath. No little plastic sachets of sauce to be found here. No Costa, no McDonald’s just honest, good food. No amusement arcades.

Piled high as you walk in cakes, bread , savouries . All there for you to handle, sneeze over, cough . I thought in the past we kept things under wraps to keep items fresh . Why is this trend ( which you don’t get any where else in the world) allowed . Do they throw it all away at the end of the day......wasteful! Or is allowed to fester in a bacterial way throughout the week. Avoid .

I really like the ethos here, who expects to find a farm shop and artisan bakery within an M5 service area!? Fresh and delicious, very clean but you do pay for the privilege! 15th March 2025 just after midday. Just two elderly people who for once decided to have a fish and chip dinner takeaway on our way back home from Gloucestershire. My wife purchased them by card and would not tell me how much they cost us until we were back home. Although hinted that we, for an extra fiver each could have had a sit down two course restaurant meal. But that was not the problem. To be fair when the boxes were opened there was a half lemon plus a savoury dip. And—although there was a ton of chips, ( almost enough for two maybe three servings in each box) the majority of them were hard and sharp with many black marks on the actual chips. Also rather dry. The fish was plentiful and well battered but was very dry also and not absolutely certain if it was ‘cod’ or not!! Really not sure if the chips had been cooked before but had to leave most of mine as did my wife. A shame really as this was our first fish and chip dinner for ages. Just to mention we are not trouble causing people but would definitely have expected better considering the price. Although the price was not the problem. But the chips did not get wasted as the resident seagulls were not bothered whether they were hard or not!! So, do not think we will be risking a fish and chip takeaway again. Sorry but feel that this needs to be addressed as neither of us was very happy and just could not be bothered to drive all the way back to the fish and chip shop or contact by phone to point this out! For the price paid we would have expected something that we could have actually eaten and enjoyed! Regards — Jonathan W.

While the food was very good. This Chinese all you can eat restaurant should be called the Chinese eat what the manager says you can eat restaurant .He came to our parties table with an aggressive and loud voice saying we had ordered to many dishes and to be aware of the £7a dish charge for uneaten food letting not just us but the whole know , so embarrassing and as a result members of our party left feeling hungry and at £25 per head this was not on . Will definitely never use this place again and could never recommend to anyone
